As Long As I'm Here // Billie Eilish

Birthday

4 days later

Today is the day, it's Billie's birthday and she still doesn't know about the surprise party that's planned for her tonight. Me, Maggie, Patrick, Finneas and Claudia have already been up for a while preparing the breakfast. She's still in bed sleeping, or at least we hope.

"Do you want to go and wake her up Tuva?" Maggie asks.

I nod and starts to walk towards Billie's bedroom as quite as I can. I open the door and crawl up on the bed beside her and snuggles into her side. She wakes up and snuggles me back with her eyes closed.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you" I start to whisper-sing in her ear and she giggles.

"Happy birthday mitt hjärta" (my heart in Swedish) I say and kiss her cheek.

She rolls over towards me and wraps me in her arms as she smiles and mumbles thank you.

"I think there are some people waiting for you in the kitchen" I say and she opens her eyes and smiles at me.

"Should we go and see?" I ask her.

"Yes" she simply answers with a big smile and kisses my lips.

We get up and Billie puts on some clothes before we head to the kitchen. She sits down at the table as we stand up and sing for her.

When the song ends we sit down with Billie and the birthday breakfast begins. We have made breakfast burritos, lots of fresh fruit and avocado toasts.
Billie gets her birthday presents from her parents and from me, I really don't have much money but it's at least something. I bought a funny t-shirt that says "I have the dick so I make the rules" that I thought she would like and a silver necklace with Sharks face engraved. And I of course wrote her a birthday card:

I love you so much and I'm incredibly lucky to have you in my life. I know that this wasn't much of a birthday gift, but you know that if I could I would give you the whole world.
I love everything about you, all your flaws and insecurities. I love everything that makes you who you are and everything that you hate about yourself. I love all of you❤️

Billie reads the card quietly and when she's done she doesn't say a word, just walks over to me and wraps her arms around me.

"I love you so much, it's insane" she whispers in my ear before she lets go.

She cups my face and kisses my lips.

"Eewww, get a room" Finneas mocks us and everyone laughs.

6 hours later.

My mission today is to keep Billie busy so that she doesn't accidentally suspect or recognize her surprise-party tonight. Me and her family have already planned everything step by step long ago. We have already been out for a long walk with the dogs and done other things to keep her busy. Billie thinks that the next thing is that just the two of us are going out for a fancy dinner together tonight. And afterwards we will eat cake at her parents house. Little does she know...

"Okay, I'm ready angel" she says and looks at me.

I look at the clock, it's a little too early to go now, we need to wait for at least another half hour.
