Namjoon knew Seokjin was annoyed with him, he felt even more annoyed with himself. He didn't even know what he was thinking. The more he thought about it, the funnier he thought it was, a story he would tell their grandchildren no doubt. But at the moment, the elder was pacing back and forth in their living room, mumbling to himself and hands in his hair.
"I just can't believe you asked me that question while you were taking a dump!" Seokjin exclaims at Namjoon suddenly. Namjoon held his head down, feeling embarrassed.
"I know...I don't know what I was thinking"
"I mean who even thinks about that when they're taking a shit," the elder says to himself.
"I'm sorry...it was just in the moment" Namjoon whispers, loud enough for Seokjin to hear.
"Damnit Joonie, how does asking me to marry you happen in the moment when you're sitting on a toilet?"
They both fall silent, neither one looking each other in the eye. Yes, Namjoon, the genius, asked the love of his life to marry him whilst he was on the toilet. In his defense, Seokjin had just woken up and looked adorable. He didn't care that the other had some sleep in his eyes or that his hair was messy and his face a little bit chubby as he greeted Namjoon to brush his teeth. Namjoon knew that was the person he wanted to wake up to every morning hence why he asked.
Seokjin turns to look at Namjoon, shaking his head and sighing.
"Did you at least mean it?" He asks the other quietly, Namjoon stands up from the couch.
"Would you have said yes?"
"You can't answer a question with a question, plus I asked you first," Seokjin says with folded arms. Stubborn, is another cute trait about him.
"Yes, I meant it" Namjoon murmured, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck, "if I asked you properly...would you say yes?"
Seokjin doesn't reply, but he begins to pace once again. Namjoon watches the other silently, feeling his heart beating out of his chest, and swallowing hard.
"If you asked me differently...yes"
Namjoon's eyes lit up.
"You're saying you would!?"
"I mean maybe...this isn't something we've discussed before," Seokjin tells him, "I love you and I want to be with you, but this is a decision I don't want to make on a whim"
"That's understandable," Namjoon says with the largest grin, making Seokjin roll his eyes playfully.
"You're too cute when you are excited" Seokjin giggles, poking his nose.

Hoseok (unsurprisingly) was on the floor wheezing, laughing so hard he had to clutch his sides. Namjoon made the grave mistake of confiding with his best friends.
"Stop! I can't breathe!" The elder laughed, looking up at Namjoon and falling into yet another fit of laughter. Namjoon rolled his eyes, looking up to see Yoongi chuckling quietly on the seat across from him as he was typing on his phone.
"I mean come on Joon, on the toilet!"
"No need to keep saying it!" Namjoon turned pink, putting his face in his hands. He knew that he would regret telling them.
"Well, what did he say anyway?" Yoongi asks, now walking past Namjoon to make coffee.
"Well, he said if I ask in the right circumstance...he might say yes"
Hoseok stops laughing and stares at Namjoon with his mouth open.
"You're kidding! This is fantastic! Now you can plan the perfect proposal!"
"That is the plan, however, I have zero ideas. All I know is that I want to ask him on his birthday, that way he won't suspect it" Namjoon tells the two who nod, suddenly The apartment door is slammed open with the sounds of laughter.
"The toilet!" Jungkook laughs and points at Namjoon. Great, now these three idiots knew and Namjoon knew exactly who told them.
"Yoongi!" Namjoon whines, Yoongi shrugs with a smirk now sitting back down across from him.
"Marry me Jin!" Taehyung screams before making a loud and exaggerated farting sound making Jimin and Jungkook roar into laughter. Namjoon rolls his eyes as they continue to joke and laugh, making themselves comfortable in his apartment.
"All jokes aside, we're glad you guys are getting married," Jungkook says, still wiping tears from his eyes.
"I mean...he didn't technically say yes"
"Wait what?"
"I proposed but he didn't say yes, he said under different circumstances. In hindsight, I can understand wanting a better proposal, which he deserves" Namjoon explains to the three.
