'I think I'm going to puke...' Miles thought as he could feel his stomach not grumbling about hunger anymore but something else.
He ate the portion that he ordered earlier but to his demise and just as he expected, it was too much. The steak alone was enough to fill him completely but he still had the beverage and other food.
Regardless, he was extremely thankful.
Even though he struggled to finish the food, he didn't complain because it was so good. Maybe that's the reason why he was about to have a stomachache now. Miles couldn't get enough of the delicious food served on the table.
It was ten times better than the regular delivery he ate and just one bite of the steak made his entire mind blow. It was so good that his body's call of being full was ignored because he kept on eating and now he was regretting his decision.
He didn't know but it could be attributed because he grew up poor.
Miles didn't like leaving food behind because he felt like it would be such a waste not to eat it. He often heard of theories about how people who grew up in poverty do not like leaving food behind and it seemed like it was true.
His stomach was hurting, that's for sure but he wouldn't complain about it because that was one of the best lunches he ever had in his life.
For the first time, he was thankful for Soren because the man paid for the entire bill that would consist of five months of Miles' paychecks.
He didn't notice it at first but Miles realized it now.
He was having a lot of his first times in life with the two.
It was his first time working with a world-class actor which is Soren.
It was his first time riding a luxury car, touching a luxury watch, and going inside a luxury penthouse. For the first time, he was tasting what luxury is.
It was also his first time seeing the type of relationship that he may or may not want.
Shaking the thoughts off, he returned to reality now, and walking actually helped him feel a lot better. They were inside the mall and it wasn't that crowded but there were a lot of people.
Soren was now wearing his disguise while Mikhail was bare-faced walking straight ahead and not minding the stares he got from the people. Of course, Soren was still acting like a rabid dog that would bite anyone who ever laid their eyes on Kael but his disguise was preventing him from doing so.
Not just that, Miles noticed that by the time they arrived here, the crowd somehow thickened and he had a clue why.
There were secret guards roaming the place. The men in black who greeted them earlier in the lobby were now dressed as normal citizens walking around while guarding them... or the two, at the very least. It didn't matter what happened to Miles since he wasn't of importance anyway.
Since they were in the mall, the first thing that the couple did was look for stores they were interested in. Mikhail was the more eager one of the two as he visited every clothing shop that piqued his interest. He also bought a lot of things too.
Soren was the one carrying the bags while the young master continued to pile them more and more.
From one clothing store to another, Soren's hands and arms were getting fuller by the minute and if Mikhail didn't stop, he'd rather end up buying the entire mall for himself.
Miles was just silent as he followed them around. He looked at a few things but nothing really interested him. Many of the items sold were either too expensive or not to his liking.
