Caitlyn stood and looked up towards the stone archways of the 'New Zoo' that had opened in her town.
"Why am I here?" thought Caitlyn, still trying to reason with herself the reason she applied in the first place. She could feel the sun shining down as it made her feel rather uncomfortable, making it hard to concentrate.
She stayed still for several more moments, wondering if she should go in. Caitlyn had heard rumours of people disappearing and in addition to her shyness, almost made her turn around and leave.
"Why did I let Anna persuade me into this?" wondered Caitlyn, recalling how her best friend had managed to persuade her into applying for an intern position at the Zoo. Caitlyn was already regretting agreeing to this as she looked once more to the stone archways.
"Sometimes I wish I was more assertive, would be useful for Anna...and my dad" thought Catilyn. Despite her thoughts, she couldn't help but smile, knowing Anna was only looking out for her when she encouraged Caitlyn to get out more but sometimes Caitlyn wished that Anna understood her shyness and left her alone.
No longer able to stand the heat of the sun, Caitlyn pulled back her hood, hiding underneath blond hair which was tied into two pigtails. She unzipped her pink jacket and placed it into her bag which hung from her shoulder, trying to cool down from the heat of the sun.
Caitlyn tugged at her pink short sleeved shirt as she looked down, anxiously hoping that she was presentable. She looked further down at her white shorts, thinking that she might have been better with more formal wear for what she imagined was going to be a job interview. Her white trainers shone in the bright sun as she looked down to her feet.
"Good thing my dad didn't see me before I left. He definitely would have insisted on something more formal" thought Caitlyn, shuddering at the thought of having to wear a formal dress in this heat.
"Am I really thinking of doing this? wondered Caitlyn softly, reminding herself that people have gone missing from here. She considered it once more, seriously questioning doing this.
"Suppose I might as well go in" mumbled Caitlyn, resigning herself to the risk, she decided that she might as well try, if only to shut Anna up the next time they met.
Caitlyn wandered into the Zoo as she looked around. The Zoo wasn't as full or noisy as she anticipated as she walked down the Main Hallway, noticing it had a few enclosures occupied with animals. She sighed in relief, glad to not be overwhelmed by animal noises.
"This is...actually kind of nice" thought Caitlyn, smiling as she looked around. She imagined that it'd be nice to bring her boyfriend with her for a date. Or maybe her brother, he would certainly enjoy the sight of the animals, especially once the collection filled up some more.
Eventually, Caitlyn settled on the panther enclosure. She watched as one of them came down from their perch in a tree and came down to look at her. Caitlyn watched with intrigue, she was always a fan of cats as she noticed another approaching. She stared intently at the panthers as they continued to stare at her, the trio getting into a staring contest.
"This is...odd" thought Caitlyn, intrigued yet confused at the display in front of her. Her attention was fixated enough that she didn't notice someone approaching her. The woman was clearly wearing a uniform, indicating she was part of management.
Suddenly, Caitlyn jumped back as she felt a hand touch her shoulder. She turned around and noticed a taller woman facing her with long black hair. Caitlyn couldn't help but be intimidated by her as she stared back.
"Sorry if I startled you," said Rebecca, smiling as she placed a hand on Caitlyn's shoulder, attempting to comfort her. "I believe you are Caitlyn, responding to my application?."
Caitlyn could only nod weakly, anxious she had messed up her first impression with who she imagined would be her boss. She turned away, considering leaving the zoo and pretending this never happened.
Rebecca noticed that Caitlyn seemed uncomfortable as she stared at the panthers who were watching intently. Rebecca admired their majesticness for a moment as she eyed Caitlyn's expression. She noticed that Caitlyn appeared really interested in the panthers, as she smiled once more, thinking of a way to break the tension.
"I take it you like cats?" asked Rebecca as Caitlyn turned back to face her, having clearly regained interest as Rebecca noted how the girl's body language changed. It seemed more passionate, more confident.
Caitlyn joined Rebecca as the pair stared at the panthers together. "I've always liked them, seeming so free, so confident, things I wish I could be," said Caitlyn, as she felt unusual confidence beginning to grow in her. Caitlyn felt weird telling a person she just met personal information but she felt incapable of stopping.
Rebecca listened intently to Caitlyn as she continued to go on about the panthers. She noticed the growing confidence within Caitlyn as she continued with passion regarding the panthers and other big cats and decided on what she was going to do.
"I think we have a position which will suit you." said Rebecca, smiling softly as she awaited Caitlyn's reaction.
Caitlyn stopped in shock, not knowing how to react as she had just been offered a job. She resisted the temptation to thank Rebecca endlessly as Rebecca walked away, using her hand to prompt Caitlyn to follow her. Caitlyn quickly followed, not wanting to jeopardise the good fortune she had received.
As they walked within the Main Hallway, Caitlyn looked around and noticed the leopards as she stared at them intently. She envied their confidence, desired their confidence.
Rebecca laughed slightly to herself, walking over to Caitlyn and noting how Caitlyn watched the leopards, noticing her behaviour and body language as she picked up on the feeling of jealousy from the girl.
"She clearly desires confidence, that's something I can help with" thought Rebecca, finding herself taking a liking to Caitlyn. While she was shy upon first greetings, her enthusiasm was contagious as Rebecca's smile grew wider and surprisingly, more genuine.
Caitlyn stopped outside another enclosure which she quickly identified as the Cheetah enclosure. She eyed the sole resident of the enclosure who came down from its branch, staring intently...almost as if pleading her to leave as Caitlyn felt a little creeped out, wondering if she was about to make a mistake.
"Don't mind her, she's always had behavioural issues" stated Rebecca, guiding Caitlyn away who compiled reluctantly, the cheetah seeming to take no notice of her disappearance before heading back up to their branch. They had some much needed sleep to catch up on.
Rebecca guided Catilyn to the enclosure opposite as she stopped outside a door labelled 'Tiger' as Caitlyn stopped alongside her. "Now we're going to be having a new tiger in later today and I need you to make sure that the enclosure is ready for when they arrive.'' explained Rebecca as Caitlyn listened with intrigue, not wanting to squander this opportunity she had been given.
Rebecca opened the door, Caitlyn giving her bag to Rebecca for safekeeping. She walked past Rebecca and into the enclosure, Rebecca slowly closing the door behind her after Caitlyn had walked far enough. Caitlyn was too far away to hear that Rebecca had locked the enclosure from the outside.
The enclosure was beautiful. Caitlyn looked around and noticed the large trees which hung overhead with very thick branches, only allowing very little light to come through the sunroof. She continued to look around, noticing a waterfall running into a stream near a pile of craggy rocks which could be used by the tiger to lie on. She looked towards the stream, thinking it would be a good source for the tiger to drink from and a place to bathe and occupy itself.
She bent down, feeling the grass under her feet as she noticed several logs stretching across the ground as she began to feel warm, which was unusual as she felt the cool air against her skin.
"This enclosure is so nice, it'll be great for when the tiger gets here" thought Caitlyn as unknown to her, her changes were beginning!
Meanwhile, Rebecca had gotten into position. She aimed her camcorder into the Tiger enclosure and managed to get a clear view of Caitlyn's current position. Rebecca was looking forward to this as she looked around, noticing her CCTV cameras were also pointing into the enclosure. She smiled, knowing the recording would be done from multiple angles to her satisfaction.
"Perfect" thought Rebecca as she stood back, eager to enjoy the show.
It was time for her new star to shine.
Caitlyn began to feel something growing within her, it felt unusual as she started to pant at the heat, the warmth intensifying as she began to feel distinctly uncomfortable.
"What's with the sudden warmth?" thought Caitlyn, feeling a cramp emerging from her feet as she tried to move, stumbling in the process towards the stream as she tripped up, splashing her head into the water.
She pulled her head back up as she swallowed a mouthful of water. She felt slightly more refreshed, the warmth seemed to ease for a moment as she attempted to stand back up but felt an unease in her feet which prevented this.
"Why do my feet hurt so badly?, I haven't walked too much today" moaned Cailtyn as the unease in her feet got worse. It felt as if they were changing, squeezing against her shoes as she strained at the pain. Nevertheless, she managed to force herself up, returning to her feet as her shoes felt like they were being pushed to their limits.
Eventually the shoes gave way as they were torn to shreds. Caitlyn looked back in confusion as she got a glance at her feet.
"My feet, what's happening to my feet?!" said Caitlyn, her tone clearly indicating her distress as she felt sensations within her feet, indicating they hadn't finished changing.
She eyed her new sharp claws which had replaced her toenails as she felt her feet warp and change. They grew pads and stretched longer, one of her toes bending back and disappearing, leaving her with four toes which began to move closer together, losing flexibility as Caitlyn found it becoming increasingly harder to stand.
Caitlyn managed to stay up momentarily but only managed to stumble a few steps before she fell again, hitting the floor of the enclosure.
Caitlyn tried to get herself back up. Despite her best efforts, Caitlyn felt her back align and reshape, bounding her to all fours. This would ensure she would remain in that position as Caitlyn felt further changes occurring around the base of her spine.
She felt something begin to tickle and push out of her spine. She whimpered as this caused her to feel pressure due to the obstruction of her shorts. Whatever was happening was causing Caitlyn unmeasurable pain as she gritted her teeth, trying to hold it in.
"Damn it this hurts!" shouted Caitlyn, no longer able to hold in her pain as she felt the pressure worsen as whatever was pushing out only increased in intensity as she continued to whimper, the pressure becoming unmanageable
Eventually the shorts burst a hole through and a tail burst out which moved slightly in the air. The tail was covered in fur as Caitlyn felt sudden relief at the freedom of her new appendage.
"Oh thank god" mumbled Caitlyn, feeling rather faint from the pain as she began to regain her senses. To her surprise, she felt something behind her which she didn't recognise.
"What's this strange feeling?" mused Caitlyn as she stared back, noticing her new tail swaying cheekily behind her. As she stared, she noticed the colouration and pattern as she realised what was happening.
Somehow, she was turning into a tiger!
"I'm becoming a tiger?" wondered Caitlyn, trying to make sense of what was going on as she felt a sense of happiness come over her. "That's actually kind of cool" she thought, recalling how she always loved the big cats. To Caitlyn, to actually be one would be living the dream.
As Caitlyn felt more sensations come over her body, implying more changes were soon to come, she could feel something change inside her, new confidence growing where she previously had none.
Rebecca watched with interest, feeling surprised as she saw Caitlyn's change. She seemed so much more accepting of it than the other people she had recorded.
"Fascinating" thought Rebecca, eying Caitlyn as her changes continued. She could sense Caitlyn's happiness, her eagerness, her newfound confidence growing as she smiled to herself, eager to await her new tiger.
"I hope it's everything she thought it would be" started Rebecca as she smiled, looking forward to seeing Caitlyn fit into her new role. "But be careful what you wish for my dear" finished Rebecca, continuing to eye the girl as her changes continued.
Currently, Caitlyn could feel her confidence grow as her hands changed, her fingers plumping up, squeezing together as her nails sharpened and lengthened into her new claws. She scratched against her t-shirt and shorts tearing them to shreds as immediate relief followed as her new body was free from the confines of her clothing.
Caitlyn was completely naked but due to her newfound confidence she didn't care, she would have her new fur coat soon anyway. She screamed out as she felt further changes continuing, her scream halfway transitioning into a roar.
"I feel...purrfect" thought Caitlyn, chuckling inwardly at her pun as she could feel further changes come over her.
She then began to feel something tickle as she smiled, her fur was finally growing in as it pricked her naked body, each hair was like a needle as they began to grow on her, spreading across her entire body. They were mostly orange but she noticed black was growing as well, likely forming her new stripes.
Cailtyn felt her vagina move and tuck directly under her tail. Her mind wandered slightly to the possibility of a mate but she quickly shook the thought from her head, focusing on the intensity and pleasure of her changes.
"Besides," thought Caitlyn, her thoughts barely coherent from the pleasure. "Travis was the only boy for me" she finished, her further changes making focusing on any else difficult if not impossible. She could already feel the next changes commencing, her whole body began to ache as she could feel her muscles vibrating, shifting and moving as they changed from human to feline.
Caitlyn then felt her body swell, it blew up, swelling with more and more muscle. She felt her changes and demanded them to continue, feeling more confident by the second. Her body grew considerable muscle as it thickened out into the proportions of a tiger. Her new proportions caused her to shift posture, finding it difficult to stay how she had been.
Caitlyn looked down at herself, realising she was sitting on her haunches and noticing the only thing left to change was her face. She stroked her body with her new paws, chuffing at the sensation, eager to see the changes to the end as she could feel the sensations march up, focusing on her face as she chuffed further in approval.
She began to feel her face push out slightly into a muzzle, her nose flattening as it turned pink, becoming a tiger's nose as Caitlyn eyed it curiously, feeling a tingling coming from her cheeks.
"Guess my new whiskers are coming in" wondered Caitlyn internally as she could something pushing out of her face. Caitlyn didn't have to wonder about it too long as she noticed her new whiskers which brushed against the cool zoo air instinctively as Caitlyn could feel a tingling near her hair.
She managed a quick glance as she watched her long blonde hair fall from her head, landing on the floor of the enclosure, the pigtails that her mother had taught her how to do fading from her head as she was soon rendered bald.
"While I admit I will miss my hair, my new luxurious fur is a splendid replacement" thought Cailtyn as she wished for the changes to finish, embracing them as she wished for her head to finish transforming already.
She got her wish when she felt her face continue to push out, completing her muzzle. Her teeth loosened as she spat them out onto the ground. They were quickly replaced with a new set of teeth which were better adapted for her new position as an apex predator.
She could feel her ears morph and move to the top of her head, having changed shape to match her new form. She felt her hearing shift a little, even going deaf for a brief moment before it returned with greater clarity. She could hear the waterfall running amongst other sounds as she felt a prickling in her eyes, causing her to close them briefly.
"Hope I won't go blind too" deadpanned Caitlyn as she felt her eyes change, her vision altering as they became tigers eyes which would help her in her new life ahead. She opened her eyes, looking curiously around her enclosure...her home. Despite their transition, human clarity clearly remained within her eyes as it took her a moment to get used to them.
"I can't believe how much clearer my vision is" thought Caitlyn joyously as she could feel a prickling coming over her face as she chuffed, knowing what was coming.
"It's about time!" thought Caitlyn enthusiastically as she finally felt the fur spread over her face as she felt relief, completing her changes as the only thing she felt was excitement for her future.
Caitlyn roared as her changes completed, glad to join the New Zoo as she heard returning roars from the panthers and leopards.
To Caitlyn's surprise, while she could feel her new instincts within her mind, she could still remember her past. Whilst she could remember being human, she didn't care. She felt much better in her new form as she got used to her new body, eager to explore her territory.
"Good to know I'm still me" thought Caitlyn, feeling a sense of fatigue overcome her newfound enthusiasm. The transformation must have taken more out of her than she thought.
Rebecca watched as she admired the new tiger they had acquired.
"It's great that she embraced it, it'll be nice to have a companion who doesn't irritate me" thought Rebecca as she took a quick glance to the cheetah enclosure. The cheetah didn't appear to notice as Rebecca withdrew her camcorder before heading toward the enclosure of the new tiger.
She deposited fresh meat for the new tiger into the enclosure and watched as Caitlyn despite her fatigue, dug in, devouring the meat. Rebecca watched with interest as she observed the tiger devouring the meal in front of her.
Upon completing her meal, Caitlyn wandered over to one of the trees, she left claw marks within it, marking her territory as she climbed up the tree before settling on a large branch. She quickly fell asleep, tired after a long day, the fatigue finally overwhelming her.
Rebecca looked and smiled, happy at the newest addition to the zoo before turning away towards the exit of the zoo. She hoped that Elizabeth had left Charlotte alone but her mind told her otherwise. The pair had been on edge since the incident with the school children.
"Good" thought Rebecca, knowing that she needed to keep the pair's focus against each other so they didn't consider trying to challenge her. They both seemed intimidated by her and that was good enough for Rebecca as long as they remained compliant.
She decided to turn around, she felt like taking a picture of her tiger and the pair of them could wait. She felt her camera around her neck as she positioned it well. She took a picture of the snoozing tiger as she looked to the picture, smiling as she admired it.
"I look forward to having you working with us Caitlyn...I know you won't let us down" finished Rebecca as she turned away, leaving for real this time as she decided to give her new tiger some peace.
After all, the pair had both had long days and were eager to get some rest.
