[Act 8 - Soren Chandler - Age 18]

The party was now at full blast and as the night went deeper, more and more people were getting drunker by the second. Soren was nowhere to be found and Mikhail was in the kitchen with Allistair as they were done drinking for the night.

There was no good outcome in drinking with a bunch of teenagers. They only came here since Soren invited them and practically begged them.

"Well, that was fun," Kael laughed as he leaned on the counter while drinking bottled water he got from the fridge. Was it stealing? It wasn't right? Maybe he'll pay it back when he gets the chance in the future but he really needed it since his throat was as dry as the dessert.

"Should we go home? It's almost eleven," Allistair commented as he was beside Mikhail.

"Hmmm... Should we bring Soren home? You know he's kind of reckless sometimes."

"He's an adult already. He should be well on his own." With his lips downturned, Kael lightly smacked Ali's shoulder before grumbling. "He's still eighteen..."

"Eighteen is an adult."

"I know, but you also know he can be a little immature sometimes."

"That's his problem. He needs to face the world prepared like us or he'll end up miserable."

"You sound like an old man, mister."

Allistair shook his head before looking somewhere else. Compared to the population of the attendees in the early hours of the party, it was now cut in half as some went home already after getting their share of liquor while some just didn't like to be out too late in the evening. The majority of the remainder were in the garden drinking their hearts out and passing in every corner.

The kitchen was empty by the time the two came here and they decided this was the best spot to hang out 'til they go home. They were just chilling their tipiness out. Well, only Kael since he was still quite unresponsible when it came to parties while Allistair was the more mature one and the perfectly sober one out of the two.

"I kind of missed parties like this when we were in high school, you know?" Kael commented as his dizzy head was making his vision a little unusual. He might've drunk a little too much for comfort.

"We only attended two parties in our entire high school, Kael," Ali reminded him but that only made the young master chuckle. He might just sleep for a few minutes.

Leaning his head on Allistair's shoulder, he sighed as he closed his eyes.

"Two parties could still make you miss a lot of things. I miss our friends."

"Your friends," Allistair commented because there was no way he was friends with anyone back then. He was a little older than them and he didn't feel like hanging out with any of their classmates. He was only able to interact with them since Mikhail was literally a social butterfly who made friends with anyone he liked.

"They're your friends too! You even play with the guys like Jon and Dane when I wouldn't play computer games with you," he laughed because he remembered the time Allistair got access to the internet again, he was like an addict that played every day with Kael but of course, the young master couldn't keep up with his love for games so whenever he didn't play with Ali, the man plays with his other friends.

"I just play with them since they're good."

"Still your friends."

"Whatever."

The atmosphere between the two was doused in comfortable silence despite the music blaring in the background. There were never any major awkward moments between the two. Kael and Ali had known each other for the past nine years and it was enough to build a solid bond between them that others would never understand.
