The moon was full, a cold breeze blowing across the surroundings of the New Zoo. The night was late, the stone archways holding strong as the gates of the New Zoo were firmly shut to visitors.
However, this did little to stop two people from approaching the walls of the New Zoo, both of them determined and intent on getting to the bottom of their investigation.
To find their missing son.
"Doesn't look so foreboding up close...does it?" said Paula, eyeing the New Zoo before taking a glance at her phone. She checked the screen once again, irritated to have found no response from her best friend.
"Looks can be deceiving" replied Paul, noticing the various posters adorning the walls that surrounded the New Zoo. He adjusted his square-framed glasses, turning back to his wife. "Have we heard anything from Judas and Eliza yet?" asked Paul, keeping his voice low.
"No...nothing yet" replied Paula, feeling concerned for the pair. Especially concerning the rumours surrounding the New Zoo that the pair hoped to infiltrate this late night.
It had been over a week since their child, a small boy named Wayne, had been invited to come to the New Zoo for a school trip. To their surprise and shock, Wayne, alongside the other children, had mysteriously disappeared.
This had accused the parents to gather together and plan their next move. Ideally, they would've come up with a plan together. Unfortunately, due to Noah's actions...their motivation, at that moment, had quickly fizzled out.
"I still can't believe Noah said...that to Petra," thought Paula, shaking her head as she checked her phone once more. She could tell that Paul was growing impatient, clearly anxious to find out what had happened to his son...their son.
"No...keep your mind focused Paula," thought Paula to herself, the irritating emotions she tried to keep buried threatening to burst to the surface once more. However, despite her best efforts, she couldn't help but lose focus...if only momentarily.
"It used to be so simple..." thought Paula, thinking back to years ago. It had been so easy to relate to Wayne when he was a baby, her job as a nursery teacher being excellent support for Wayne even far into his preschooler years.
Then Wayne got smart...like very smart. It had felt like everything in his brain had suddenly 'clicked', causing his intelligence to rise rapidly. And the faster it grew...the more disconnected Paula felt from her own son.
"I wonder if Wayne feels the same way?" thought Paula, taking another absent-minded glance at her phone. She fumed slightly as she noticed that Judas or Eliza still hadn't responded to her messages.
"I'm guessing that they still haven't answered?" asked Paul, eyeing his wife with a serious expression as she shook her head. "This is taking too long" continued Paul, his agitation obvious as Paula couldn't help but let her mind wander.
In direct contrast to herself, Wayne had seemed to become more connected to his father as he had become more and more intelligent. It was fortunate that Paul, having an engineering background, was able to keep up with Wayne's desire for learning and, for the most part, was able to speak to Wayne on equal footing.
"Although...if it wasn't for the other children" wondered Paula, recalling her concern about Wayne lacking companions his own age. She had even considered the possibility of a second child, ideally a daughter...although Paula did acknowledge her biases on this front. "I can't help it" continued Paula, struggling to contain her resentment. "I was raised in a large household amongst many siblings where we all supported each other" finished Paula, her mind wandering to what could've been.
"Petra has many daughters...why couldn't we have at least one?" thought Paula, pouting with irritation as she eyed her phone once more.
There was still no response from Judas or Eliza.
"Ok...this had gone on long enough," said Paul, snapping Paula out of her trance. "Get the bolt cutters out...we're going in" ordered Paul as Paula nodded her head. She reached into the bag the pair had brought with them, finding the pair of bolt cutters relatively quickly. She passed them over to Paul who quickly approached the front gate.
"Hmmm" mumbled Paul, noticing the chain holding the padlock in place. He nodded as he pressed down on the chain, the lock coming free relatively quickly. Paul managed to push the gate open relatively simply as he turned back towards his wife.
"I know you're nervous...so am I," said Paul, eyeing his wife sympathetically. "But...we should head in soon before we look too suspicious" continued Paul, eyeing down towards the black jumper and trousers he had worn. He adjusted his square-framed glasses once more, his short brown hair shining somewhat in the moonlight. The jumper felt slightly tight around his stomach, owing to a 'pudge' that seemed impossible to get rid of.
Nevertheless, Paul pushed the intrusive thoughts from his mind, feeling the determination to find his son coming to the forefront.
Paula, on the other hand, had also come coated in a black jumper and trousers, believing it would help the pair camouflage in the dark. Her black hair, styled like a mohawk, fluttered slightly as she eyed her physique, smiling momentarily in admiration. The many days of jogging and exercising at the gym with Eliza had truly paid off...and helped take her mind off her troubles.
"Paula? Are we going in?" asked Paul, his tone slightly pointed.
"Yes...of course" replied Paula quickly, nervously smiling as she watched her husband nod in response.
Despite their shared unease, Paul and Paula's expressions steeled, and the pair felt committed to finding out the truth.
With that, the pair wandered under the stone archways as they entered the Main Hallway of the New Zoo. The pair barely took notice of the animal enclosures as they continued to look around, trying to find any leads or clues as to their son's whereabouts.
"Strange...it feels too quiet," thought Paul, feeling suspicious as he continued to look around.
Unknown to the pair, they were not alone...a distant camera whirred as it focused on the pair. It was tracking their movements as a small flash emanated from it.
Within the Security Room:
"Perfect...so we have intruders?" thought Rebecca, leaning back in her chair as she observed the couple on the numerous monitors which adorned the wall of the Security Room. She shook her head, hoping to get some momentary peace after everything that had been going down over the last few days.
"I underestimated the backlash that the disappearance of those children would cause," said Rebecca, shaking her head in annoyance. "If only Elizabeth and Charlotte could do as they were ordered" continued Rebecca, feeling more irritated as she eyed Paul and Paula on the monitors once more.
"Still...this system is proving its weight in gold already," thought Rebecca, taking a quick glance at the photo she acquired of the couple. She pressed a nearby pink button, smiling contentedly as the photo was sent to the distant printer.
A feature that Rebecca had specifically requested when she'd ordered it from Jacob.
"Perfect...now to listen in," said Rebecca, staring at the many different coloured buttons on the console.
So many options, and so little time.
After a quick recollection, Rebecca pressed the yellow button, content when she started hearing audio coming from the speakers on the ceiling.
"Wayne?" called out Paul on one monitor, Rebecca content to eye her prey.
"Wayne...where are you?" called Paula from another monitor, Rebecca smiling as she sensed something deep within Paula.
A deep emotional response.
"Wow...who'd thought?" said Rebecca to herself. She sat back in her chair, feeling Paula's emotional responses washing over her. She could sense Paula's deepest emotions, the desire to relate to her child, the longing for a daughter...the hope for a bigger family.
It felt warm, like love...in the only way a mother could.
And all it did was make Rebecca feel sick.
"So...she desires a family?" mumbled Rebecca to herself. She could feel her anger rising, a nerve struck within as she continued to eye the couple. She tried to shake the feeling but found it difficult to escape her anger. She noticed the couple progressing deeper into the Zoo, her smile widening, becoming malicious as she pressed one of the various red buttons on the console in front of her.
The monitors focused on the Bear enclosure within the Outside Section. The very section that Paul and Paula had just entered. Rebecca's grin grew wider as she felt a plan coming together.
A cruel spiteful plan...which was exactly what Rebecca was looking for at this very moment.
"Oh...that's perfect," said Rebecca, feeling enthusiastic as she raised her hand. It glowed, becoming coated in a green aura as her magic interacted with the Zoo...her Zoo to fulfil her desires.
It looked like the New Zoo would be getting a 'midnight addition'.
The Butterfly Effect:
Paul and Paula, unaware of Rebecca's machinations, continued to look around. The pair were becoming increasingly nervous as they entered the Outside Section of the New Zoo. Their lack of success in finding something, anything that could provide a lead as to the whereabouts of their son...was beginning to get to the pair.
"This...we're not finding anything useful" fumed Paula, feeling irritated as Paul turned to face his wife.
"I agree...but everything so far feels too ominous for the Zoo to suddenly be normal" replied Paul, holding his wife's hand reassuringly. He afforded a small smile, trying to keep his wife...and himself calm as they approached a nearby crossroads.
The path split into two separate directions. The pair stared at the sign for a moment, wondering which direction to go. They noticed there were many different directions towards animal enclosures, including a forward arrow leading towards a 'Reptile House.'
"I suppose we should split up?" asked Paula, staring at her husband who seemed deep in thought. "We'll be able to cover more ground that way" continued Paula, noticing her husband still seemed to be mulling it over.
Paul was conflicted. While Paula's suggestion did make sense, especially since the amount of time they had was likely limited, and they'd be able to search a wider area than if they stuck together, something just seemed...off.
Something Paul just couldn't figure out for the life of him.
Not to mention the number of horror movies he'd seen over the years...and how splitting up never worked in said movies.
"Paul?" asked Paula, getting his attention as her tone was slightly pointed. "Should we split up?" asked Paul once more, her irritation within her voice.
Paul thought for a moment longer. Despite his gut instincts, he knew how important this was to Paula. He was well aware of how distant she felt from Wayne and...was determined to find their son so they could all create new memories together.
Memories of his wife and son bonding once more.
"Yes...of course" replied Paul, nervously smiling as he watched his wife nod in response.
"Ok, we'll each take a direction and meet back up around the top" stated Paula, Paul only nodding again in response as he felt an unease in his stomach.
However, as Paul watched his wife walk away, he felt his voice catch in his throat. By the time he regained his voice, Paula was already gone.
"Ok...just look around and meet back up with her," thought Paul, still trying to hold back his nerves. Something just didn't feel right. He felt a chill in the air as he went in the opposite direction to his wife.
He could only hope that they met up again as planned.
The Sleuth Revelation:
Paula continued to walk through the Outside Section of the Zoo. She noticed the many various empty enclosures along the way as she couldn't help but admire the quality of the architecture despite the situation she was in.
"Shame that this is all likely to go to waste," thought Paula, her focus diverted. She recalled the previous controversies...and how people had disappeared. As her eyes widened in realisation, she began to feel a large wave of regret coming over her.
"In hindsight...sending Wayne here wasn't the best idea," said Paula, struggling to hold back a few tears.
Unknown to Paula, Rebecca, still in the Security Room, was observing her from a nearby security camera. Her grin grew wider as she revelled in Paula's misery...feeling fulfilment within as she was looking forward to her newest additions.
It felt nice to have something to smile about...for once.
"Don't worry Paula, you'll soon have the family you always wanted" said Rebecca, her tone full of mocking reassurance as her hand glowed green once more.
It was time for her plan to begin.
Meanwhile, Paula managed to regain her composure as she continued to walk around the Outside Section. She began to pick up her pace, fearing that her lack of focus would cause her to be behind her husband.
"Mom?" called out a voice, causing Paula to stop directly in her tracks. She quickly turned around, trying to find the origin of the voice.
The voice of her son...her beautiful son.
"Wa...Wayne?" replied Paula, struggling to hold back the enthusiasm in her tone. She continued to look around, trying to find any trace of where the voice came from. "Where are you honey?" asked Paula, her anxious tone evident in her voice.
"I'm over here Mom" called out Wayne. Paula was able to work out where the voice was coming from...somehow? However, in her current state of mind, Paula didn't question where she was going...only that it was leading her to Wayne, her son.
Paula stopped outside a nearby enclosure which, according to a nearby information board, was intended for Bears. Its name was the 'Paradise Forest'...and it was certainly living up to its name. As Paula glanced around the enclosure, her eyes couldn't help but widen with fascination and wonder.
The enclosure was truly magnificent. On one side of the enclosure, the ground was covered in layers of cobblestones, with large trees surrounding the half, creating the illusion of a small forest. Upon closer inspection, Paula noticed what appeared to be a swarm of beehives on the trees which seemingly oozed with honey...the sight felt strangely appetising to Paula as she absentmindedly began to drool.
A large stream was also present, separating the enclosure into two halves filled with salmon which Paula could see swimming within the watery depths. It was also deep enough to allow the bears to swim in if they wished.
On the other side of the enclosure, there was a large rocky mountain-like prop filled with multiple cave entryways for the bears to sleep in or possibly hibernate as the situation called for it. There was an abundance of berry bushes for the bears to feed on alongside grass flooring for additional comfort.
Finally, the enclosure was on lowered ground, minimising the risk of the bears threatening any patrons who would visit the Zoo once it opened to the public...if it opened to the public.
In short, the enclosure looked like Paradise.
"Amazing" mumbled Paula, leaning over the railing to get a closer look. Something about the enclosure just seemed so...magical, so fascinating...so real.
"See...I told you mom would come back!" called out Wayne, snapping Paula out of her trance as she stared downwards, spotting several bear cubs approaching. She quickly wiped the drool from her mouth, her mouth wide in shock as she eyed a group of small bear cubs who were looking at her curiously.
"Well, it was nice to be wrong for once" replied Misty, eyeing her fellow cubs.
"Once?" snarked Autumn, 'chuckling' at Misty's unamused expression. However, it only lasted for a second as Misty soon joined in on the 'chuckling.'
"Mom? Are you ok?" asked Wayne, his head tilted in concern.
Paula could only stare at the group of cubs before her. She noticed their alluring adorability as she felt something 'click' in her mind.
These were her cubs.
"Yes, Wayne...I'm fine," said Paula, attempting to reassure her son. However, she felt an increasing temptation bubbling inside of her, a growing instinct that was becoming impossible to ignore.
As a result, Paula climbed into the enclosure. Fortunately, the drop didn't faze her too much as the cubs quickly ambushed her. Paula smiled, laughing softly as she pulled Wayne into a hug. The cub cuddled up to his mother, Misty and Autumn holding back as they stared.
As Paula continued to cuddle Wayne, she failed to notice Misty and Autumn nodding to each other. They each placed a paw on the ground as if signalling for something to begin. As Paula loosened the hug from Wayne, she began to feel odd as various sensations began to spread across her entire being.
Unknown to Paula, the cubs would soon be reunited with their mother.
As Wayne rejoined his siblings, Paula began to feel very, very strange. Her body heat began to rise, her clothes feeling very uncomfortable as she stood up, beginning to itch.
"Wait...why am I wearing clothes?" wondered Paula, eyeing herself as for some reason, the idea of wearing clothes felt rather...silly. Her clothes didn't feel right as she noticed one of the nearby trees...which felt very tempting right now.
"Perfect...to relieve...itch," thought Paula, walking towards the tree as the cubs watched intriguingly. The bag around her shoulder fell. It contained the tools to allow her and her husband to get into the Zoo.
However, as it vanished before hitting the ground, it seemed increasingly unlikely that they would be getting out.
The discomfort of Paula's clothing was becoming too much to bear as she couldn't help but strip. She pulled off her jumper and flung it behind her, failing to notice it vanishing before it even hit the ground.
Her bra was next, Paula mindlessly unclipping it as it likewise fell to the ground. Her mind was too singular-focused on approaching the nearby tree as she unclipped her trousers. She pulled down her trousers and panties, leaving her completely naked as she approached the nearby stream.
"Tree...Itch...claim" thought Paula, her mind struggling to think coherently as she walked through the stream. She could feel a tingling come over her as she walked, the cold not bothering her as she continued to walk through.
Beneath the surface, Paula failed to notice that she was now starting to grow brown fur. It started around her legs, small brown hairs pushing out which were well on their way to becoming lush, coarse brown fur.
As Paula reached the other side of the enclosure, she eyed the nearest tree as she could no longer hold back her desire to relieve this itching. She rushed towards it, quickly turning around as she began to scratch rapidly.
"Yes...feels...good," thought Paula, rubbing her back with renewed vigour as the itching seemed to be dying down. As she continued to scratch, a small tingling began to form on her back, new, abundant, brown fur forming as it forced itself out from her spine. Paula giggled slightly at the sensation as the changes began to spread to her front.
Paula could feel a tingling emerging around her chest. Her breasts appeared to be dwindling, shrinking as several pairs of teats began to form on her chest.
"Ahhhhh" moaned Paula, unable to push the lustful thoughts from her mind. The growth of her teats increased Paula's arousal as she barely noticed the cubs had arrived on the other half of the enclosure. She fell, sitting as her legs turned to jelly, no longer able to hold herself up.
"All according to plan," thought Autumn, grinning maliciously for a brief moment. She then placed her paw on the ground once more, signalling for Paula's next change to begin.
As Paula finished scratching from the tree, she eyed her new teats, barely paying them any mind as she looked around lazily. Her eyes widened as she noticed a beehive atop a nearby branch from the tree she was under. She managed to force herself up, attempting to jump up at the beehive.
"C'mon...need...food," thought Paula, jumping up again as she managed to get a good swat at the beehive. It fell, landing in her arms as she licked her lips, eager to enjoy the tasty honey within.
She stuck her hand in, scratching out a considerable glob of honey as she stared greedily at it. Paula licked her lips once more before plunging her hand into her mouth, suckling on the honey.
The taste was invigorating, heavenly, as Paula's eyes rolled into the back of her head. The sweet taste proved to be the perfect distraction as her changes began to pick up once more.
Her body felt strange, cranking somewhat. The sensations seemed to be shifting her body, changing its proportions slightly. She felt a few strange vibrations across her back, similar to cracking one's knuckles.
Despite the sensations, Paula was far too focused on her sweet honey treat to pay them any mind. As she reached in once more, plunging another glob of honey into her mouth, her mind began to wander.
Paula felt adrift...as if floating. She looked around, feeling a different yet oddly familiar perspective. She looked down, noticing her front paws with sharp claws. They were coated in brown fur, her nose picking up a nearby scent which reassured the mother bear.
"This feels...right?" wondered Paula, a tail wagging slightly as she tried to track the scent through her large black nose. She felt a protective instinct come over her...one that made her feel vicious as she clenched her sharpened teeth.
"Mom...welcome home," said Wayne, causing Paula to turn around. It felt stiff and unusual but she managed as she eyed her cubs Wayne, Misty and Autumn. They pounced at her as she opened her paws up lovingly, hugging her cubs intently in a motherly embrace. She fell backwards as her cubs licked her face intently, Paula returning the favour as she felt another scent waft across her nose.
She managed to get herself back onto all fours, eyeing her mate, Paul. He truly was a handsome bear as Paula couldn't possibly feel any happier at that moment.
And as Paul licked her face affectionately, it was apparent that he couldn't feel any happier either.
"Yes, that would be...Paradise" said Paula back in the real world, failing to notice the cubs eyeing her intently. They were each smiling contentedly, happy to have brought their mother home.
And, according to their calculations, their father shouldn't be too far behind.
Father Bear Comes Home:
Paul stood still, having reached his destination as he looked around curiously for his wife. He couldn't help but cross his arms in frustration.
"Let me guess...she became distracted...again," thought Paul, shaking his head. However, his annoyance was quickly being taken over by his dread. He feared that their son was not the only one who was about to disappear.
"I knew we shouldn't have split up...damn horror cliches" mumbled Paul, eyeing where he knew his wife should've approached from as he began to walk down the path.
"It's ok...she's just a little late," thought Paul, unable to resist the building dread within his stomach. He was now beginning to wish he hadn't watched so many horror movies.
Especially since the New Zoo was beginning to have all the makings of one.
Paul picked up his pace, hurrying up as he began to look around anxiously.
"Paula? Paula, where are you?" called out Paul, his nerves getting the better of him. He continued to look around, fearing for himself, his wife and their son.
As Paul looked around, everything seemed far more foreboding. Each dark corner felt like it was closing in on Paul, his eyes quickly flickering to make sure that nothing was suddenly going to emerge.
Rebecca, noticing and sensing Paul's fear, decided to give him a little clue. And so, with one push of a nearby button, she caused a light near the Bear Enclosure to flicker on.
"Wha...what is that?" wondered Paul, quickly turning his head to find the origin of the white light. As it flickered once more, he had to quickly rub his eyes. The light bounced off his square-framed glasses as he felt another sense of dread within him.
"This...this is obviously a trap," thought Paul, recalling the previous horror movies he'd seen. However, as the light flickered once more, Paul couldn't help but find himself moving towards it.
After all, his wife could very well be in danger.
"I'm coming dear," said Paul, picking up the pace as he headed in the direction of the bright light.
Right into the trap as he feared.
As Paul arrived at the Bear Enclosure, he looked around in confusion. He tried to make sense of something, anything that was happening. However, as he was about to turn around, he heard a noise.
"Paula?" asked Paul, turning back towards the enclosure as he managed to get sight of his wife. His eyes widened in shock as he discovered Paula nude and was she eating...honey?
"Paula...what are you doing?!" shouted Paul, forgetting that they had broken in for a minute. As he continued to eye his wife, he noticed that she seemed...bulkier?
Unknown to Paul, Autumn and Misty had spotted Paul and were smirking maliciously. They both placed their paws on the ground, preparing Paul for his upcoming transformation.
Which all started with a salmon flopping out of the water.
"Paula...what's going on?" asked Paul, trying to make sense of why his wife seemingly couldn't hear him. "We need to get...out...here" continued Paul, the salmon reaching his field of vision. It glistened against his lens, the salmon looked absolutely divine as Paul started to drool.
The salmon certainly looked tasty as Paul's eyes glazed over...drawing him into a trance.
"Salmon...good" mumbled Paul, unable to resist as a sudden pang of hunger came over him. He wanted, no, needed the salmon as he climbed himself into the enclosure.
As he landed, stumbling slightly, Misty eyed Paul intriguingly as she placed her paw on the ground once more. She smiled as Paul began to itch at his clothing, clearly finding it very uncomfortable.
"Clothes...feel...wrong," thought Paul, intrusive thoughts coming over his mind as he progressed towards the stream. His clothes felt wrong, unnatural as he pulled off his black jumper, taking a deep breath as his stomach flopped slightly.
"Feels...right, I...am...bear" mumbled Paul, the air feeling oddly natural against his skin. As if encouraged by the air, he unbuckled his belt, his trousers beginning to droop slightly without the belt's support keeping them up.
The air felt oddly natural against his skin as he proceeded to pull down his trousers, allowing them to fall as he stripped away his underwear. Small brown fur was beginning to force its way from his legs, making them much hairier than they'd been only moments before.
However, Paul failed to notice as he walked into the stream. The cold barely phased him as he looked eagerly into the depths. He licked his lips, drooling with anticipation as he slammed his arm into the stream.
Within moments, he had plucked out a tasty salmon. It wriggled in his hand as he held it tight, his stomach grumbling once more as the sensations began to spread across his legs.
"Ha...got you!" shouted Paul, not breaking his trance even as the fur on his legs continued to broaden. It was a rich, dark brown colour, perfectly broad as it was keeping him warm within the cold depths of the stream.
As Paul held the salmon intently, he could feel his teeth changing. They seemed to be sharpening, pushing out further as they became more suited to the diet of a strong bear. Paul barely noticed as they cut his lip slightly, a small bit of blood splashing down.
All that mattered right now...was satisfying his appetite.
"Time to eat!" shouted Paul, enthusiastic as he crunched down on the salmon. His sharp teeth did short work of the bones as he began to chow down with increased vigour. As he did so, he could feel further sensations coming over him, focusing on his feet.
As Paul continued to eat, he failed to notice his toes beginning to shift and change. The toenails began to push upwards, popping off as new long claws broke free to take their place. They scratched against the ground as Paul's feet continued to shift, assuming a different shape.
Paul stumbled for a brief moment, feeling the pads beneath his developing hind paws pressing out. However, he quickly managed to retain his balance, still biting into the salmon as brown fur began to spread across his newfound paws.
As Paul continued to devour the salmon before him, he could feel his body beginning to shift. He could feel a cranking in his shoulders, the pair shifting closer together as a large hump began to form. It pushed itself further and further out, creating wrinkles in Paul's skin as it did so.
Further to this, the sensations in his legs caused his thighs to bulk out, widening and broadening into the true musculature of the grizzly bear. This shifted all down his various legs muscles, each one bulking out with muscles as Paul finally finished devouring the salmon whole.
Currently, Paul's lower half matched the entire lower body of a strong bear boar. Albeit a bipedal one. However, as Paul stared towards Paula, he couldn't help but feel a hot wave of arousal as the sensations shifted focus towards his genitalia.
"She...my...mate?" thought Paul, smelling a strange musk in the air. His arousal increased tenfold, his growing erection peaking as he could feel his genitals changing beneath him. His penis was thinning out, becoming longer in the process as Paul's eyes rolled into the back of his head. His testicles began to change, one disappearing as his internal organs began to shift location, each one shifting to become the perfect reproductive system for his future life.
As Paul stared at his mate once more, he couldn't help but feel a growing need to mate. His breath became heavy, his new genitals demanding release. In his mental state, he failed to notice Misty and Autumn staring at him, each with knowing smiles.
"Perfect...all according to plan," thought the pair. Misty nodded, silently agreeing to keep watch over Paul while Autumn diverted her attention to Paula...although Wayne was doing a very fine job on his own.
Solving the Sleuth:
Paula, oblivious to Paul changing, hadn't stopped eating the massive globs of honey on her hands. She was even licking them intently, the sweet taste being impossible to resist.
"I'm glad you like it, mom," said Wayne, sitting contentedly as his mother continued to devour the honey before her.
"It's lovely" replied Paula, her voice feeling deeper. As if it was almost a growl. As she plunged her hand into the beehive once more, she could feel a tingling sensation in her hands.
Paula barely noticed as her fingers began to shrink. She continued to plunge her developing paw into the beehive as claws began to form, forcing off her fingernails. Thick pads began to form as her hand compressed in on itself, her palm shrinking as her claws stretched out to their full length.
"Ugh...why is getting honey so...hard...all of a...sudden?!" growled Paula in frustration. She eyed the beehive irritably, feeling the sensations spreading to her other hand as if taunting her.
Paula watched her hand shifting and shrinking. Pads quickly formed on it as her claws began to stretch out. Her hand was quickly becoming inflexible as she could only stare with intrigue. Her hand quickly mirrored her paw as she felt that something wasn't quite right.
However, that thought was quickly overpowered by her desire for more honey. Wayne nodded as if in encouragement. As she stared at the beehive further, staring at her paws irritably, she felt a sensation forming in her teeth.
Her teeth felt strange, tingly as Paula felt them poking upwards. They began to sharpen, becoming wider as Paula felt a new idea come over her. She smiled as she grabbed the beehive clumsily with her paws...and put her sharper teeth to good use.
She chomped down on the beehive, splitting it as honey seeped out of it into her mouth. She crunched the beehive as well, not letting it go to waste as she swallowed. Her teeth stretched out for the last time, becoming the proper size for the bear she was becoming as she felt vibrations occurring all over her body.
"Great work mom," said Wayne, nodding as he walked towards his mother. He threw his paws around her, comforting his mother as Paula hugged him back in response. Even as the sensations occurring across her body increased in intensity, she still held her cub tightly.
Paula felt her back forcefully straighten out against the tree as her body began to put on pound after pound of muscle. She cringed, her sharp teeth clamping down as her body continued to shift, to change as her shoulders forced themselves together, a small hump being created out of lumps of skin. She could feel her brown fur spreading from her spine. It was as if she was being wrapped up in a warm blanket.
"Mom? You ok Mom?" asked Wayne, staring at Paula who was rather disoriented following her change in proportions.
Still, it didn't stop her from eyeing her cub, feeling a motherly instinct to reassure him.
"Yes...I'm fine dear" replied Paula, still trying to collect her bearings. Before she could react, however, she felt something suddenly lick her across her face.
Wayne had licked her affectionately, causing small sensations to begin across Paula's face.
First, the sensations focused around her mouth. Paula cringed, growling slightly as her mouth began to push out into a pseudo-muzzle. It pushed out a few inches, her teeth becoming comfortable in her mouth as the sensations quickly switched locations, focusing around her nose.
Paula couldn't help but giggle as her nose began to push back into her face. It darkened, becoming black as she could feel her sense of smell increasing considerably. She could take in the many scents of her surroundings, from the trees...the fish in the stream...even her mate.
"Wait...my mate?!" thought Paula, the dreamy expression she'd been wearing up to this point shattering before her eyes. Wayne stared up at his mother concerningly, whereas Misty and Autumn had shocked expressions...if only for a moment.
Paula managed to force herself up onto her feet. Her thick, developing brown fur was proving to be rather heavy as she managed to shake her head. She tried to keep hold of her senses, noticing Paul not too far off greedily eating another salmon.
As Paula shook her head, regaining her bearings, she felt a sense of arousal coming over her. Despite her disgust, she couldn't help but feel more and more attracted to Paul's changing form. She felt wet in her vagina as she moaned out in ecstasy. She could feel it changing and shifting, widening as it became truly animalistic as Paula couldn't help but shudder at the thought of Paul being deep inside her.
"No! I need to push on...for Wayne!" thought Paula, trying to force the growing arousal from her mind. She forced herself towards Paul, not noticing the cubs' irritated expression.
"This is...not possible!" thought Autumn, pressing her paw down
"Don't panic...it's not like she can escape" said Misty, pressing her paw down.
"Well...it's not like she's leaving us again" finished Wayne, pressing his paw on the ground.
As Paula continued to walk, she found it becoming increasingly difficult. She looked down, feeling cramping in her feet as she dreaded what she was going to find. Her eyes widened as she watched her toes shrinking, her toenails popping off as long, sharp claws took their place. It felt awkward to walk as thick, brown pads formed across her feet, causing Paula to struggle to keep her balance.
Nevertheless, she pushed on. For the sake of her husband and her son.
Paula felt brown fur pushing out as her feet felt ticklish somewhat. It came out in rich, brown clumps which made it difficult to ignore that she was now coated in a near complete bear pelt as the only thing left unaffected was her face.
"Paul!" shouted Paula, desperate to get her husband's attention.
Paul, meanwhile, was currently tucking into his third salmon. With each bite, his muscles continued to bulk up even more, becoming the proper musculature for a fine grizzly bear. He cringed as he felt somewhat compressed as he continued to persist in devouring the tasty treats within the stream.
As Paul continued to splash around for another salmon, he could feel a tingling in his hands. His hands were becoming considerably less precise as his grip over the salmon was weakening. He could feel his fingers shifting, extending into long, sharp claws as his palms stretched out. He could feel the development of something underneath them, broadening into his new pads.
Within moments, Paul had a new pair of bear claws in place of his hands. It was making it increasingly difficult to grip a salmon as Paul failed to focus on the further changes occurring to his body.
Paul's fur continued to spread, pushing upwards as brown hairs forced their way out of his skin. It quickly widened, becoming lush as they vastly covered his skin. They spread upwards, further and further like wildfire as soon, Paul's entire body, except for his head, was coated in a new, brown, bear pelt.
As Paul finally grabbed another salmon, his mind couldn't help but drift back to thoughts of his mate. As he did so, he couldn't help but feel aroused once more. The sensations began to focus around his nose as his eagerness to mate was becoming impossible to ignore.
His nose immediately began to squash in, darkening as it turned pitch black. Paul was overwhelmed for a brief moment as the smell of all the salmon in the lake intensified tenfold. However, he could also smell the musky, natural scent of his mate who seemed to be approaching him as his nose transformed all the way.
"Paul!" shouted Paula, immediately getting Paul's attention. He cranked his head up, the clouds within his mind beginning to fade as he managed to get a good view of what had happened to him.
"What the hell?!" shouted Paul, getting a broad view of his ursine body. He was struggling to make sense of what was happening to him. This was in defiance of everything he ever knew.
Somehow, he was turning into a bear.
And, as Paul turned to face his wife, he could see the same was happening to her.
"Paula...what's going on?" asked Paul, barely stopping himself from falling over as Paula gripped him in a tight hug.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry!" said Paula, weeping into Paul's fur as she kept her literal bear grip strong. However, as her breathing intensified, she couldn't help but smell Paul's readiness which, in turn, made her feel aroused in her genitalia.
In the confusion, the pair failed to notice the trio of cubs approaching them. They sat down on their hindquarters, smiling deviously for a brief moment.
"Soon...it will be time," said Autumn, her voice eager for what was to come.
"Just a shame we'll need to wait a few months" replied Misty, shaking her head irritably.
"Hey, at least we'll still have each other" finished Wayne, smiling as the cubs nodded in agreement.
"Paula...please calm down," said Paul, although it sounded more like he was begging her. He stroked her back affectionately, trying to calm his changing wife. "Now...why do you feel sorry for this?" asked Paul, feeling his wife beginning to calm down.
"I...I was selfish, of this, of your time with Wayne...I heard him Paul...our son" started Paula, turning to face the cubs to the side. "I...I couldn't help but come in here to be with him" finished Paula, failing to notice Paul's confused expression.
"Paula? What are you looking at?" asked Paul, eyeing his wife with confusion. She was staring at nothing...other than the cobblestones.
"But...Wayne, he's right here" replied Paula, turning Paul's head to meet her gaze. The pair looked together as Paul could only feel confusion coming over him.
"Paula...there's nothing there," said Paul, unsure of what to make of the situation. It was becoming harder to think straight, especially with his growing erection.
And, looking at Paula, Paul judged that she was feeling the same.
"Wait...no, this...this is impossible," said Paula, struggling to think straight. Nothing was making sense anymore as she eyed her husband, mate, husband...mate. Without thinking, Paula licked Paul's face affectionately, causing him to reel back slightly as further sensations came over him.
"Paula...why did you...?" started Paul, feeling a tingling in his face. He could feel his face beginning to push out, stretching longer as it began to crank out inch by inch. He barely managed to keep his glasses on his face as the changes continued. It felt rather painful as Paul's teeth began to fit well within his mouth as his pseudo-muzzle finished forming.
And as Paul looked around again, he noticed three small cubs eyeing the pair.
"Hello father," said Autumn, her smile genuine...even if it was hiding deviance.
"Welcome home daddy" replied Misty, nodding in agreement.
"I look forward to seeing you soon" finished Wayne, his enthusiasm almost contagious.
As Paul stared at his cubs, he could feel his mind almost drifting away.
He felt adrift...as if floating. Paul looked around, feeling a different yet oddly familiar perspective. He looked down, noticing her front paws with sharp claws. They were coated in brown fur, His nose picking up a nearby scent which reassured the father bear.
"Paula?" wondered Paul, a tail wagging slightly as he tried to track the scent through his large black nose.
It didn't take long for him to notice his mate approaching him. She was gorgeous, her lush, brown, fur making him feel extremely attracted to her. He managed to eye his cubs, 'smiling' as everything just seemed right.
And as Paula licked his face affectionately, it was apparent that he couldn't feel any happier at that moment.
It was clear that the pair had achieved Paradise.
"I...I see them...our cubs" said Paul, turning back to stare at Paula. She smiled back at her mate, struggling to think straight as her arousal was getting the better of her.
It was time to make some cubs...time to create Paradise.
The pair, still having enough human coherency, looked lovingly at each other. While becoming bears felt bittersweet to the pair...the future seemed very, very bright.
Even if they would be unable to comprehend it.
"Don't worry...I'll be there for you" said Paul, moving his wife in closer. He smiled at her, knowing that this might be the last thing he said to her. "Just like I'll always be" continued Paul, noticing his wife's tears of joy as they moved closer together.
"I love you" finished Paul, about to plant a kiss on his wife...for possibly the last time.
"I...I love you too" replied Paula, the pair closing their kiss as the cubs pressed their paws against the ground, signalling for their final changes to commence.
Paul and Paula didn't release their embrace as they felt the changes washing over them. They felt their muzzles growing out, pushing further and further, inch by inch until they reached their full bear size. The pair continued to hold their kiss for as long as they could, trying their best to shut out the outside world.
The pair each felt a tingling at the base of their spines, a small stubby tail popping out which wagged in anticipation. They were coated in the brown fur which had covered the pair as the pair continued to hold their kiss. The tails seemed to wag affectionately. It was as if their tails were responding to their love for one another.
Their ears began to tingle, becoming pointed as they enlarged somewhat. They moved towards the top of their heads, growing small brown hair at their tips. They could feel a tingling commencing across their bodies as the fur began to spread up towards their heads. Paula barely paid any mind as her precious mohawk shed from her head, being replaced by brown, grizzly bear fur as Paul's hair shed some before blending in with the rest of his fur.
Soon, the pair were almost physically identical to bears. However, the final changes were about to commence, as evident by the tingling across their arms and legs.
The pair firmly held their embrace even as their arms began to shift, becoming far less flexible. They felt compressed, shifting into fine forelegs of the bears they were becoming as the pair tried to hold their embrace...even if it was becoming weaker.
However, they could feel their legs shaking, struggling to hold them upright as they shuddered. The shifting of muscles, the broadening of others, and the shifting of bones and joints were causing the pair to struggle to stand as they finally fell.
The pair's embrace was broken as the pair landed on all fours. They glanced at each other, their human memories fading by the second as, by some miracle, Paul's glasses had managed to stay on.
Paula licked Paul affectionately, who returned in kind as the cubs...their cubs looked onwards with anticipation. The pair glanced towards one another, Paula roaring as she was no longer capable of human speech.
Paul roared in understanding, feeling a need in his loins as he watched Paula present herself to him. She wafted her tail invitingly, Paul no longer able to resist his mate, who was very well, in season.
Before he did so, Paul took one last look at his cubs. They seemed to be nodding in approval. Their expressions gave Paul the impression that they were cheering him on. It was all the encouragement Paul needed now...especially as his human intellect was fading away more and more.
Therefore, Paul quickly moved towards his wife, mounting her as he began to thrust. He roared with anticipation, a sudden wave of pleasure coming over him. Paula roared in kind...as if encouraging Paul to thrust faster...harder.
Paul was all too happy to oblige, roaring eagerly as he began to pick up the pace. As the pair continued their mating, they failed to notice the cubs beginning to fade away. They began to regress, reducing themselves to wisps which then fired themselves into Paula, looking forward to seeing the world once more when they were born.
Paula roared eagerly at Paul once more, excited to be on the brink of climax...to be on the brink of Paradise. Paul nodded in agreement, his glasses finally falling from his face as his eyes darkened over, sealing his mental changes.
The glasses dissolved away, fading into nothing before they even hit the ground.
Finally, the pair climaxed, Paula roaring with eagerness as her eyes also darkened over, sealing her mental changes. She could already feel her cubs growing inside of her, making her 'smile' as Paula felt optimistic about the future.
A future which would surely be Paradise.
As Paul dismounted, the pair looked at each other once more. Paula licked her mate's face affectionately, Paul 'smiling' as he returned the favour. The pair noticed a distant flash, looking upwards towards a strange contraption.
The pair's attention to the camera was quickly lost as they stared at one another, their energy drained from their gruelling transformation. They looked around, noticing a nearby entryway within the large mountain-like prop.
They nodded in agreement as they briefly snuggled together. The pair still found comfort in one another despite no longer remembering their humanity. They nuzzled their nose together, binding their love as mates forevermore.
Paul and Paula then walked towards the cave, intending to get some well-deserved rest after their ordeal...and to move on to a new future.
A future which would certainly be Paradise.
Epilogue:
"And that's...a wrap," said Rebecca, smiling with satisfaction as she glanced towards the photo she had captured of the newfound bears. "Hopefully she'll raise her cubs better than her son" continued Rebecca, unable to resist a sinister chuckle as she pressed the pink button once more.
"Which shouldn't be too hard" finished Rebecca, smiling wickedly as she couldn't help but laugh. She heard the photo beginning to print from the distant printer as she leaned back in her chair. Rebecca glanced up at the ceiling, sighing irritably...knowing that the job wasn't yet done.
"Tying up these loose ends is proving to be a bitch" said Rebecca irritably, shaking her head as she leant back forward. "I mean...was transforming these children really that valuable? Did I screw up just in an attempt to get back at our Landlord?" thought Rebecca, her mind racing through the possible scenarios.
However, Rebecca quickly shook her head, dismissing the train of thought entirely.
"No, it's their fault for not tying up loose ends properly," said Rebecca, ignoring any thoughts within her mind to the contrary. "Particularly Elizabeth...that volatile little gremlin" continued Rebecca, feeling her anger grow at Elizabeth's carelessness. "I mean, she has transformed people out for petty slights and refused to listen to orders" finished Rebecca, the irony of those same factors applying to Rebecca being completely lost on her.
"No, Elizabeth needs to be reminded who's in charge when all this is said and done" thought Rebecca firmly, smiling as she began to imagine what she would do.
Her thoughts were interrupted as the printer noise ceased, snapping Rebecca from her trance as she stood up from her chair. She walked over to the printer, picking up the photo as she admired it.
"Perfect...now to add it to the Shrine," said Rebecca, walking over to a distant wall. She eyed the numeric keypad on the wall as she joyously inputted the code. "2...0...1...7..." mumbled Rebecca, satisfied as she heard the wall beginning to open up.
The wall whirred to life, the sides separating as they revealed a hidden wall. This wall was coated in the same grey paint as the rest of the Security Room. It was relatively plain compared to the rest of the infrastructure within the Security Room which, in a way, made it feel eerier.
The many photographs littering this hidden wall, on the other hand, felt almost at home amongst the rest of the Security Room. They were organised with great care, resembling a pyramid as each group of photos was connected to another, then another and another. They were linked together with red string, all eventually tracing back to the peak of the pyramid, revealing the true one in control.
The Puppet Master of the New Zoo.
"I do love this part of my job," said Rebecca, breathing calmly as she held the pictures of Paul, Paula and their new bear forms. She looked around curiously, wondering where they should stand in her little hierarchy of control.
"Here seems good...right next to the camels," thought Rebecca, her smile widening as she pinned the photographs into place. She took the red string, snapping a segment off as she prepared to link the new bears to the rest of her hierarchy. It didn't take long to add them to the shrine as Rebecca felt content with her work. She hummed a short melody, the same melody her father used to sing to her.
Back when she was a little girl, with big, big ambitions.
"I certainly love my growing collection," said Rebecca, unable to hold her excitement as she stood back, glancing at her shrine. It certainly looked promising as each group of photos felt like another step towards completing her dream...her masterpiece.
It was at this moment that she glanced towards the top of her shrine where a picture of Rebecca herself stood...next to a picture of an Amur Leopard. Pictures of the Panthers, Lions & their sole Leopard were slightly below as Rebecca couldn't help but marvel at her hopefully, expanding collection of big cats.
"And I'll stand above them all," said Rebecca, chuckling once more as she admired her shrine once more. As she drifted her eyes across the various photos, she noticed the photo of Jacob alongside his new gorilla form. Her smile widened wickedly, distant memories flooding back to her mind.
"Guess this is payback for you throwing me out of the grocery store...and consequently getting me blacklisted," said Rebecca, feeling irritated about the situation. Especially since it meant that Elizabeth was now tasked with the shopping.
Although, surprisingly, Elizabeth had taken to the job quite well.
Rebecca's curiosity had now peaked, unable to take her mind off the events back at the grocery store. As she thought back to the events of the day, she wondered if Jacob...or would it now be Coconut? would've stopped her if he knew what was coming to him.
It was two months ago. Rebecca was just minding her own business, doing her grocery shopping when some clumsy teenage girl accidentally bumped into her.
This had caused Rebecca to momentarily drop her shopping as she turned to glare at the girl responsible. Rebecca noticed her twin blond pigtails, pink short-sleeved shirt, white shorts and trainers. The nervous, almost pitiful look in her brown eyes had only served to irritate Rebecca further.
"Oh please...her shyness act was just that...an act," thought Rebecca, becoming irritated once more. "I mean seriously, who was she trying to fool?" wondered Rebecca, recalling how the girl was even unwilling to make eye contact.
Although that could also have been attributed to Rebecca berating the girl for her error.
Rebecca barely had time to notice as Jacob had approached her. He had calmly asked her to calm down which had only served to make Rebecca louder. Before Rebecca could react, she had been asked to leave.
And, as Rebecca found out the next time she went, she had been blacklisted from the establishment.
"The nerve of Jacob...telling me to leave" thought Rebecca, her smile widening in satisfaction. It had been easy to lure him here, add him to the Zoo. "To think his fate could've been avoided...if I was just allowed to shop like any ordinary woman" continued Rebecca, shaking her head as the thought began to fade from her mind.
"Although, I suppose Coconut is now atoning for his wrongdoing" finished Rebecca, recalling the girl that had bumped into her.
"And soon...it'll be her turn," said Rebecca, knowing full well who would be a future target...a future addition to the Zoo, her Zoo.
Just as soon as all these loose ends were tied up...then they'd be back on track.
