Namjoon wakes up with a massive yawn, his hair sticking up everywhere and his body stiff as he stretches. He looks over toward the empty side of the bed, frowning to himself. He slowly makes his way downstairs, to see the back of his partner cooking pancakes at the stove. Namjoon smiles, waddling over to him and wrapping his arms around the other who gasps in surprise.
"Morning" Namjoon mumbles, nuzzling his face into Seokjin's neck. He giggles, leaning into his touch.
"Big day today," Seokjin states, Namjoon hums with a small frown, placing his chin on the other's shoulder.
"How are you feeling?" Seokjin asks, giving Namjoon's cheek a kiss.
"I feel okay, nervous for tonight" Namjoon replies, breathing in deeply. Before Seokjin can reassure the other, they both hear a knock at the door.
"Should we just ignore it?" Namjoon asks, now moving from Seokjin to set up the table for them. The person knocks again, but longer and louder than before. Seokjin rolls his eyes, walking toward the door. Seokjin sighs loudly, rolling his eyes again."Hello, Jihoon" Seokjin groans.
"Seokjin. As you may be aware, tonight is the full moon" Jihoon says, his beady eyes staring straight into Seokjin's soul.
"Okay? So?" Seokjin disliked their neighbor, he was annoying and Seokjin wanted nothing more than to kick him.
"Well as you might be aware, the full moon means wolfs"
"You're joking right?" Seokjin scoffs, crossing his arms, "They don't exist"
"Yes, they do! I've heard them, every month I can hear one howling. I've set out traps around the back if you'd let me, I can put them around in your yard-"
"-I'm good thank you" Seokjin attempts to shut the door on his neighbour, but he places his foot in the way.
"Please! It's for our safety-"
"-why would a wolf even come around here?" Seokjin snaps, "Besides why can't they roam around here if they aren't bothering us? We are all asleep anyway"
"They're dangerous Seokjin! Don't be so naive! They would kill you in a moment's notice!"
"Cool. Look I'm busy, if you would please move" Seokjin kicks Jihoon's foot angrily, smiling to himself when he hears the male swear loudly before he slams the door in his face. Seokjin huffs, walking back into the kitchen to see a sad Namjoon."He's right-"
"-no, we are not having this silly conversation," Seokjin says as he sits down and dishes Namjoon's plate.
"But-"
"-no Namjoon." Seokjin shoots him a look that tells Namjoon to stop talking. Namjoon sighs, smiling when he sees Seokjin decorated his plate with a smiley face made from blueberries.**************
Seokjin anxiously looked towards the clock, noticing time went by a lot quicker than he anticipated. He looked over toward his boyfriend, smiling softly.
"Now?"
Namjoon looks up at him, his pupils now dilated and a glowing yellow, Namjoon nods slowly. The two walk back upstairs toward their spare bedroom, a blank room with nothing in there but a large chain on the wall. Seokjin hated to do this to Namjoon every month, Namjoon sat up against the wall, slowly starting to growl, his eyes often switching between his own and the glowing yellow. Seokjin wraps the chain around Namjoon's body, making sure to secure it tightly to him."Is this really a good idea?" Seokjin asks, Namjoon growls at him, nodding.
"Should I get a pillow? Is this comfy?" Seokjin asks him, Namjoon doesn't reply, his body is attempting to get out of the chains.
"N-no, I'm okay" Namjoon pants out as he closes his eyes and tries to breathe. Seokjin looks him up and down worriedly, sighing softly, he kisses Namjoon one last time. Namjoon feels his heart rate calm down, kissing him back.
"I love you," Seokjin says against his lips, he can hear Namjoon whine slightly, looking up to see two fluffy ears now poking up from the top of his head. Seokjin smiles a little, looking at how cute Namjoon looks. Seokjin stands up, Namjoon's yellow eyes following his every move."Well, I'll be in the next room, let me know if you need anything"
Seokjin leaves the room, as Namjoon bares his teeth at him but whines when he shuts the door. The full moon illuminates the sky, Seokjin watches as clouds shift in front of them. It was such a beautiful sight, he knew Namjoon would've loved to see it. Seokjin could hear Namjoon groaning and growling next door, this was the hardest part, hearing the transformation, sounded painful. Seokjin lay in their bed, attempting to block out the sound by reading a book.
