Part 70. Revelations Unveiled - II

"So he got a hint about me having doubts on him. When I had a confrontation with him, he challenged me to do everything in my power to save Vi if I can", continued Rohit remembering those difficult days. 

Virat was not ready to listen what torture Rohit went through nor was Rohit to say it out loud. But they had to do this. 

"I am not sure how did I reach the basement or the place I don't where it was-- the incident before that I only remember I saw Ryan mixing something in Virat's food but somehow I think it was just a trap for me and sadly I fell into that", Rohit explained. 

Rohit took a deep breath and now he did not look at anyone, "He tortured me, I cannot remember exactly for how long. I just could not give him the satisfaction, I knew if  I am not there others will protect Vi but he then just took away the only thing I had at that point of time, cricket. He broke my spine in rage", finished Rohit only to receive silence from all of them. 

Rohit could not stop his tears but continued anyway, "Someone helped me to run away as Virat said he got killed, I called Ritika and then she got me admitted and the treatment. I just could not meet anyone after that", he completed. 

Maya could not help but observe how Virat had totally gotten stiff when Rohit was mentioning about the torture. 

"I think we should all take a break", Ash said composing himself, wiping his unshed tears. 

"Just a sec, what happened to Ryan?", Shreyas asked this time, not only him everyone wanted to know that. If he was alive they wanted to kill him with their bare hands. 

Rohit looked at Virat who looked down not knowing how to say it, but he did it anyway, "He is dead", said Virat and then Rohit held his hand, "truth Vi, how is he dead?", he asked.

"I had my guy Robert who was a private detective kill him-- I didn't know about the thing but I knew he had tortured you with all the blood there, I told him to do the same torture and killed him at the end. Police anyway had a lot of evidence against him, Robert was part of the police setup so it made a lot easier", explained Virat. 

"you saw it in front of your eyes?", KL asked this time. He was afraid that Virat had seen two people being tortured and killed infront of him. No wonder the emotions abandoned him completely. 

Virat nodded at that, KL looked at Maya who also noted the same. She blinked her eyes in assurance. 

Jaddu left the room and Ash followed him, Virat looked at Rohit worriedly who just held his hand in assurance. 

Ash kept hand on Jaddu's shoulder, "Jaddu?", he called gently. 

"Call me insensitive, it was Virat's fault Ash. For once he would open his eyes and see what is going around him. Rohit, he suffered so much, God-- I cannot even imagine, how painful it must be", Jaddu said burying his head in his hands. 

Ash could not blame him now even he for a second thought this. But they could not say it loud. 

"I know Jaddu, it's not insensitive", Ash said but they did not realise that Virat who followed them after a min with help of Jassi heard that. 

Jassi looked at Virat who was shocked to hear that, "Don't say anything to KL or Rohit, can u do that for me Jassi?", he asked gently. 

"Yes bhai, I can", Jassi said taking him inside, "take me to the terrace Jassi, I really need some air", Virat said and did that. He helped Virat to climb the stairs.

Jassi sat beside Virat after putting a jacket around him, Virat surprised him by keeping his head on his shoulder. They just sat in silence there. 

Meanwhile in the room, it was Rohit, KL with Maya and Aman. Others left to see the arrangements. 

"Rohit bhai, I can call you that?", Maya asked to which Rohit nodded, "What did you observe about Virat bhai that made you call me here?", she asked wanting to observe the pattern. 

"He cried and asked for help Maya like he was pleading that he was so lost and he hated himself", Rohit said sharing it with her knowing it would help in his progress. 

Maya noted it down, she looked up to see they were waiting for answers. 

"Right now, I have to resume his sessions again. Medications are strictly not advisable so we have to work with sessions, if you don't mind bhai, I would like you to be there was his sessions once or twice just to see something", Maya explained to which Rohit agreed immediately. 

KL rubbed his forehead feeling tensed about everything. Rohit just put his arm around him to assure him or himself, he didn't know. 

"We will leave now, we will visit tomorrow", Aman said and KL acknowledged. 

As they left, "What's wrong Rah?", Rohit asked softly. 

"I don't know I am scared bhai, how to forget that even when we were there with Virat, I was there-- he still took that step", KL asked not able to forget it. 

Rohit didnt even know what to say on that, he himself was yet to come into terms with that. 

"I know, it's really hard Rah but he needs us at the moment and we need to move on from that because if he gets the hint or realisation that we still hold something like this, he would be devastated-- he would loose all the hope you know", Rohit explained softly wiping his tears. 

KL nodded in understanding, "he will be okay right?", he asked. 

"Yes slowly he will be", Rohit said holding his hand.
