Part 20. Idea

Virat came back in the room, he noticed Rohit looked much fresh and better now compared to the time he had woken up before.

'You okay?' asked Virat just to be sure. 

Rohit just looked at him, 'Can we just talk about something else rather than you asking me if I am okay for the nth time. Looking at my condition, Do you ever think I am gonna be okay? So just stop asking that, I hate when anyone asks me this', he said or rather snapped. He tried to control his emotions but he could not. Rohit looked at Virat if there was any hurt expression on his face but there was none. 

'Okay, sorry about that. What do you want to talk about?' 

'How's everything? Like at home, with the team, anything you can tell me' Rohit asked nervously still feeling for the nth time that he doesn't have the right to know it after leaving all of them for an year. 

Virat was puzzled on what to say as he didn't knew anything what Rohit was asking. But he could not stay silent as listening Rohit's tone of uncertainty, him not saying anything will only increase his insecurities. 

'All okay at home and with the team too, everyone missed you a lot' said Virat adding the last bit purposely hoping that his attention would be diverted to that rather than the details. 

'When did u go home last time Virat?' 

Rohit noticed Virat getting nervous as he saw his hands were shaking and Virat was trying to stop it somehow. 

Before Virat could say anything Mahi arrived in the room, 'I will just come' said Virat and left the room immediately. 

Virat thanked Mahi for coming at the right time and on the other side Rohit didn't want to but he cursed at the timing of Mahi to come in the room. 

'You don't seem happy to see me Ro?' said Mahi giving a smile to him knowing that he had entered at the wrong time. 

'No bhai, nothing like that' said Rohit composing himself, 'Bhai, when was the last time Virat went home?', he asked. 

'I don't have any idea Ro as I said he just stayed in touch if it was your update nothing else than that' 

'Then why didn't you try harder bhai any of you' snapped Rohit but immediately regretted it seeing Mahi's shocked face. 

Rohit closed his eyes for a sec, 'I am-- I am sorry', he said apologising to him for the tone he had used.

'It's okay Ro you don't have to apologise for voicing out your worry' 

'Can you just check on Virat once, he didn't seem okay as I asked him questions' Rohit said noticing that Virat had not returned yet. 

On the other side, 

Virat entered the room where he woke up before. He closed the door and tried to take deep breaths to stop his hands from shaking. He drank water to calm himself but it was not working. 

'Hey Virat, you--' Ash entered the room and saw him trying to drink water but his hands was shaking so much that half glass was spilled on his shirt. 

Ash helped him immediately, he made him sit down first and poured other glass of water and helped him to drink it as there was no way Virat could hold it. 

'What's wrong?' 

'Has our luggage arrived from the hotel?' asked Virat once he was back to his normal self. 

'Yes, it's in the hall' Ash said and Virat just nodded at that. 

'Should I ask you why the hell your hands were shaking so much or u can read my mind' 

'Ash, I have to check on Rohit' Virat said and left the room without even waiting for Ash's response on that. 

Virat collided with Mahi who was coming to check on him, 'Cheeku aaram se', said Mahi holding him by his shoulders. 

'I was just going to check on Rohit' Virat said and left from there before Mahi could ask anything. 

'You are here, help me to sit up and freshen up a little' Rohit said when he saw Virat at the entrance. 

Rohit wanted to continue the conversation with him but he decided to start his idea which he got earlier knowing that it will help in some way to him and Virat as well. Or it would turn out that Virat would get irritated and leave him, he didn't know why he thought that but it crossed in his mind. 

Virat helped him and then made him sit properly. 

'Virat, I need that AirPad' Rohit said and Virat handed him that. 

Once he got to leave to arrange his evening meal, he heard Rohit once again, 'Virat headphones too' 

Virat handed it and straightened the pillow behind his back. 

'Virat' Rohit called him again as he was at the door. 

'Yes?' Virat asked again. 

'Coffee?' Rohit tried to push his luck as Virat was agreeing to everything. 

Virat sighed, 'Tomorrow, right now it's your evening meal time' he said a little firmly to which Rohit nodded and Virat left from there. 

How come he is so expressionless, his Vi was not like that!
