Part 65. Whirlwind of Emotions

"He will also go away now like everyone did?", asked Virat slowly breaking the silence in the room.

"He won't, he loves you way too much for that-- probably more than any of us. I always wonder why though but trust me he will not", said Rohit trying to make him understand. 

"No, you dont know-- he never left me, last time he slapped me-- he had hugged me after that.. today he did not", said Virat breathing unevenly. 

Rohit rubbed his arm, "calm down Vi, he is here in the house only. He didn't leave you, he is just angry, he will comeback to you", he said softly. 

"No-- he left me, cannot-- I cannot, help-- Ro, help", Rohit didn't even realise Virat was having panic attack, it was so sudden. 

Rohit tried to calm him down but nothing was working. He called Jaddu from his phone while gently rubbing his palm to calm him down. 

He could not turn or get up to hug Virat, that helplessness had hit him again which  made him numb. Before Jaddu or anyone could arrive, Virat had gone unconscious.

Jaddu came in the room and rushed to Virat's side making him lay down properly. Rohit noticed KL behind who had tear strained face, "he had a panic attack and went unconscious", Rohit explained. 

KL nodded, he called Aman and explained the whole situation who replied back that he is coming with Maya. 

"Are you okay?", Jaddu asked to Rohit who just nodded in return. 

Rohit looked at KL standing near the door, leaning and watching Virat knowing he was breathing. 

"K?", Rohit called softly.

KL looked at him, tears welled up again in his eyes. He just left from there and went in the lawn. 

"Let him be for sometime, it is not easy, for him or for any one of us", Jaddu said keeping his hand on his shoulder.

Aman arrived with Maya while Maya sat with KL, Aman went inside, Jaddu and Aman took him to another room. He checked on Virat, he just gave an injection to him which would help him in recovery. He also changed the dressing of his wound. 

Jassi and Shreyas stayed with Virat as they arrived while Jaddu, Ash stayed with Rohit. 

Jaddu sat beside Rohit as he was looking out of the window where KL was talking something pacing and frustrated as he ran his fingers through his hair, face. Aman seemed to calm him down but it was not working. Maya was talking to him it felt like that, she was trying to understand what was going on. 

"His armour is breaking, isn't it?", Ash asked they had never seen KL this expressive. 

"It's Virat after all", Jaddu said replying. 

"How does it feel when you are not capable to help your friend?", asked Rohit slowly. 

Jaddu and Ash turned their attention to him, "what do you mean?", Ash asked. 

"When you see your friend going through something but you cannot even move to help him. You have to wait for someone else to come, how does it feel?", Jaddu looked at Ash as Rohit said it. 

"It does feel helpless honestly but with you Virat did need the emotional support mostly, I do remember your presence is enough to make him feel at home, Rohit. I know it is hard not to feel like this but you have been thinking a lot about your physical abilities due to which even if you try you cannot help Virat in emotional aspects, just think about it", Ash said and left the room for meal arrangements. 

"Why does he have to be so correct all the time?", Rohit said with an annoyed along with soft expression. 

"I know right, it is like he sees through our soul", Jaddu said rolling his eyes. 

Jaddu kept his hand on Rohit's, "Ro, now Virat will take time to recover, I want you to continue the sessions how he had talked to you about. We should not let that efforts in vain, his or yours. And I am sure the way he cares, seeing you taking the sessions again-- it will help him too", he said reminding him. 

"I know we have wronged you Jaddu but when Ryan had taken me in that isolated place, when he used to beat me or torture me, my thoughts would be always like-- what would our idiot rajput do in this situation", Rohit said. 

He didn't know why he want to convey Jaddu that it was not deliberate that he or Virat did what they did but he had the realisation that they had done wrong by Jaddu and whole team for that matter. 

"Many times I tried some tricks you know to get out, till of course my legs were working but was unsuccessful", Rohit said remembering the days. 

Jaddu could feel him shivering as he was holding his hand. 

"Rohit, I know you never intentionally hurt me nor Virat did and trust me I am not angry anymore. I am just hurt and with time it will heal, with your presence, Virat's-- seems like Virat's healing process is gonna heal us too you know", said Jaddu softly. 

Rohit smiled at that, KL came in the room and just buried his head in Rohit's lap. 

"It is a relapse-- his state is very critical, Maya said as he knew what he was doing-- we have taken a big step back in the recovery", Rohit and Jaddu heard KL crying, narrating the state Virat was in. 

"I don't wanna loose him, I don't-- I can't loose him BRo, please do something", KL said sobbing in his lap. 

Rohit looked at Jaddu who was also numb by that, Rohit caressed his hair to calm him down, "K, nothing will happen to him kiddo, we are here with him right. You won't loose him, no one is gonna loose anyone, we promise you", he said softly. 

"Yes Rah, we did a mistake last time-- we won't do it again", Jaddu said supporting Rohit as he noticed how Rohit used "we promise" knowing very well this time Rohit cannot do this alone.
