Part 39. Its okay

Virat made Rohit sleep properly on the bed covering him with comforter. He couldn't help but caress his forehead, seeing him in that state— Virat could never forget it in his life, the way Rohit was terrified and he pushed Virat, he can never.

He switched off the light and went outside the room to inform others, knowing they would want to know what was going on.

"Is he okay?" Mahi and Jinks were the ones who rushed to Virat, asking Rohit's state.

"He was not sometime back but now he is sleeping, he is exhausted so I don't think we can continue more conversations whatsoever" Virat said, solely worried about Rohit and only Rohit.

Jaddu was furious at that, "But we didn't even get to know half of it, don't we have the right to know", he asked being frustrated.

Virat curled his fist, "I don't care. I don't know if you have the right to know or not, all I know is right now Rohit doesn't need this. So you can think whatever you want, I am not letting anyone resume this discussion", he replied sharply.

"Virat it's not that, it's just Rohit and for that matter even you agreed to share with us and now suddenly" Ash began and Virat saw Mahi, Bhuvi and Jinks also shared the same opinion.

"You all or even me, we don't know what Rohit has been through, I know the details what caused this but not what Rohit has gone through. So not to increase his sufferings, I am just requesting you all to wait for sometime" Virat didn't have any option but to request them at this point.

"If anything is assuring you all, I myself will call you guys and share all the details but not now" Virat said again hoping they would understand.

Mahi nodded at that in understanding and everyone left from the outhouse leaving Virat and Rohit, they also needed time to process everything.

Virat released a breath and collapsed on the couch being exhausted from explaining everyone, every single time about how he was thinking about Rohit's well being.

It was after 2 hours, Rohit's sleep broke and at that very instant he remembered was how he pushed Virat, he felt horrible at that memory.

"How do you feel? U hungry?" asked Virat seeing him awake. He moved towards him from the couch and checked his forehead just in case to be sure, stress could cause him fever.

"A little exhaustion, ya I am starving" Rohit said feeling a little normal with Virat's touch and his soft voice, he could feel change in Virat's demeanour.

Virat brought dinner for him, it was almost night time with everything.

"Let me" said Virat forwarding him a bite.

Rohit was surprised but felt very normal with that. But he could not forget how he had pushed him in his traumatised state. He didn't even realise when he did that.

"What's wrong? U don't like this, should I arrange or make anything else?" asked Virat seeing him not eating the food and lost in thought.

"I am sorry Vi" said Rohit looking down, not able to meet his eyes— guilty of his actions.

Virat kept the plate aside seeing that. He could also see a tear in Rohit's eye which he didn't want to see ever.

"Rohit? What are you talking about? Sorry- for what?" asked Virat softly.

"I— pushed you, I didn't— know" said Rohit not able to form words to defend his actions, he didn't want to defend, he knew he was at fault but he could never intentionally hurt Virat.

Virat felt bad and upset to see Rohit like that. He didn't know how it was, he used to feel nothing and a wave of emotions are rushing through now, reason was Rohit.

"It's okay, you have nothing to apologise for" said Virat composing himself.

"No— I have to" said Rohit shaking his head in denial.

Virat knew at that time, he had to do this. Rohit was trying so hard to get everything back to normal, now it's his time even if it was difficult as hell- he was gonna do it. For Rohit, only for him.

Virat held his hand which made Rohit look up, "it's okay Rohit, happens. I am here, let's take one day at a time. You only said right, let's face it together so let's , just know I am here till the time u need me" said Virat calmly yet softly.

Hearing that, Rohit hugged him tightly.
