I woke up in the middle of the night to the feeling of something warm and damp beside me in the bed. I turned around blindly in the darkness to try and feel what it was. I felt a wet patch on the bed, I don't think we drank and spilled anything yesterday before going to sleep? I leaned over to grab my phone and turned on the flashlight to try and inspect why the hell my bed was wet.
I shined the flashlight under our blanket slowly, trying not to wake Billie up.

It was a big patch of some warm wet liquid. Did one of the dogs pee in our bed? I looked over to Shark and Ruby but they were both sleeping on the floor. I lifted the blanket more to investigate where the wetness came from. Billie was facing the other way still sleeping, I saw a big dark patch on her pyjama shorts. Did she really?? I looked over her other side and the wet patch was clearly aligned with Billie's sleeping body and her wet pyjama shorts. Oh no, poor girl... I thought to myself. How the fuck am I going to announce this without embarrassing her. I turned of my flashlight on the phone and bent over to turn on the table lamp.

"Billie... Billie.." I told her and rubbed her arm.

She grunted and turned to me still with her eyes closed.

"You need to wake up for a second baby"

She grunted again before her eyes suddenly shut open and a red colour spread all over her face.

"Fuck. No, no, no, no, no" She repeated to herself with panic in her eyes.

"No! It's okay, it's just an accident" I said trying to make things a little less embarrassing for her.

I saw tears filling up her eyes. She sat up quickly grabbing her phone and her hoodie on the floor and ran out of the room with Shark running after her.

"No, Billie wait!" I yelled after her as she took of.

"Shit..." I whispered out to myself.

I got off from the bed to see where she went but I couldn't find her. Then I saw her and Shark outside beside her car with the hoodie tied around her waist to cover up the dark patch. She was crying.
I ran out with no shoes on.

"Wait!! What are you doing, stop!"

She turned around to look at me.

"Please just, I'm so sorry. Please just leave me alone" she said opening the front door to her matte black car.

"No! Billie, what are you doing??!"

"I, I need to get away from here" she told me all choked up.

"Why?! Where are you going??? It's in the middle of the night"

She cried harder.

"Billie it's totally fine if you want to leave tomorrow morning but it's in the middle of the night right now and I don't want you to drive away alone"

She started to sob and put both her hands over her face.

"I -I'm so s-sorry" she wept out between her hiccups.

I took the car keys from her hand and wrapped my arms around her.

"Shhh, it's okay. Calm down. You're okay'

"I'm disgusting, p-please don't h-hug me"

"No you're not! Stop those thoughts"

"Yes I am! I just pissed your bed like a fucking baby!" She almost yells out.
