"Rohit, you are getting it all wrong. It's nothing like that. No one, I mean no one can take your place in my life" Virat tried to explain him as Rohit was upset.

"Please Ro, sorry na" Virat said again seeing Rohit not even looking at him.

Virat poked his bicep, till Rohit smacked his hand being annoyed. Virat just put his arms around Rohit, "sorry na panda"

"Don't do that ever again? You not talking to me is the worst feeling ever!" Rohit said hugging him back.

"Never, I promise" said Virat back.

Today, Virat broke his promise. He didn't even talk to him. Nothing he said, not a word. For once, he could have asked that "Do you really want me to go? No Rohit, I am not gonna leave you. I am staying here, do whatever you want to do" nothing of that sort happened.

But it was me who pushed away Virat.

He could have stayed.

Did u let him?

"Rohit take ur medicine" Ritika said breaking his train of thoughts where he was confused between his heart and brain.

"You are disappointed with my decision", asked Rohit to Ritika who had come back but not said a word about his decision.

Ritika shrugged her shoulders, "It's your decision, I supported you when you decided to leave everything. I will support you now", she said.

"Did you meet Vamika?", Rohit asked after a second.

Ritika who was setting the room, "Yes I did", she said back.

"Sammy is still Anushka's place. She will come in one or two days. I couldn't deny her request of staying some more time with Vamika and Anushka" Ritika informed him about the whereabouts of his daughter.

Rohit sighed at the tone of Ritika, she was just passing information to him. He didn't like it but after what he did again, it was bound to happen.

"They are okay, right?" Rohit asked again not able to control himself as he had sure from Virat. That word gave him chills down his spine, the emptiness behind that.

Ritika had it now, she had enough of it.

"What do you want Ro?", she snapped at him.

Rohit knew what was gonna come. He didn't know if he can hear that outburst. But in his subconscious, he knew he needed that eye opener. That realisation, may be Ritika can help him unknowingly. He needed that courage which he knew it will come through this conversation.

He thought to give it a try, if still doesn't exist then life can go on without them otherwise with them. With them, it sounds so much better. But the pity and sorrow, it is so difficult.

"Can you just decide once? What do you want to do? Push them away, if yes, then stop asking these questions and stop giving me hope that u care about them, one day you will go back to the team and complete our family. Because my hope got crushed when you sent Virat away again" Ritika said folding her arms and questioning him.

"Do you even have any idea about what is going on with their lives? You know I understand why you pushed them away, but it was okay when it didn't cost you anything but it did. It did Ro, it costed you your peace, your health and your family" said Ritika trying to make him understand the importance and intensity of the emotional turmoil of everyone including himself.

"What do you mean by "going on in their lives"? What is going on Rits?" Asked Rohit afraid of what it was.

"Why you want to know now Rohit? You really thought they would pity on your "condition" as you termed. Think Rohit, did they ever - did Virat ever pity you?" Ritika asked him.

Rohit just looked down knowing how it was not a right decision but how to explain that their painful faces, their presence, it makes him weak.

It makes him weak to an extent that he feels helpless and just want to cry in Mahi bhai's arms. Just stay close to his best friend, wanting his support that everything is gonna be okay.

But he knew it was not, he had accepted the fact that nothing was gonna be okay again.

Not him, not any relation of his.

He had accepted that he would never gonna be able to walk again. So why to tag along the people and ruin their lives. Ritika and Sammy were already part of it which he cannot remove or push them away.

But he can stop others from getting involved in his mess and he is doing exactly that.

So enough of dwelling on the fact that he needed his team, his best friend but just to accept the fact that they were better off him.
