"I got the fancy one they had." Stiles said as he gave Derek the bullet he needed to save him, Derek nodded and got out of the jeep with Stiles right behind him, Derek broke the bullet and spread the stuff inside on the wound that had been killing him this past day, blue surrounding it and it healed, Stiles let out a breath and leaned against his jeep,

"Thank you." Derek thanked him, Stiles nodded as he motioned for him to get in his jeep, "I need to show you, someone." Derek told him as he got in and started giving Stiles directions.

"This is my uncle, Peter Hale, he was in the fire, with a wife and unborn baby." Derek looked down, Stiles looked over to the man who wasn't moving and had a burn on his face,

"You didn't have to show me this," Stiles whispered, Derek looked up, and Stiles hated how defeated Derek looked,

"If we're going to defeat the alpha, you need to know that no matter what, the Argents? They are part of the problem." Derek told him, "They set the fire, they did this, they are supposed to have this code, but not her, she used me to get to them because of what we are, It's my fault, and I don't know how but maybe this will help." Derek saddened,

"Thet that's what we'll do, We'll stay clear of them and focus on the alpha, and also I'm sorry for what Kate did." Stiles looked down,

"How'd you know?" Derek asked and Derek looked surprised, and Stiles was surprised at how well he was able to read him,

"I figured, you said her." Stiles shrugged, He was really starting to hold a grudge against Kate,

"What are you doing here?" A nurse asked, Stiles and Derek said that they were leaving and did just that.

"Thank you, Stiles, for today." Derek thanked him, Derek smiled, actually smiled at him without trying to hide it and Stiles could swear he could die from the sight,

"You're welcome, I couldn't let you die." Stiles murmured, Derek nodded, "My dad doesn't like me hanging out with you, by the way, I still am though." Stiles informed him,

"You shouldn't disobey your dad, Stiles," Derek told him, He loved the concern Derek showed,

"I am and I will continue to do so, I need to have one person to talk about werewolf things with, I can't just tell Scott." Stiles answered, "Besides, who else would keep you company?" Stiles winked,

"Good question." Derek almost smirked, Stiles grinned to himself looking down, What was this feeling in his gut?

"Do you play lacrosse?" Stiles asked as this was almost the perfect opportunity to get to know Derek,

"I'm not in high school," Derek answered, Stiles rolled his eyes,

"Well, when you were?" Stiles asked Stiles should have been more specific,

"A little bit, why?" Derek asked, Stiles smiled lightly but he was also nervous,

"Wanna help me practice?" Stiles eyed him, Derek shrugged and nodded as they both walked into the woods.

When Stiles got home it was just before eight and his dad was sitting on his recliner share,

"Still with Hale?" His dad asked Stiles wanted to make everyone understand that Derek was not a bad person,

"Really? This again? He is my friend, Dad, I thought we were passed deciding who I can't and can hang out with?" Stiles asked,

"Well, apparently not." His dad said as Stiles shook his head, Anger was slowly blooming in his gut,

"I won't stop hanging out with Derek, Why can't you just understand that everyone needs a friend? He lost everything as soon as his place began to burn, he lost his uncle who is comatose at the moment, he lost his mom, his dad, his sister Laura, and Peter lost his wife and unborn child, That family has been through hell, and I plan to be a guiding shoulder, I may have only lost one person, but as Derek said, my loss isn't less significant than his." Stiles told his dad,

"I just don't want you in trouble, okay? and he seems to attract it." His dad told him,

"Well whatever, night Dad, Love you," Stiles told him, walking upstairs shaking his head.

His dad's reasoning didn't make sense, Derek didn't attract danger, it was him being a goddamn werewolf that did, it wasn't his fault and he couldn't believe his dad's logic.

Stiles turned two branches into proper lacrosse sticks using the material in the forest and handed one to Derek, they used a pinecone as a ball,

"Just some passes, okay?" Stiles verified, Derek nodded and passed Stiles the ball, Stiles passed back and they continued that motion for another 20 minutes, "My dad thinks that there is something going on between us, Can you believe that? What is wrong with just having a friend?" Stiles rolled his eyes as Derek shrugged,

"No idea," Derek told him, Derek was not meeting his eyes as he spoke, did he know something he didn't?

"Me neither, Apparently because you are in your twenties he thinks you are too old, I mean I am 16 but really Dad?" Stiles shook his head as he threw Derek the ball,

"He's your dad, it is sort of his job to make sure you don't hang out with the wrong crowd," Derek informed him passing the ball back as he caught it,

"And you, my friend, are not the wrong crowd." Stiles winked,

"I sort of am, I am getting you to help me defeat the alpha." Derek sighed,

"Nu-uh, that is much of my choice as it is yours, he has to be defeated, or else he will kill again and will bring me along for the ride, and I cannot let that happen." Stiles pointed to Derek,

"I know," Derek told him, Stiles nodded throwing the ball to him again.
