Part 45. Outburst and Hope

When Virat woke up next after lunch, he felt a little less disoriented. He noticed he was sleeping in sitting position. His head was on Rohit's shoulder.

"How are you feeling?" He heard Rohit asking him.

Rohit noticed him moving and waking up. Once they were done with lunch, it was just 10 mins, Virat was asleep with his head on his shoulder.

"A little more in place I think" said Virat having some water.

Rohit couldn't help but ask, "Do you remember what happened?"

"Yes I guess, a little blur but I do remember. I am sorry Rohit, for everything that happened. I didn't know how it happened" Virat started to apologise.

"I will tell you how it happened" KL said entering the room with Jassi and Shreyas.

Virat knew what was coming, not exactly but he had an idea seeing KL's expression.

"How much?" Virat asked burying his head in his hands.

"Three, are you out of your mind?" yelled KL, causing Virat to look down. Rohit and others were surprised too listening to that of their Rah.

"I am sorry" Virat mumbled audibly.

"You are sorry? That's it, you are sorry. Do you even realise your mistake?" KL yelled again.

"Rah, calm down" Shreyas whispered to him but KL didn't.

"I didn't do it intentionally" Virat said in his defense.

"You never do it intentionally, this is the third time. Do you even realise that those are not some kind of chocolates you eat, those are heavy anti depressants Virat" said KL being worried and angry at the same time.

Others were shocked at that information.

"If this happens again, I will never forgive you Virat bhai" he said, Virat noticed how a lone tear fell from his eye.

KL left the room and Virat followed him.

"Rohit bhai?" Shreyas called as he and Jassi sat beside him.

"You okay?" Jassi asked when Rohit looked at them.

"He is on anti depressants" Rohit whispered being scared and upset about it.

Shreyas and Jassi just held his hand providing him some support if they could.

"K, Rah please wait" Virat said as he walked out of the house.

"Kiddo please" said Virat, which made KL stop.

KL turned and saw Virat, he looked so tired, exhausted even. Virat went towards him, cupped his cheeks to wipe his tears.

KL just hugged him and hide his face in his shoulder.

"Please Virat bhai, don't you ever do this again" mumbled KL.

"I am sorry" said Virat rubbing his back.

"What happened suddenly?" asked KL composing himself, wiping his tears.

"I don't know" said Virat not looking at him.

"You know it but you cannot tell me because it's related to Rohit, isn't it?"

Virat looked up on how did he know it.

"It's not hard to guess, in these 8 months you managed to tell me everything except for the things were related to Rohit" Rah said softly.

"But you got to talk to Rohit, you have no idea how terrified he sounded on the phone. I can't even imagine how he must have felt in all this. He even got bruise on his hand" Rah said explaining him and Virat didn't even respond, he went in the room.

Virat checked Rohit's hands, "where? Where did u get hurt?", KL signalled Shreyas and Jassi, to leave the room.

"Vi calm down, it's just a bruise" said Rohit making him sit.

Rohit showed him pulling his sleeves up so that he could calm down. Virat felt bad seeing it.

They sat in silence for sometime.

"Are you also mad at me?" Virat couldn't help but ask him.

"I am but more than that I just want to know everything but— I am not sure you would want to share it with me" Rohit said, he knew things were changed but he just hoped that this sharing things with each other, was not changed.

"Rohit I, I swear it was unintentional" said Virat.

"But it's harmful, right?", Rohit asked to which Virat nodded.

"And it's life threatening too, right? That's what caused Rah to get so angry, am I correct?" Rohit asked again to which Virat nodded.

"So, how everything started out? What caused the situation to go till this? Tell me everything" said Rohit firmly.

He just waited to see if he was holding onto the hope, did it exist? Will Virat share? If he doesn't then things are definitely never gonna be same.
