Reunion
It's been a week since they have been in land, something that quite surprised Kaida, but what surprised her more is the attitude Sturmhond, Tamar and Tolya were having with her, distant, Sturmhond could barely look at her.
Kaida woke up in a good mood, she didn't have nightmares that night and she was happy about it.
She walked out of her room and went out with a bright smile.
"Good morning Matt," she said to one of the crew members.
"Good morning Kaida, you look in a good mood," he said with a smile.
"I am," she answered."I'm glad to hear that,"
Kaida walked towards where the breakfast was being served and took a muffin and a glass of clean water.
She was eating alone and she was so bored that she started playing with the purple mist between her fingers.
"Kaida," Tamar called her, making her jump and the purple mist flew somewhere in the boat.
"Saints," Kaida said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Tamar said with a smile.
"It 's fine. What do you need?" Kaida asked her without smiling but with a happy tone of voice.
"Sturmhond wants to talk with you in his cabin," she informed.
"Oh, okay. Thank you," Kaida stood up and started walking towards Sturmhond's cabin. When she arrived in front of the door she knocked.
"Com in!" Sturmhond said inside.
Kaida walked in and she was surprised to see Tolya there and then to see Tamar entering the room.
"Good morning clever fox. It's been a while since we haven't talked," Kaida said in a good mood that disappeared when she started reading Sturmhond and Tolya and Tamar's feelings. "I can feel something is wrong. What 's wrong?" she asked seriously.
"I hate when you read my feelings," Sturmhond said. "But, we need to talk about our next client," Sturmhond said, looking at her unsurely.
"We have a new client?" Kaida asked surprised. "I didn't know. What's wrong with it?"
"It's The Darkling," Sturmhond didn't hesitate before saying it.
Kaida stared at him with surprise and confusion. "Are you joking?" she asked. "He is joking," she said looking at Tamar and Tolya but they didn't say anything, then she decided to read Sturmhond's emotions and he wasn't lying. She looked at him with pain and tears in her eyes.
"What? Wh-wh-why?" she asked, confused and holding her tears.
"He is going to pay me a lot of money, and..."
"You are selling me for money!" Kaida screamed angrily. "You know what he did, you know what he's capable of and you are going to help him! Not just help him, but to give me to him,"
"I'm not going to give you to him, Kaida. I'm going to give you 5 thousand kruge so you can run away," he said putting the bag with the coins on the table.
"Are you fucking kidding me?! How could you?"
"Listen, I couldn't say no. My plan..."
"Of course you couldn't say no, when money 's involved you never say no," Kaida said with pain. "That's why you've been avoiding me these past few days. You were ashamed. Well, you know what? Fuck you Sturmhond," and with those words Kaida left the cabin angrily. She walked towards the cabin that she seared with Tamar and took all her things. She walked out and without a word she left the boat.
She was feeling sad, betrayed, again, Sturmhond had sold her just for money, she thought that Sturmhond cared about her, but it was all fake. She was alone, again.
