[Act 9 - Soren Chandler - Age 18]

The three had finally arrived in the mansion and the first one to go inside was Soren and Mikhail. "You're not going inside?" Kael asked as he turned to Allistair while Soren just walked off without looking back.

"I have to go to the organization," the man spoke as he laid his head on the steering wheel while looking at Mikhail who was standing right outside the car door.

"Right now?" Nodding his head, Allistair looked into Kael's eyes. The gray pair of orbs were calming his mind and body. "Yup. The boss called for me. He said I have to be there with your mom."

"How long will you be gone for?" Kael asked as he also leaned in the opened window.

"Two weeks at most."

"I see... I was hoping we could spend our summer break together with Soren."

"I know. But I have no choice. I'll get to see you on campus though, right?"

Chuckling, the young master reached his hand out to Allistair and ruffled the man's hair. Ali didn't even fight it off and he just allowed Kael to do what he wanted. As a matter of fact, Allistair leaned his head on to the touch because he knew he wouldn't be able to have any of it for the next weeks.

"You already miss me?" Ali didn't bother responding verbally but instead nodded his head.

That made Kael laugh and they said their quick goodbyes to each other as the man had to catch his flight. The young master watched as Allistair disappeared after passing through the gate they just went through. He sighed as he turned his head to the mansion and he saw Soren looking at him with a stoic expression on his face while leaning on the doorway.

"What are you doing? Get inside," Kael ordered as he, too, walked to the mansion.

Once he reached Soren, the latter used his free hand to pull Kael's neck and together, they walked inside. The butlers and maids weren't there yet since it looks like Dimitri gave them a day off with Soren being in the hospital and all. They didn't' know the young man insisted he should go home earlier than what was recommended.

It was quiet. Totally unusual compared to when there were people around. It was even more quiet than when Soren was alone because even though Kael and Ali were in another state, he still had company here with the butlers and maids.

The two climbed up to Soren's room on the second floor with Mikhail placing his hand on Soren's back assisting him if ever something happens.

When they reached his room, Kael took the chance of opening it and they both went inside.

The mess Soren made when he was preparing for the party was still there. His clothes were on one corner of his bed piled up since he had been finding a good outfit for the occasion. The maids weren't granted access in their rooms unless they wanted it to be cleaned so with Soren not being there, the mess stayed as usual.

Soren sat on his bed and he sighed because he felt tired while Kael stood in front of him assessing what the man wanted.

"What do you need? Should I get you some water?" He asked but Soren shook his head. He turned his head to the side as if he was trying to avoid looking into Mikhail's eyes and seeing the action, it made Mikhail feel a little bad because it really did look like Soren was in so much pain.

"I'll get you some pain medication-" The young master was about to turn his back on Soren to get some meds but the latter stopped him midway. Kael looked at Soren and then to his hand that was being held by the young man.
