Chapter 17- The Heart

Satte's POV

"I really missed something," I said. I tried to believe my eyes. The place was dark but it was clear as ever. Micas and Iyanna?

"I told you. Whatever Micas Valant wants, he gets" Jerrin said. It was hard for him to mask the disappointment in his voice.

"That's really Micas and Iyanna on Wishore's Beach kissing?" I asked and Jerrin chuckled.

"Yup, that's them for sure. Iyanna's wavy hair is unique and that's Micas with his distinct height and perfect poster" he said.

"I am so sorry, Jerrin. I know you like her but none of that makes sense to anyone, it will only..."

"Don't say it, I already know," he said.

I had to admit that they looked good together and I was wondering if I fell asleep and this was all a dream. "Pinch me," I said to Jerrin.

"What?"

"Pinch me, I want to see if this is real." I grabbed his hand and he pulled away from me.

"No, I won't because it is real."

"You think we should call out to them?" I asked.

"No, just let them have their privacy."

"They are leaving but not to The Manor," I observed.

"That's because they are staying at the cottage at the Vineyard, that's where I first saw them together," he said.

"So that's where they both have been? This is really shocking and I never saw this coming."

"Yeah, not shocking to me,like I said. I have seen how Micas acted when he saw us together, he did not like me being around her."

"So he really likes her?"

"They were kissing on a dark beach under a romantic sky, Satte."

"You are doing too much now."

"I'm not, it's obvious," he said.

"Well, what do we do? Should we tell them that we saw them kissing?"

I still did not believe this. Why would Micas even do this? Poor Iyanna, she doesn't even have a slight clue about what she got herself into.

"No, you leave them alone and let them announce it whenever they are ready." Jerrin said.

"Yeah because maybe it's not even anything and they just got caught up in the moment and shared a kiss I guess."

I hope to God it was just for Iyanna's sake.

"You and I saw that kiss, it was not just a momentary kiss."

I took a deep breath, "Let's go back to The Manor, I need to sleep this off."

"She will be fine, you worry too much about other people, Satte."

I stopped and looked up at him.

"None of us knows where this girl is coming from or what she has been through. Jerrin I love Micas as my friend but I don't love him for Iyanna."

"That's not your choice Satte, allow her to learn and handle herself."

"Against Micas Valant?"

"Yes, let her make her own choices. You can't save everyone from him."

I stormed off and he followed until we were back at The Manor. I told him good night and made my way back into the house hoping that I would go unnoticed but I wasn't so fortunate.
