Part 46. Ready

"I will tell you Rohit, can we just take it slow? Everything will be just so difficult at once" asked Virat, he didn't know if he would be able to handle everything at once.

"Sure Vi" said Rohit assuring him.

"First, can we get back to the thing you said— like if I am here to fix you?", asked Virat, he really wanted to clear it up badly.

Virat never in his life wanted to give the impression to Rohit that he was just there with him to fix him. He just wanted to be with his best friend, be it any state but never out any pity.

"What about it?" Rohit asked.

"Let's get one thing right, I am not here to fix you or anything. I didn't even know this— I only knew that my friend did something to you. I didn't know what he did, I just got to know from him that you were in horrible state which made me— angry", said Virat firmly.

"Okay Vi" Rohit said as that tone assured him.

"Second thing, as we are gonna try to make things right which I am scared if it is ever gonna be the same. But I have to clear it you and only you, that I never ever gave up hope on you" said Virat, trying to make Rohit trust him.

"I seriously don't care what others think of me but I never gave up on you, I mean I could never no matter how angry I was on you", said Virat.

Rohit saw an unconditional trust and sincerity in Virat's eyes and his voice. It was Vi, his Vi.

"Do you trust me that I am saying the truth?" Virat couldn't help but ask.

"I completely trust you, I am glad that you didn't give up on me", Rohit said assuring Virat with a smile.

"Thanks. Now, third and final thing, We have to start the medications, exercises and physiotherapist sessions from tomorrow. I don't know what is gonna be the end result but as we have always believed in trusting the process, we have got to do that now" explained Virat.

He saw Rohit listening carefully.

"So first we got to change your medications. I will send Shreyas to get that. Because I really don't want any issues or mix ups you know" Virat said to which Rohit nodded.

"Physically, we will be working on some exercises but Ro the most important thing I wanted to ask you is, are you ready for this mentally?" asked Virat, knowing how much of an important aspect that was.

He noticed Rohit getting into a thought as he said that, "I will come in a minute", Virat said to which Rohit nodded.

"Shreyas" Virat called coming out of the room.

"Yes bhai" Shreyas literally walked fast and jumped a little feeling happy as Virat talked to him after so many months. Though he missed Shrey, his nickname. But he is happy to even talk.

"We got to get this new medications, can you get them? I can't trust anyone and I can't take risk in this matter", Virat said.

"I understand bhai, I will get it" Shreyas said taking the information from him.

He went in another room and saw KL sleeping with his head in Jassi's lap.

"He just slept" Jassi whispered.

Virat couldn't help but caress his forehead. He looked at Jassi, who just asked permission with his eyes and Virat put his arm around his shoulder.

"Thank God you are okay, you have no idea how scared we were" Jassi said hugging by his waist.

Virat patted his head, "please take care bhai", Jassi mumbled hugging him tightly.

"I will. I am sorry for everything Jassi" Virat said.

"No bhai please don't say that. I just want you and Rohit bhai to be okay. Nothing else" Jassi said looking up.

Virat caressed his cheek, "I will try my best", he said.

Jassi gave a soft smile which Virat didn't know after how many days he noticed and felt warmth and welcomed by someone other than KL.

He closed the door instructing Jassi to take some rest too.

Virat went in Rohit's room, he saw that he was lost in thought, "You okay?", he asked.

"You know when I saw falling unconscious, it felt the world stopped at the moment. I tried so hard to help you. I even hit my legs to just for once provide me support so that I could help you" said Rohit helplessly.

A tear tickled down Virat's eye hearing that.

"I called Rah, my hands were shaking so much as I was so scared and anxious. That the phone fell from my hands and I couldn't call the Doctor. I had to watch you lay there for God knows how much time" Rohit shared.

Virat held his hand telling him to continue, "I never want to feel that again. So, ya I am ready. Don't know what will be the outcome but yes I am ready", Rohit said.

Virat hugged him tightly to that which made Rohit smile and hug him back.
