The car ride was silent. Mikhail sat on the passenger's seat and, as always, was on his phone tapping on the screen and messaging somebody. Soren was the one driving and his eyes were straight on the road while Miles was on the backseat shifting at the uncomfortable silence.

Uncomfortable because Soren was here again.

The short time he spoke with Mikhail earlier was the best time he had ever talked to someone. Mikhail was just full of surprises and each time Miles discovered one after another, he could not contain his admiration and amazement at them. He wanted to talk more with the young master because he was just so interesting.

But of course, he couldn't freely do so when Soren was here. Like a guard dog that would bite anyone who touched its owner, Soren was a menace.

If they were in a fairytale, Mikhail would be the princess locked in a tower while Soren would be the dragon that imprisoned him.

The silence went on for a few more minutes until Soren broke it once they were at a red light. The traffic was pretty high but manageable and besides, Miles was enjoying the ride as much as he could because there were possibly no other chances he could ride luxury cars like the one that Soren was driving.

"Kael?"

"Hmm?" The young master responded without taking his eyes off the screen of his phone. This annoyed Soren as he made a clicking noise with his tongue and Miles had to quietly switch his gaze back and forth between the two.

'Are they gonna fight?' He asked himself.

But that doesn't seem like to be the point when Soren's lips downturned.

"Can you give me a gum? It's in the glove compartment," he pleaded and Mikhail looked at him for a second and to the compartment before going back on his phone.

"I see you have hands. Use it."

Surprised by the response, Miles made an awkward face as he wanted to hide because it seemed like Soren wanted to be treated like a baby but the one he wanted to treat him like that was ignoring him and even telling him off.

"But I can't. It's only twenty seconds until the light turns green. I won't have enough time to unwrap it and all." Soren was practically begging at this point and he even leaned to the steering wheel and laid his head there while looking at Kael with puppy-like eyes.

Sighing, Mikhail turned his screen off and glared at Soren who, in return, smiled sheepishly.

The former took the pack of gums in the glove compartment and took one piece of it before handing it to Soren. The awkwardness Miles felt became double when Soren looked at the piece of gum in Kael's hand and then back to the man without doing anything else.

"Really?" Kael asked in a disappointed tone but the actor ignored it and nodded his head like a child.

Sighing, the young master unwrapped the foil around the gum and once it was done, he offered it to Soren who gladly opened his mouth to eat it.

He chuckled as his hands never left the wheel while chewing on the mint gum.

"Pretend you never saw that, Miles," Kael called to him, and Miles flinched when his name was mentioned. He quickly nodded his head multiple times as if promising he would do so even though it was clear as daylight that he wouldn't forget seeing the sight of the indomitable Soren Chandler acting like a baby in front of his lover.

His hands were itching to take a picture of them and write an article about it but the fear of his entire life getting ruined by Soren was greater than his desires so he kept his mouth shut and looked out the window.
