4 days later.

Billie have finally recovered from the stomach bug. It was a really nasty one but luckily nobody else got sick. Today she's with Finneas on some kind of meeting. Maggie asked me yesterday if I could come with her today to do some errands while Billie was at the meeting and I of course said yes. Billie's birthday is coming up really soon so I understood immediately what kind of "errands" we were doing.

"Okay, first of all we need to buy all the ingredients for her birthday cake and then we'll see if we have time left" Maggie says while driving the car.

"Okay, sounds good! What's the plan for her birthday?" I ask.

"She doesn't know anything yet so she will hopefully just wake up as usual and we will bring her som breakfast and sing happy birthday and all that stuff. Then we will just kind of act like that was it. But then in the evening we have rented a place and invited all of her friends over. So hopefully that will be a great surprise"

"That sounds like so much fun! I haven't really bought much for her birthday, just a necklace with Shark's face engraved and a funny shirt that I think she will like.." I say and feel a bit ashamed of myself because of how low on money I was.

"She's going to love that, it's perfect Tuva. You don't have to buy expensive things to show someone your love" she reassures me.

When we arrive Maggie parks the car and we walk into the grocery store to buy everything we needed for the cake. We also bought some decorations for the party. When we are done and heading back to the car Billie calls me.

"Hi baby!" I pick up.

"Hi angel, where are you?"

"Are you home yet? I'm just with Maggie helping her out buying some groceries"

"Yeah I'm home now. Oh okay, I'll see you in a bit then. Love you"

"Love you too" I say and smile at my phone before I hang up.

Everytime she says I love you and I get to say it back I blush and get this warm happy feeling in my whole body, god I love that girl so much.

"I'm really happy Billie found you, she really needed someone like you" Maggie says and smiles at me.

"Truth is I really really needed someone like her, she saved me. I'm feeling so stupid sometimes because I can't make it up for everything that she's done for me" I say and look down.

"Tuva that's not true. You have done and you still do so much for her. Ever since she met you she couldn't stop talking about you, she really loves you and she needs you too. She's been through so much these last years with fame and stuff. And her previous relationships were really not good so she couldn't find any safety or comfort in them, which she really needed. She says all the time that 'Tuva is so different, she understands me in ways I don't even understand myself'"

I blush at what she tells me, I didn't know that she felt that way about me.

"I just want to, I don't know, like, protect her for the rest of my life, kind of. Like not in a controlling way, I just want her to always be happy and feel that she's having good self esteem" I say to Maggie.

"You are such a smart and loving girl Tuva, no wonder Billie loves you" Maggie says and puts her hand on my shoulder.
