'Rohit, you brought this on yourself. Everything was going well but you had to sacrifice yourself as a martyr. How sad for you that you will not see the light of day in the morning'

'I don't regret it one bit'

'Oh! You will now'

As soon as Rohit heard this, all he could feel was pain. The kind of pain that he had never felt before. The sound of Rohit's screams echoed throughout the room.

'Rohit, Rohit' he heard someone calling his name, 'where was that voice' He was in a state of struggle between his subconscious mind and the presence of the voice, which was close to him and had a familiarity to it in all the pain he was experiencing.

'Please Rohit' he heard it again and then he could separate himself from his subconscious mind  when he heard 'please' and that desperation in the voice. It just felt that someone cared for him, where he was.

Rohit woke up with gasping for air only to see Virat looking at him. He wanted to find that concern in his eyes but it was not there.

'You okay?' Virat asked as he helped him in sitting position and gave him water so that he could catch his breath.

Rohit focused on himself to calm his breathing. He gulped down the glass of water.

'Better?' He heard Virat asking him but wasn't sure what to answer him.

Virat didn't receive any answer so he just took the glass from Rohit's hand and kept it aside as he looked lost in thought.

Virat came back in 5 mins and handed him the cup of coffee.

'Will help you' said Virat in a quiet voice.

Rohit took a sip of it and looked at Virat.

'Something wrong?' Virat asked seeing the weird look on Rohit's face.

'No nothing' Rohit said averting his eyes from Virat and focused on the coffee.

As the hot coffee touched his lips and the taste reached the tongue, he was simply relishing it. First time in the whole year, he felt normal. Because the coffee was made by Virat. The essence of having his friend by his side, it just made Rohit feel normal.

'Can I get more?' Asked Rohit once the coffee was finished.

Virat took the cup from his hands, 'No Rohit, it has caffeine and only a small amount of it is allowed. Tomorrow you can', he said.

'The same?' Rohit asked like a child who wanted his favourite chocolate again.

Virat saw his face and then said, 'Yes', as soon as he said yes, Virat noticed Rohit having a little smile on his face which he hadn't seen before. From the time he had arrived here, Rohit was having this weird robotic look but today there was something. Virat took it as a positive sign.

As Virat went out of the room, Rohit couldn't help but think about Virat. He wanted Virat to say something else then yes and no or other things than what he was saying now.

He had to do something. For himself because he wanted this warm feeling which he got from coffee. He needed that for himself, for that he was gonna be a little selfish and do anything to get that feeling again.

His thoughts by his phone ring,

'Dadaaaaa' the cute little voice greeted him which brought instant happiness on his face.

'Hello my bacha, how are you?'

Before he could recieve any answer from Sammy, he heard saying something, 'Vamu, put that down it will hurt you'

'Sammy?' Called Rohit but there was no answer, he could just hear voices.

'D, this want this' he heard Vamu saying something to Sammy.

He heard his little munchkin voice after so long. He held the phone close to his ear not to miss anything. He heard Vamu calling Sammy 'D' as she couldn't say 'Didi'. It was so heartwarming. A lone tear slipped from Rohit's eye.

'No it is not allowed Vamu, it will give u boo boo'

'Vamu? What happened?' He heard Sammy again.

'U scold, u don't love me'

'If u get boo boo then it will pain and then u will cry. I love you the most Vamu' Sammy said, 'give me a hug'

'Wait let me get you something else to play' Sammy said and Rohit knew now there was no chance Sammy was gonna come back on the phone it was long forgotten.

He kept the phone aside and couldn't help but think how Vamu just complained like Virat.

But suddenly out of nowhere he got an idea.
