Iyanna's POV

"Miss Iyanna, this is Luwart, he understands everything about running the new gas line to the kitchen."

"Thanks Satte, nice to meet you Luwart, I hope you can do a good job and do it fast."

I shook his hand and he smiled at me.

"I promise Miss Iyanna, this will be done in no time," he said.

"Hope so," I replied to him.

Hope to God because I didn't have much time to waste. I wanted to get the kitchen up and running as quickly as I could so I will have something to keep me busy.

"Iyanna, are we going back to The Manor soon since we still have to prepare for supper and attend to the planning for Saturday?"

I really didn't know how to tell them that my only interest right now was the kitchen at the Vineyard.

"Satte, you can go back but I will stay here."

"But you will be needed, your input might be important to us," she said.

"Here is what you can do, take some notes and when I get back to The Manor, you and I can go over them."

"Will you be back in time for supper?"

"Sure," I answered.

"Ok," she said, then left the kitchen.

Out of respect for Goffery was the only reason I was going to supper with them.

The Tension between Micas and I made me want to stay as far away from the house.

Also I tried to set the phone up but it was just too tedious for me.

FlashBack

"Micas, I have been lookin for you."

He was standing with his driver, they seemed to be going somewhere.

"For?" he asked coldly.

I looked at Lowell and he knew to move away from us.

"The phone, I don't know how to set it up properly. I hope you could do it for me."

He looked down at his feet, rubbed his boot into the grass below his feet then looked back up to me.

"I fail to believe that you don't know how to do it. I think you want to bother me Iyanna."

Don't say it Iyanna...

"You are so obnoxious," I blurted.

It was provoked so it had to be said.

"Well you can read then you can do it on your own. Have a nice day Iyanna."

He stepped away from me to join his driver. I stood there feeling so embarrassed. He glanced at me twice before I could build up some dignity to walk away.

Ends Flashback

"Where should these go?"

I turn to see Jerrin entering the kitchen with a bag over his shoulder.

"Jerrin?.. Oh, please just put it anywhere."

"It's the grout to do the repairs, don't allow it to get wet," he said then turned to leave.

"Hey, are you leaving already?"

This wasn't like him. Not even the usual smile.

"Yes, I have to be in the fields today," he said.
