The sun was just beginning to rise as Rebecca approached the New Zoo. She looked up at the stone archways as she smiled, still in disbelief that her dream project was in the process of becoming a reality.
"I still can't believe it" thought Rebecca as she went through the large stack of keys, quickly finding the one which opened the front gates as she smiled, walking through as she entered the Main Hallway.
"I never thought we would get this opportunity" mused Rebecca as she remembered her call with the Landlord only days before. "I don't know exactly what plans they have but we...I still couldn't have this opportunity without them."
Despite knowing that she had the collaboration of Charlotte and Elizabeth, Rebecca still felt uneasy about revealing this to them. She began to wonder if bringing them into this was the right thing to do.
"Charlotte definitely seems like a worthwhile addition. Her plan to diversify the different animals we have is pretty spot on" began Rebecca, thinking for a moment before continuing "She also seems like she's going out of her way to impress me. She's definitely obedient which is something I need to maintain. Can't have her becoming insubordinate" Her thoughts then came to Elizabeth, which caused her expression to shift to annoyance and frustration.
"Elizabeth, however, is a loose cannon. If what Charlotte told me about the new seal is to be believed. I need to keep an eye on her, I need to curb that rebellious behaviour as I can only see it being detrimental down the line" thought Rebecca as she wondered how she could deal with this.
"This is important. Since Elizabeth and Charlotte are best friends, they could plot something against me. Elizabeth might be able to turn Charlotte against me if I don't maintain her obedience either through adoration...or fear" finished Rebecca as she continued to consider how she could resolve this problem.
"But for now...might as well admire the foundations of my masterpiece" thought Rebecca. As she dismissed the thought for the time being, she looked around, noticing many of the enclosures were empty.
"Not surprising" thought Rebecca as she began to imagine just how good it would be once these enclosures were filled. "We have only just started after all" she mumbled as she eventually settled on one of the enclosures which had been filled. She eyed the sign below the enclosure, recognising it as she smiled warmly, recalling she personally had made this addition to their developing Zoo.
"Morning Coconut" called out Rebecca as she smiled, noticing she had gotten the gorilla's attention. She smiled as he moved further forward, eying her. Rebecca noticed his darkened eyes as her smile broke wider, content that there was no human intellect within.
She felt downwards, feeling the camera around her neck as she smiled. She recalled how her father had given her this camera, smiling warmly as she remembered the days they used to take pictures together. Rebecca had always enjoyed photography, always wanting to capture that perfect moment.
"Now...hold that pose" she mumbled as she observed Coconut through the photographic lens. She took a picture, smiling as she saw the developing picture exit. She waved it in the air for a moment as she noticed the full picture.
"Perfect" said Rebecca as she smiled, storing the picture for safekeeping as she continued to watch over Coconut, content to just spend a moment here before needing to move on.
She recalled Coconut's previous form as Jacob and the security cameras he had provided. Since his transformation, the cameras still needed to be set up. Rebecca had currently stored them in a backroom of the currently empty Reptile House.
