Iyanna's POV

No one was saying anything and the Manor was at a standstill. Goffery stayed back while some of the men left, we all watched from the side while not having the slightest clue of what to do.

"This is about giving me a nervous breakdown," I said to Satte.

"I don't think now is a good time for that, we have to stay strong for whatever is about to hit us."

That didn't sound good.

"You think it's really bad?"

"Look at Mr.Valant, you noticed how he keeps rubbing his shoe into the dirt and cursing with Halrey?"

"Yes, he looks very upset."

"That's because it's something bad."

Then why was she telling me to be strong and not have a mental breakdown? Micas was in an accident and it wasn't looking good.

"They are coming!" Parry shouted. We all run to the front of The Manor to await the cars coming up the hill.

"Iyanna, I think I should have a word with you in private," Goffery said to me.

He has never called me Iyanna before. He just completely shattered my nervous system because I started to shake.

"Why, what's going on?"

He looked in the direction of the car then backed at me. "It's about your father."

"My father?"

"Yes, he has been badly hurt-"

Was the last thing I heard before I blanked out and ran towards the cars. Before I could reach someone grabbed me and tried to stop me from going closer.

"Iyanna, listen please."

I knew it was Micas' voice but I refused to believe it was him. He held onto me while I tussled with getting away from him. I watched as they opened the car door to remove a man, who was looking lifeless and bloodied.

"Father?" I asked, my mind seemed distant, like I was in another dimension. Disbelief took me over for a moment and it wasn't until Micas' spoke again I realised that all of this was real.

"I'm sorry," Micas said.

"Father!" I screamed. Now it was hard for Micas alone to contain me and he had to seek help from others. They got me into the house and tried to console me but nothing they said could make me stop crying and screaming for my father.

"I need to see my father."

"Iyanna, I can't let you go in there right now, not like this."

"Please Micas, I have to see him, just let me see him."

He looked at everyone around me for approval and they all agreed in one way or another that I should see my father.

"I will go with you, you can't go alone."

"Miss Breantly, I promise that the best doctors are on their way and they will take good care of him, he will be alive," Goffery said and I nodded my head in agreement.

He took my hand and helped me up from the chair. I was shaking like a leaf but I was a little brave knowing that Micas was there with me. We got to the room and I pushed the door open, Eltha was by his bedside cleaning his face up.

"Miss Brently, he called your name twice," Eltha said. I was in pieces all over again. Micas held me until I was done crying.

"You don't have to stay if you can't right now," Micas said.
