Y/n Downey was the princess of the Downey Kingdom. A prosperous kingdom north of their rivals. The Holland Kingdom. Not only did the kings and queens not get along great. The heirs did not either.

Y/n sighed heavily as she walked up to the Holland castle steps in her fancy dress.

All kingdoms and nobles were invited to a cookout. Y/n frowned when she caught a glimpse of the youngest Holland. He saw her and smiled deviously. Then he ran away and Y/n watched as he came back with the oldest. They both frowned when their eyes met. Then his father whispered in his ear and he shook his head. Then he began walking towards her. The Holland's and the Downey's have been trying to get their families united since the first day of Y/n's birth. Just then Robert, Y/n's father, walked up beside her. "Here comes Tom. Act like you enjoy his company dear." He told her.

"Ello darling." Tom greeted smiling in a fake way.

"Use a more formal greeting." Lorenz, Tom's tutor and bodyguard, sternly told him. Flicking his purple hair back.

"Um. Right... Princess Y/n, it is a pleasure," Lorenz gave him a side eye. "I mean. Lovely evening innit," Another side eye. "Oh. Wonderful to see you Princess Y/n. I mean... um. Good evening?" Lorenz side eyed him agitated while Y/n snickered.

Y/n curtseyed and smiled warmly. "Good evening, Prince Thomas." She said in the most graceful way possible. He rolled his eyes and adjusted his cuff. And for a moment Y/n actually took in how handsome he looked.

Tom looked up and caught her staring. He smirked. "Like what you see?" He asked.

"Not in a million years stupid." Y/n rolled her eyes and walked to the courtyard with Tom following her.

"Hey. Aren't we supposed to be royalty?"

The cookout went very well. And then Tom was asked to make some kind of coming-of-age speech afterwards. He stepped onto the podium, pulled out his phone, and cleared his throat. "Hello everyone. I'm, no, I am eighteen now. I remember like it was yesterday when I was ten and learning how to give speeches like this. And yet here I am. I'm not doing well am I?" Everyone chuckled. Even Y/n. She found herself liking something about his voice. The way he talked maybe. Or the way he delivered his words. But she enjoyed hearing him speak. After his speech was over nobles and royalty alike stood up to shake his hand. But Y/n could tell by the way he looked at her and dismissed the presents and medals, that he just wanted to talk to her.

Y/n was standing on the balcony looking at the stars. "Lovely evening innit?" Tom asked her. She nodded her head. "It's lovely, but not as lovely as you." He whispered. Y/n shot her head in his direction and his face turned red.

"What?!" She exclaimed.

"I. What?" He turned away and sighed. "Truth is Y/n. I really... I like you a lot. I've liked you for the longest time. And I do truly want to spend the rest of my life with you. My life as a king with you as my queen. Even my life as a father, with you as my wife. We have to get married some time anyway, so I thought I'd tell you-" He was cut off by Y/n shushing him.

"I like you too."

"You do? Then why do you act like you hate me?" She shrugged and took his hand in hers. He squeezed it and smiled.

"I do truly love you, Thomas Holland."

"And I love you too, Y/n Downey."

(A/n: I skipped the wedding bit because I don't know how that works.)

"So do you guys no longer hate each other?" Sam asked putting on his putting green. Tom shook his head.

"I don't think we ever did. I think we were just pretending."

"Speaking of here she comes now." Harry said taking his turn to putt. Tom turned around and walked towards her.

"I thought you might be in here. King Holland. But don't you have a meeting to get to?"

"Well, I could, or I could stay here with my beautiful queen all day."

"Yuck. Get a room!" Harry yelled.

"You might as well address them as your highnesses." Sam added on.

"Nah, cause then their ego will be even worse." Harry said.

"What ego?"

"My point." Harry scored the final point and smirked.

"Ugh," Sam complained. "You don't listen."

A/n: Man, my ending sucks. I might change the story later on. You'll know when, because of course, the author's note will be gone.
