"Please! All I ask is that you come, who knows, you might enjoy it!" Jimin says to Seokjin, on his knees.
"I know I won't enjoy it" Seokjin continues to write out his lyrics.
"But you won't know that until you try it" Jimin protests.
"Jimin, we've done this before. It's embarrassing for me" Seokjin looks at the younger.
"But Jungkook and Taehyung will be there too"
"Yeah, that makes it so much better. They can learn a choreography in like five minutes" Seokjin tells him, now feeling frustrated.
"I just want my first class to go well, nobody will judge you. If you come I'll be forever in your debt" Jimin looks at him with his puppy eyes, now leaning close to Seokjin.
"Fine. You owe me big time. This better be the most enlightening experience of my life"
***********
"Please just one session is all I'm asking!" Hoseok begs Namjoon.
"You know that I'm a bad dancer"
"That's why you should come! I just want the class to look more full. I even convinced Yoongi to come!"
"How did you pull that?"
"Through absolute pure annoyance," Yoongi replies from the other side of the studio.
"It's also because Jimin will also be teaching the class and somebody has a crush on him"
"Shut up," Yoongi says turning away from them.
"Please!? Namjoon, you know I wouldn't ask if I didn't need help!" Hoseok says, hands together attempting to beg Namjoon.
"Fine. But I don't want to be doing a lot"
"Same here!" Yoongi says from the other side.
"It's a deal! Thank you so much!"
**************
Namjoon was standing awkwardly by the dance studio door. He thought if he was close enough to the door he could sneak out halfway through the dancing session and come back when it was over. Yoongi walked over toward him.
"Going to do a runner?"
"I'm thinking about it" Namjoon sighs, "I just hate dancing"
"So do I, but we did promise Hoseok. Plus look at Jimin, he's so cute"
Yoongi turns his head to Jimin who's busy talking with three other males.
"How do you think dancing will impress him? Are you going to do a mating dance?"
Yoongi punched Namjoons arm.
"No! I'm just going to try to look hot when I do dance"
"So a mating dance"
"Not a mating dance!" Yoongi glares at him, and he puts his hands up in surrender.
"All right everybody! Gather around!" Hoseok announces, standing next to Jimin.
"Today we're going to dance to Miroh by Stray Kids, first Jimin and I will demonstrate it, then we will go step by step. Okay?"
Namjoon watches the way both Hoseok and Jimin's bodies move like fluid. How the hell was he supposed to do that?
"All right! Let's go step by step!" Jimin says cheerfully. Both Seokjin and Namjoon struggled, both of them couldn't quite get their rhythm. At one point Namjoon fell over, turning red when everyone looked at him. His entire body was in pain, Seokjin also could feel his body screaming at him to stop. The pair hated every single minute of this.
"Wow, guys! You did awesome! Now, we're going to do something different. We are going to do some basic partner dancing"
Both Namjoon and Seokjin internally groaned, wanting nothing more than for this to be over. Yoongi was doing his best to not lie down on the floor, as he wanted the attention of Jimin. Yoongi also just wanted to drop to the ground and lay there motionless forever.
"Jungkook and Taehyung you two will go together," Jimin tells them, as the two boys cheer happily. Jimin and Hoseok pair off people, leaving only Namjoon, Seokjin, and Yoongi.
"Ah! Namjoon? I've heard good things about your music production." Jimin says, holding out a hand to shake, "I have the perfect partner for you!"
"Jin? Your partner is Namjoon" Jimin holds the hand of a male shorter than Namjoon.
"It's because we're both bad at dancing isn't it?" Seokjin deadpans, Namjoon would be offended but he was right, after his fall he was by far the worst out of the entire group.
"No way, just...you guys are built differently that's all," Hoseok says with a grin, making Namjoon and Seokjin hold hands.
Namjoon looks up at Seokjin, who's a little bit sweaty and red but he looks adorable.
"Hi," Seokjin greets.
"Hello. I'm Namjoon" Namjoon mentally hits himself on the head.
"I know, I'm Seokjin. I'd shake your hand, but it seems we skipped a few bases"
Namjoon laughs, it wasn't a funny joke but the laugh that comes out from Seokjin was.
"All right! Let's begin! Follow our steps!" Hoseok says from the front. Namjoon notices that Yoongi is paired with Jimin, his entire face pink and his head toward the floor as he held Jimin at his waist.
"Ow, stop standing on my foot!" Seokjin whines as he holds up the foot Namjoon stomps.
"I'm sorry!" Namjoon apologises before stomping on Seokjin's other foot.
"Jimin didn't tell me I'd be losing my feet during this" Seokjin says jokingly.
"I'm really sorry, I'm a terrible dancer. I blame Hoseok, he told me I wouldn't have to do much" Namjoon scoffs slightly, doing his best to not stand on Seokjin's feet.
"Don't worry about it, I'm just as bad. Probably worse" Seokjin smiles, Namjoon shows off his dimples, feeling better that he wasn't the only person suffering.
"I'm the one who fell over"
"That was pretty funny" Seokjin chuckles, as they both sway together.
"I'm glad my pain amuses you"
The pair somehow found their rhythm, dancing together with no issue. The two began to enjoy their dynamic, finding it easier to dance with the other.
"Alright, that's a wrap! If you liked this class don't hesitate to come back next week!" Hoseok announces, bowing at all the classmates leaving the room. Seokjin and Namjoon let go of each other slowly.
"It was nice dancing with you, even if you kept stepping on my feet" Seokjin grins, Namjoon couldn't help but smile back.
"Should've moved your feet faster"
"Unbelievable" Seokjin laughs whacking his arm.
"Jin! Look what I can do!" A boy screamed at him as he did a flip.
"Ah, good job Kookie!" Seokjin says he waves to Namjoon before he walks over to his friends. Namjoon smiles at Seokjin, walking toward his own bag and packing up.
"So, how did I do!?" Hoseok asks Namjoon.
"You did really well, despite falling over and my whole body wanting to give out, I had fun," Namjoon tells him.
"Is that because you were vibing with Seokjin?" Hoseok wiggles his eyebrows.
"What do you mean?" Namjoon asks, putting his head down to finish packing his bag.
"I saw the connection," Hoseok says, "you two looked really cute together"
"I'm sure this is the last time I ever see him," Namjoon says, he hears feet shuffling behind him.
"Hey, Hoseok right? I really enjoyed the session, thank you" Seokjin said from behind Namjoon.
"Ah, no worries! I think you did an amazing job today!"
"Not really-"
"-uh uh, we don't put ourselves down. You worked hard and it showed." Hoseok pats Seokjin's shoulder, "I'm going to go say goodbye to Jimin"
Seokjin fiddles with his shirt, clearing his throat to get Namjoon's attention. Namjoon turns around, putting his bag on his back.
"H-hey" Seokjin stutters, face slightly pink.
"What's making you so nervous? My hands were literally on your waist" Namjoon smirks, feeling slightly cocky. Seokjin's face turns even more pink.
"Funny...I just wanted to ask you something"
Seokjin doesn't say anything, just staring at Namjoon.
"Are you going to ask or keep staring?"
"Did you want to...go to dinner with me?" Seokjin asks, eyes not looking at Namjoon.
"Yes," Namjoon says without any thought. Seokjin looks at him, eyes sparkling.
"Really?"
"Yes. You're cute"
"I know" Seokjin grins, "did you want to go now?"
"I would love to, I'm really sick of our friends staring at us" Namjoon looks straight at the group standing a few steps away. Seokjin turned around to see everybody staring at them.
Hoseok was grinning.
"And Namjoon said he didn't want to come"
Namjoon flipped him off, taking Seokjin by his arm and walking out, listening to the screams of torment from their friends. Who knew a stupid dance lesson could end so well?
