Mica's POV

After everything that had happened, I stayed enclosed for an entire day. Only Satte I allowed visits from and it was brief, there was no energy in me to speak on anything that had happened.

There was a knock on my door and I just knew it was Satte, I let her in with a tray filled with food.

"I hope you have an appetite today, I got you mostly watering fruits and your favourite, maple toast sandwich with pecans." As good as it sounds, I still didn't feel like I wanted anything to eat.

"I will have some later."

She came and sat on the bed with me. "You have to eat something, you barely had anything yesterday Micas."

"You know this is exactly how I felt when my mother died? I didn't think I would be going through this feeling again."

"Micas, come on, no one died, well someone did but he deserved it."

"Iyanna doesn't think he deserved to die for betraying her trust."

"Micas Iyanna she is not going to think he did. So you have to understand why she feels the way she does. She is not of our world. You and I know it is cruel here, people don't get chances. You know this."

"I didn't not expect her to understand it all, however I expected her to at least try to understand me."

Or at least try but she isn't even trying and that hurts me.

"It will be hard for her Micas, it's all foreign for her."

"I know."

"Ok. so stop beating yourself up because you did the right thing."

I reached for the cup of tea and took a sip. I could feel the warmth going down into my stomach, I really needed to have something to eat.

"How is she?"

"Miserable, just like you she hasn't left her room or eaten much either."

I expected that behaviour from her right now, plus she is very stubborn, no one will be able to get her to leave her room or do anything if she doesn't want to.

"Well the good thing is, she has her family here with her."

"Yeah and she said as soon as her father was able to travel, she would be leaving with them."

My heart literally skipped a beat and the warmth from the tea no longer existed in my stomach, now it was with rumbles and coldness.

"She said that?"

"Yes."

"Her exact words?"

"Yes, her exact words," Satte replied.

My forehead started to spring water and I knew it wasn't caused by the heat from the tea, this was all from actual fear.

"Now she is going to leave? All because I killed someone she doesn't even fucking know?"

I got up from the bed and walked to the window to get some fresh air, hoping the cool breeze would cool me down but I only got angrier every time I thought about it.

"Micas, I am going to tell you the same thing that I told her, you two should just sit down and talk to each other."

My head snapped back to Satte. "What did she say when you told her that?"

"That I should get the hell out of her room."

Fuck, I knew she wouldn't be easy.

"If she leaves here, that's it. It's over."
