Iyanna's POV
I tried to close the door to my room but someone pushed it open and entered behind me. I didn't even stop to look, I just started aggressively throwing my stuff into my suitcases.
"Iyanna, stop!" I heard Ira keep shouting but I ignored her. With a blurry vision which was caused by tears, I tripped over my suitcase and fell to the ground.
Lying there face down I screamed as loud as I could to get all my frustration out. Ira came to my rescue but I wanted no help.
"It's ok Iyanna, let me help you up."
"No, leave me alone, I just want everyone to leave me alone." I cried.
Another person came into the room and helped Ira to take me off the floor. They placed me onto the bed and I wiped my eyes to see that it was Satte.
"Tell me what you want, anything you want to do I will help you," Ira said.
If I say kill Micas Valant, I'm sure she wouldn't help.
"If you want to go home I will take you," said Satte.
"If I go home like this I will have to explain to my parents what happened and I don't want to embarrass them. I want to go home happy and with a free mind, not because some boy broke my heart."
"Iyanna staying here won't make things better."
Ira was right but going home like this would only make me bitter and miserable.
"I would be giving Micas exactly what he wants, he will win—"
Stupid of me to think like this but now nothing makes sense.
"You are in his territory, Iya, he will always win. If you stay here he is going to push you until you either give in or leave here hurting even more than now."
"It shouldn't have to be like this. Why is it like this?"
"It's the way things work Iyanna and if you want to stay here then you will have to learn how to operate like you are in Wishore."
Well since she is here maybe I should start asking questions. She was the right person to ask because she knows everything.
"Why am I being blamed for everything, Satte?"
Both her and Ira looked at each other before Satte took the space beside me on the bed. She twisted her fingers for a little while before she started to talk.
"Jerrin and Micas were in love with the same girl, my best friend Leena Corst. We all grew up together and we were pretty close but as we grew up, a lot changed, Leena got prettier and the boys noticed and the competition started."
"That's who he went to after he fought Jerrin?"
"Yes," she answered.
I felt a kind of pain in my stomach that I couldn't explain.
"Micas basically won Leena but everyone had it that she truly loved Jerrin but Micas was her match on paper, status, family values and all."
"Wealth marrying wealth in Wishore" Ira added.
"Yes, however Leena left Wishore because she didn't want to centre of the rift between Jerrin and Micas and we all knew how competitive and determined Micas was."
"Whatever Micas wants, Micas gets." Ira said.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to hear more but it was better to know than be ignorant and feeling foolish everytime they talk.
"Maybe because he was rich and Jerrin is poor so he easily wins the girl?"
"No really because Leena didn't care about money, she really loved Jerrin."
