"And that's a wrap" muttered Rebecca, finally closing the enclosure door. She wiped the sweat from her brow as she looked annoyingly at Chris who strutted his feathers. Rebecca felt a sense of building frustration as she felt like he was taunting her.

"Makes you wonder if he would have been like..." thought Rebecca, feeling her head in the clouds for a moment. "No, don't go there" mumbled Rebecca, shaking her head as she tried to suppress the feelings bottled up within her.

"Remember why you're here, concentrate" mumbled Rebecca to herself as she managed to push her feelings to one side. "There's no point focusing on what-ifs anyway," said Rebecca quietly as she distracted herself, recalling why she was here today.

The Zoo had received a sizable donation from a wealthy family to build an Aviary expansion for the Zoo in their name. They had planned for the Aviary expansion to be within the Main Hallway which required demolishing Chris's old enclosure for the space. She had also planned for the old seal enclosure to be demolished; given that Noah's transformation into an elephant seal made it redundant.

"Still don't know why that happened," thought Rebecca, her thoughts focusing on Noah. She would need to organise for the seals to be moved at some point. She shook her head as she looked back towards Chris. He seemed to be staring intently at her as Rebecca couldn't help but blush.

This brought her mind back to why she was here today. Before development for the Aviary could begin, Rebecca needed to relocate Chris. Neither Elizabeth nor Charlotte seemed enthusiastic to assist, which she didn't mind. She had taken a liking to Chris and was content to have him to herself.

"He was rather...handsome," thought Rebecca as she found her emotions threatening to overwhelm her. Rebecca forced herself to keep her composure, knowing her magic could have unintended side effects. She sat down for a moment, trying to calm herself.

The task was surprisingly, painstakingly difficult. Chris had attacked her when she had ignored his courting and have resisted. Although, she had come to expect that from a cornered animal. She was still concerned by the amount of resistance he gave.

"Could he...could he be regaining his memories?" thought Rebecca, feeling her blood run cold for a brief moment. "That shouldn't be possible, should it?" questioned Rebecca. She felt herself deep in thought, wondering if anything could be amiss.

"Then again, why didn't he run?" thought Rebecca as she calmed herself. "I guess I just ruffled his feathers," said Rebecca, chuckling at the thought. Her cheeks blushed once more, her emotions clouding her judgement as she turned back towards the storage enclosure Chris was currently in.

It was intended as a temporary storage enclosure if they ever needed to move animals around the Zoo. Rebecca felt thankful that her foresight paid off in this regard. She watched Chris moving across the short grass towards his nest. He began to settle down in it as Rebecca continued to watch him, her head in the clouds.

"I just wish he didn't destroy the coop, however," thought Rebecca. Minor irritation crossed her mind as she recalled trying to capture Chris to move him. The end result meant the coop was no longer fit for purpose and would be scrapped when the Aviary was built.

"At least he shouldn't injure himself this time," said Rebecca, recalling an incident in which Chris had gotten his claw caught within the wiring of his old enclosure and injured himself. Rebecca had been rather concerned for him that day. She remembered the others staring at her oddly, Elizabeth especially so.

"Well that hypocrite can mind her own business" grumbled Rebecca as she faintly recalled why she was here today. She took a glance at a nearby clock.

"I've still got time," said Rebecca as she continued to look over at Chris. She was almost mesmerised as he noticed the company. He revealed his feathers in response, Rebecca's mouth widening as she admired the majesticness of them.

Rebecca was currently focused on Chris as a green glow began to form nearby. It stayed still for a moment, flashing as it focused on Rebecca. It was trying to encourage changes within her, playing on Rebecca's own magic to act as fuel for its plan.

Rebecca began to feel slightly uneasy as she continued to admire Chris. Rebecca's attraction towards him was beginning to come to the surface as her breathing became heavier. She began to feel increasingly uneasy as she watched Chris, feeling like she wanted to be his. Her eyes began to close as sensations occurred from within.

She wanted...no needed to be his!

"Wait...what's going on?!" exclaimed Rebecca, opening her eyes as the sensations began to disappear from within her. She looked around, wondering what could have caused the strange feeling as she calmed herself.

Unknown to Rebecca, the green glow had disappeared. This ultimately left Rebecca with more questions than answers regarding what she had just experienced.

"Could...could the magic be turning against us?" questioned Rebecca. She shook her head, figuring it should be impossible.

Shouldn't it?

"The magic shouldn't be able to affect us," said Rebecca. She looked around as she was trying to find any potential cause.

"Could something be causing it to act up? Could the land be causing interference?" wondered Rebecca. The possible consequences of where she had chosen to develop the Zoo hadn't occurred to her. However, she did recall sensing a strong magical concentration coming from this location.

"That's why I picked this place...but why now is it acting out against us?" considered Rebecca.

This still didn't make any sense, the Zoo's magic wasn't supposed to operate like this!

"It could always be something else, but what?" said Rebecca, recalling how the Zoo's magic had acted out the night that those Vandals had broken into the Zoo. "This might be going beyond my capabilities to handle" continued Rebecca as she felt terrified at the possibility of someone else being in control.

The irony was not lost on Rebecca that this terror was eerily similar to what she had previously enjoyed inflicting onto others.

"I suppose I should focus on my current issue," thought Rebecca, forcing herself to calm down. She recalled that there was to be another intern at the Zoo today. While Rebecca did like having Chris to herself, she knew he needed a mate.

"This intern will be that new mate," said Rebecca confidently. She inwardly hoped that this would resolve her unresolved tension regarding Chris. She also figured it would be useful to have a few more birds to occupy the Aviary expansion when it was finished.

Rebecca forced herself to look away from Chris who opened his feathers, trying to lure her back. She felt disappointed having to resist looking away as she forcefully changed her focus to her upcoming task.

"Don't worry Chris, I have big plans for you?" said Rebecca. She wandered away as the peacock withdrew his feathers, wandering over to his feeder. He fed for a moment before returning to his nest.

Shortly After:

Megan wandered under the archways into the New Zoo. She felt her grey hair which was tied back into two braids. Her grey cardigan covered her arms and hid a small orange shirt underneath. Her trousers were a nice shade of black and white shoes which reflected the sunlight coming from above.

"It'll be great to get involved here," said Megan. Her love of animals was shining through as her grey eyes stared in wonder at the many enclosures she could see.

She focused on the giraffe, noticing it seemed quite lonely. It was munching leaves absentmindedly as Megan settled around its enclosure.

"Erica would love this" thought Megan as her smile grew wider. As Erica's best friend, Megan was very aware of her love for giraffes.

"I remember her saying she has also been accepted for a position here" mumbled Megan as a thought came to her mind. "Maybe I can put in a good word for her," thought Megan as she decided on a plan. She smiled reassuringly, feeling it couldn't possibly be a bad thing.

"I'm sure she'd appreciate it," thought Megan as she thought back to her friend. Erica never failed to put a smile on Megan's face. "She's always able to find a silver lining...even in the worst of situations. I can tell Marie appreciates it too, especially if what she says about her parents is true" continued Megan as she became further mesmerised by the Giraffe, blissfully ignorant to her surroundings and enjoying a moment of peace to herself.

Rebecca turned past a corner, noticing the intern that she recalled was named Megan.

"Ok, time to resolve my little dilemma," thought Rebecca as she approached Megan. She stood beside her as she eyed Jason alongside Megan.

"I have to admit...he makes a good giraffe," admitted Rebecca. Despite her annoyance with Elizabeth for disobeying her, the result was still rather spectacular.

Megan noticed Rebecca at her side as she turned to face her. She noticed the workers uniform and long black hair going down to her waist.

"I guess this is my interviewer?" thought Megan as Rebecca held out her hand.

"Welcome Megan," said Rebecca, "I take it you're here for the intern position".

"YES!" said Megan with considerable enthusiasm. Rebecca took a second to react as the sudden noise had caught her off guard.
"Anything you'd like to say before we begin?" asked Rebecca, having noticed Megan staring intently at the giraffes.

Megan felt a thought immediately cross her mind.

"I have this friend named Erica who'll be interning. She absolutely loves giraffes. Would it be possible for her to work with them during her internship?" asked Megan.

Rebecca considered this silently for a moment. Megan became slightly nervous, hoping she hadn't messed up any chance for her friend.

"That can be arranged," said Rebecca as she began to walk away. She motioned for Megan to follow. Megan inwardly breathed relief, glad she had done a favour for her friend.

"Well...time to focus on my interview," thought Megan as she quickened her pace to catch up with Rebecca.

"Before I properly begin the interview, I need to feed our new tiger" explained Rebecca as Megan nodded, not wanting to give a bad impression as the pair continued to walk across the Main Hallway.

Eventually, they reached the tiger enclosure as Rebecca left Megan for a minute to feed her.

"Wait here for a moment," said Rebecca firmly as Megan nodded. She opted to stare into the enclosure as she watched Rebecca approaching the resident within.

"The tiger seems rather calm," thought Megan, watching as Rebecca placed the meat at the feet of the tiger. The tiger ate the meat calmly as it looked at Rebecca. The pair seemed familiar with each other as Rebecca smiled, stroking the tiger as one would a cat.

"Amazing," thought Megan, her eyes wide as she saw Rebecca heading for the exit.

"That was so cool," said Megan, the enthusiasm clear in her voice as Rebecca smiled back at her.

"Now onto your assignment" stated Rebecca as she began to walk away. Megan followed her as she felt a sense of confusion.

"Wha...assignment?" wondered Megan out loud. "Does this mean I've got the job?" asked Megan.

"Depends on how well you do on the assignment" replied Rebecca as she continued to walk in silence. Megan walked alongside her as she felt minorly nervous at what her assignment could be.

Eventually, they arrived at the temporary Peacock enclosure. As they approached it, Rebecca motioned for Megan to come forward. Megan did so, not wanting to stifle her chances at getting a job at the Zoo.

"Your assignment is to care for the peacock inside," said Rebecca. "His name is Chris and I'm sure you'll both enjoy each other." "Your first task is to become familiar with Chris and his current enclosure so you'll need to go inside" finished Rebecca as she looked at Megan intently.

"I understand," said Megan, nodding as Rebecca led her to the door into the enclosure. Rebecca opened and Megan walked towards the door, removing her cardigan and bag as she did so.

"Can you hold onto these for me?" asked Megan nicely as Rebecca nodded in response.

Megan handed her belongings to Rebecca for safekeeping as she entered the enclosure. As Megan walked inside, Rebecca closed the door and moved to the front of the enclosure.

"Don't worry, I'll be here to supervise if you need any assistance" said Rebecca, giving false reassurance as Megan looked at her. Megan smiled as she nodded.

"That'll be great," thought Megan, her excitement shining through as she looked around the enclosure for Chris. "I wonder if Chris ever gets lonely" wondered Megan, noticing that the enclosure was rather large for one single peacock.

Unknown to her, she would be helping with that issue in ways she couldn't possibly imagine.

Shortly afterwards, Megan found Chris lounging in his nest. Chris noticed his new guest as he unfurled his feathers to Megan. Her smile widened as the beautiful colours felt mesmerizing.

"Good to see you too Chris," said Megan, giggling softly as she felt a sensation coming over her. It focused on her rear as Megan continued to look amusingly at the peacock.

Unknown to Megan, the sensation was the emergence of her feathers. As Chris continued to show off his feathers, Megan began to feel strange. Her rear felt like it was stuffed, almost like a pillow as she motioned towards her trousers. She scratched and patted down around her rear, trying to discern what was there.

"What...what is this?" wondered Megan, intrigued as she felt something suddenly pushing against her trousers. Unknown to Megan, her rear was beginning to point out and was seemingly begging for release from the confinement of her trousers.

Chris watched Megan with great interest as he withdrew his feathers. He began to approach her as Megan walked back in response.

"Aah!" shouted Megan, tripping over in the enclosure as she fell onto her backside. Her developing nub finally broke free from her trousers as Megan looked up. Her mouth widened in fear as she saw her new development.

"Feathers?!" panicked Megan. Her developing plumage spread out against her will. They weren't as extravagant or large as Chris's but they were still rather beautiful. They were a mixture of grey and brown feathers and this caused Chris to become attracted to her. His instincts to mate kicked into overdrive as Chris gave Megan his undivided attention.

No matter what, he became insistent on having Megan as his mate.

Chris unfurled his feathers alongside Megan as she began to feel nervous. "Rebecca?" called out Megan, looking towards the outside of the enclosure as she saw Rebecca just standing there.

"What is she doing? why isn't she helping me?" thought Megan as she felt a sudden nip near her leg. "Get away from me!" shouted Megan, swatting at Chris. Chris however, was not deterred as he was determined to remove her trousers. Eventually, he got a good grip and pulled them down, throwing them off to the side as Megan tried in vain to cover herself with her shirt.

"Rebecca, let me out please!" shouted Megan, scrambling to her feet as she approached the door.

"And deprive Chris of his mate?" replied Rebecca, her tone malicious. However, upon closer inspection, there was a sense of unease hidden within.

"M..mate?" said Megan, feeling her tail nub pushing against her underwear. Her eyes went to pinpricks as she saw Chris staring at her. He unfurled his feathers once more. In contrast to earlier, this terrified Megan as she realised he was courting her.

"But I...I don't want to be your mate!" thought Megan as she heard a small rip as she looked down. Her underwear had snapped, unable to hold back against her developing tail nub which thickened out, changing proportions to fit the bird she was becoming.

As Rebecca watched the pair, she couldn't help but feel a sense of jealousy. She almost wished she was in the enclosure with Chris rather than Megan.

"No, no!" shouted Rebecca internally as she suppressed her conflicted feelings. She quickly dismissed the thought, focusing on Megan.

"I hope you take good care of him," thought Rebecca as she could tell from Megan's expression that the next change wasn't too far behind.

Megan let go of her shirt as she felt an itching at her tail nub. She scratched at her rear, which seemed to only cause the itch to worsen. She felt small feathers crop up, grey like her hair which quickly spread and expanded across her rear, as she continued to try to subside the itch.

"C'mon, let me out!" shouted Megan, continuing to fumble at the door with one hand as she continued to scratch with the other. Megan felt a sense of vertigo come over her as she shook her head, losing her grip on the door momentarily.

"Wait...was the doorknob always that high?" thought Megan as she looked down. The ground was now much closer than it had been only moments before. Her shirt, now several sizes too large, fell around her to the floor.

"Wait...I've shrunk?! panicked Megan as she saw her now too large shirt.

"SQUARK!" shouted Chris as Megan quickly looked up. She found herself face to face with Chris as she noticed the look in his eyes. Knowing what he intended to do caused Megan to feel fearful, especially now that there was no way out.

"Get away from me you freak!" screamed Megan. She scrambled away from him, using her arms to cover her breasts as her feathers bounced. This kept Chris's attention, seeing her as a peahen courting him which he then proceeded to return in kind.

Chris unfurled his feathers once again, the bright colours intending to court the developing peahen. This unlocked a developing instinct as Megan, despite her best efforts, couldn't help but be aroused.

"He's...rather handsome," thought Megan. She quickly realised what she had just imagined as she shook her head. Despite her resistance, the changes continued without mercy.

Megan's mouth gave an expression of twisted pleasure as she felt her vagina move towards her anus. She moaned in ecstasy as the pair began to merge, forming her new cloaca.

"Ohhhh" moaned Megan, watching Chris walk confidently towards her as she felt new instincts emerge.

"Looks like someone's enjoying themself" taunted Rebecca, trying to hide her jealousy.

"Fuck....you" mumbled Megan, struggling to say the words as she felt an emerging heat coming from her cloaca. She couldn't resist any longer as the feeling became unbearable.

"Damn...I'm actually going to do it?" thought Megan, fear building within. Her body, as if forced against its will, presented itself to Chris. Tears flowed from Megan's eyes as she could feel Chris behind her, taking in the scents her cloaca was giving off.

"There was an owl that lived in an oak," started Megan, trying to distract herself with positive memories from her childhood. Even as Chris lowered her cloaca to hers and commenced mating.

"The more he heard...the less he spoke" continued Megan, moaning slightly as her developing instincts couldn't help but find the mating pleasurable. Megan could feel an itch coming over her as she continued to distract herself, trying to take herself away from the current moment.

"The less he...spoke, the...more he...heard" mumbled Megan, her tears still falling as the grey feather emerging around her body became impossible to ignore. Her breasts dwindled to nothing as the mating continued, leading up towards the inevitable climax. Megan's developing instincts were beginning to overwhelm her as the mating began to feel pleasurable.

Rebecca observed the pair mating. She began to feel her jealousy surfacing once again. She felt herself blush as she felt a strange urge within her. She quickly suppressed it as she watched the pair.

"This...this was supposed to resolve my jealousy," thought Rebecca, struggling to reconcile her feelings for Chris. Her feelings only began to intensify as she forced herself to turn away, anticipating the peafowl would be climaxing soon.

"O, if men were all like that wise SQUARK!" finished Megan. She quickly realised she had just squawked as Chris dismounted. Megan felt disoriented as an unusual sensation began to form in her rear.

"Seriously...I'm going to lay eggs as well" groaned Megan as she looked around. Her instincts were continuing to break away at her resistance. She noticed the large nest within the enclosure as she couldn't help but walk over to it.

Megan could feel her legs thinning out with each step she took. Her legs cracked and took on peahen proportions as she progressed forward. Her toes thinned out and changed black, becoming claws.

"This just all feels like a bad dream," thought Megan arriving at the nest. She felt a sensation in her cloaca and pushed, bending her knees closer to the ground.

"Agh.....SQUARK!" screamed Megan as she felt the pressure subside. She looked over, noticing the new eggs within the nest.

"I...I've laid eggs," thought Megan, her mouth widening in shock. Despite this, she felt a new powerful instinct take hold. She was a mother to these eggs and she would care for them no matter what as she felt a great swell of pride within herself.

"These are my eggs, I...mother?" thought Megan, her thoughts beginning to become more simple. She instinctively bent her legs down and slowly planted herself on top of the eggs.

Megan settled on the eggs, nestling under her chicks. As she did, she would feel her fingernails come loose as grey feathers began to emerge, she felt a calling to place her arms under her armpits which she couldn't ignore as the feathers spread over her arms, those thinning out and forming her new wings which she flapped, testing them out with intrigue.

"I have wings...this feels correct," thought Megan, her human side unknowingly suppressing itself as the situation had become too much for the poor girl. This gave the sensations free rein as they continued to mould her into her new form.

Megan felt a tingling in her neck. It began to lengthen out as she was no longer capable of speech. Her lips stretched out as they hardened. They darkened as they formed her new beak which she opened and closed experimentally. Her teeth withdrew as she could feel more space within her beak.

The itching began to return as Megan could feel the grey feathers spreading over her. As they approached the top of her head, two small feathers emerged which were brown. They moved around a bit as Megan looked around, seeing Chris...her mate walking towards her.

"Please...just end this nightmare," thought Megan. Her tears began to dry up as she felt her eyes darkening. Ironically, she was about to get her wish as her peahen instincts took full dominance in her mind. Her remaining humanity was sealed away for good as the new peahen finished its transformation.

Megan was still nestled under her chicks as Chris approached the nest. The pair nuzzled each other as Megan ruffled her feathers, content to have such a loving mate.

Chris felt new instincts emerge as his mate nested his chicks. He felt a strong fatherly bond and would protect his chicks and his mate no matter what happened.

After the pair finished nuzzling, Chris headed back to the edge of the enclosure, ready to show off and protect his mate.

"I guess that's it then?" thought Rebecca as she watched the new peahen resting on her eggs. Rebecca felt an urge within her, barely suppressing the urge to join the pair. She could feel a tingling in her rear as she forced herself to turn away.

"I..I, I have to go" mumbled Rebecca, forcing herself to leave.

Later That Night:

Rebecca looked back over the footage within the Security Room for what felt like the millionth time. She had checked every angle, every perspective and had still come up short.

"What...what caused the sensations I felt earlier?" questioned Rebecca, still checking the footage as her mind began to wander.

"I suppose Chris will be content now," thought Rebecca. She smiled bittersweetly as she recalled how Chris had seemed to take a liking to Megan.

"Still, I can't help but feel if we could've been something?" mumbled Rebecca, inwardly wishing she had Chris to herself. She felt a small sensation coming over her, focusing on her rear. Rebecca was too deep in thought to notice. Black feathers had begun to grow from her rear. Her rear, in turn, was in the process of developing into a pointed nub.

"Wait...what's going ON?!?" mumbled Rebecca, her voice quickly raising as she looked back. She saw the feathers emerging from her shorts, showing off to anyone who would notice.

"Wait...I'm causing this?!" said Rebecca, a fearful expression as she felt further sensations coming over her. She quickly realised she needed to calm down. Otherwise, she saw a near future as a peahen.

"Ok, calm down, calm down," said Rebecca, quickly breathing in and out as she attempted to compose herself. Fortunately, she felt her own magic wash over her, the feathers shrinking before disappearing completely. Her rear began to return to normal, losing its pointed edge as Rebecca took a moment to calm herself completely.

"I need to focus on something else," thought Rebecca as she decided to archive the day's footage. She isolated Megan's transformation from the rest of the footage as she burnt it to a tape, intending to add it to her collection.

While she waited, she thought back to what Megan had said earlier regarding her friend Erica.

"I guess we might as well make the best of a bad situation," said Rebecca, still feeling annoyed that Elizabeth had gone insubordinate. "I'll make a note next to Erica's profile" decided Rebecca as she heard a 'pop' sound.

"It is done," said Rebecca as she retrieved the tape, intending on adding it to storage.

She stood up from the chair she was sitting in as she headed over to storage. She placed the tape amongst the rest as she looked up the collection.

"Wait...where's Diana's tape?!" thought Rebecca, double-checking once more. Rebecca began to look around in a panic, wondering if she had misplaced it. She slammed her fist down on the desk as she failed to find the tape, realising that it was missing.

"Someone must have swiped it," thought Rebecca frustratingly as she began to immediately list potential suspects in her mind. "Elizabeth perhaps?" continued Rebecca, her mind considering the possibility before dismissing it. "No, she wouldn't. She may be a nuisance and out of control but she wouldn't directly sabotage us" concluded Rebecca, still feeling slightly uneasy.

"Maybe the footage will give me a clue," said Rebecca. She looked back over the old footage for the previous day. To her surprise and annoyance, she found that there was an hour block missing. In addition, there was a fifteen-minute blackout period for certain cameras which implied sabotage.

"So...Elizabeth was here," said Rebecca as she eyed the time stamp. "This was when the new Crocodile was obtained" concluded Rebecca. She would have to question her at some point but for now, she had to sort out her current predicament.

"Maybe I just need some time away from all this" thought Rebecca as she reflected on the recent events. "Maybe the School Trip was more stressful than I give it credit for" mumbled Rebecca as she considered the possibility of taking leave.

"I...I can't" said Rebecca, finding herself unable to trust the others as they could be sabotaging her efforts.

"I need to keep an eye on them, continue to play them against each other," admitted Rebecca, feeling that she needed to put them on edge. "Then, once I'm done...then I can take a break," said Rebecca.

Rebecca decided to calm herself before she went home as she looked back over her collection. She saw Caitlyn's tape amongst the collection as she picked it up.

"I'll watch it again. She certainly seems to have taken being an animal well" thought Rebecca as she inserted the tape into the playback.

"I wonder if she has a family...or a boyfriend perhaps?" wondered Rebecca as she saw the monitor come to life as she sat back in the chair within the Security Room.

As Rebecca felt content with herself, she gave out a small smile. After the hectic day she had experienced, it was just nice to settle back with a video.

"Yes...this is worth it," thought Rebecca as she nodded, settling in for the viewing ahead.
