Iyanna's POV

The celebration for the return of the prince took place inside of the huge dining room. I felt out of place so I stood at the door and watched.

"How long has he been gone?" I asked Parry.

"A little over six months, no one knew where he went or had any contact with him for a while," he replied.

"Why was that?"

Parry chuckled, "Mr. Micas is very rebellious and can be very eccentric. Since the death of his mother, his father has had a hard time controlling him," he said.

He didn't look rebellious to me. He was clean shaven, dressed very well and he spoke very softly.

"He doesn't seem that way though plus he smiles alot" I said.

"Take it from me Miss Iyanna, never let an outward appearance fool you."

That I have been told for sure. The people who always look well kept tend to be the worst kind of people at heart.

"Parry, are you ready?" Tomas interrupted us.

"Yes young lad, meet me out the back. I have some manure for Hensley, I need help getting it into the van," Parry said to Tomas then left.

"Hey, did you find the bag with the food I left under the stairs for you? I asked Tomas but his gaze was fixed beyond me.

"Wow, he is back" he said as his eyes lit up with the same excitement as Satte's.

"Tomas, focus," I snapped my fingers before his face and it made him jump.

"Sorry ma'am. What were you saying?"

"The bag with the food under the stairs, di-"

"Oh yes, thank you Miss Iyanna, my mom sends her kind regards, '' he whispered.

"Good, I have something for you. I turned from him and reached into my bosom to take the note out, "Here, give this to Hensley and tell him to give it to Mera."

"Miss Iyaann, no offence ma'am but don't you have a phone? Everyone does well except me but you are big," he said with childlike innocence.

I pinched his little cheek.

"Unfortunately not at this time and I think notes are much safer anyways," I replied to him.

I honestly never thought of getting one since I had no one to really communicate with. Mera had one that she used to talk to the Baker's boy and half the time she would misplace it.

"Ok Miss Iyana, I will pass on your note. See you later" he said before skipping away to meet Parry who was calling out his name.

I switched my attention back to the small group that was gathered in the room. Satte was all smiles and blushing at everything Micas was saying.

"Iyanna" Satte shouted my name and I followed my intrusive thoughts and made a run for the stairs. I know she wanted me to join them and maybe embarrass myself in front of their precious Micas.

"Hey!" someone shouted as I bumped into them.

"Oh I am sorry" I said.

"Miss Brently."

I looked up to see Pausley smiling at me.

"I am really sorry, I was trying to-"

"It's ok, pretty lady, you can bump into me anytime," he said.

I stepped back from him because his gaze on me made me uncomfortable.

"Excuse me sir."

I was about to walk away but he blocked my path, "Where are you running off to?" he asked.
