It was a tiring day. The journalist, Miles, had gone home after a quick briefing of what he needs to do in the upcoming mission.

Mikhail wanted to sleep for a bit since he had slept in late at early in the morning earlier and felt like he lacks more of it. He got in his room and first removed the watch he was wearing. Kael placed it on the nightstand before undoing all the buttons of his shirt.

He was about to unbutton the last one when all of a sudden, knocks echoed from his door and he already knew who it was just by the intensity of the knocks. Was that even a thing to begin with? Can you identify someone based on the way they knock?

Kael didn't know but for him, it was surely a thing.

Sighing, he looked at his face in the vanity mirror before walking to the door and opening it. Once he saw the person behind it, Kael tilted his head like a little curious bird.

"What do you want?" He asked and Soren, who was still in his morning clothes leaned on the doorframe while looking at him with a you-should-already-know expression on his face. Not wanting to acknowledge that, Mikhail shrugged his shoulders and walked back inside his room, not bothering that Soren also went inside and looked around as if it was his first time being inside the place.

He owned this building. Of course, he would have been here thousands of times already but he looked like a little child strolling through an amusement park and looking at all the rides that were present.

The man was obviously very entertained with it.

"Why don't you move into my room? It's big enough for the both of us," he spoke and it broke the silence between them. Soren then stood behind Mikhail as they both faced the mirror. Their memories flashing back to different times as they watched each other on the reflection.

Kael's mind was filled with contemplation about what his life is going on through right now. As his eyes gazed over Soren's, his mind went back to when they used to live in the same mansion and would do this every day. Soren would watch him get ready for bed and even offer to do his skincare for him. They all did it while looking at each other in the mirror.

However, it seemed like Soren's thoughts were different that time.

Even now. Mikhail could see what was running through the man's minds as his hands slowly wrapped around his waist. Soren's fingers fumbled through the shirt he wore and since the last button wasn't done yet, the man took it upon himself to finish what Kael hadn't.

"I don't see the need for us to share a room," Kael answered as Soren's lips made themselves comfortable on his neck and his nose burying on his skin. The young master tilted his head to the side to give him more access.

"We're engaged. I'm going to marry you soon. What's there not to need?" Soren's hands then went to Mikhail's pecs and he bit the man's jaw. This garnered him a reaction as Mikhail made a sound of pleasure.

Soren looked at their reflection once more and he almost scoffed at how good it looked. Right. This is what he had been wanting all these years. This is the manifestation of his fantasies and the reality that he now had.

Mikhail was his and no one else could stop that.

His heart was beating so loud just by looking at Mikhail's face in the reflection.

Thump... Thump...

All those years of pretending and just wanting from afar have now all come to a definite end. Sure, it might still be the start of a new leaf in their relationship but Soren was already satisfied this much. He had come so far in life just so he could prove that he was worthy for Mikhail.
