Charlotte through the stone archways into the New Zoo. She was feeling rather nervous as she wandered through the Main Hallway, observing the animals as she went.
"In hindsight, maybe transforming those children and their teacher wasn't such a good idea" she thought as she looked through the enclosures. "Who knew how risky it would be, especially with our Landlord refusing to assist us" continued Charlotte, feeling a sense of frustration.
"The nerve...I thought we were all in this together" mumbled Charlotte angrily. She felt her anger only begin to grow before she stopped herself. Knowing how explosive her anger could be, she slowly breathed out, calming herself as regret filled her being.
"Was it really worth it? Is getting in Rebecca's good graces really worth abandoning my best friend?" thought Charlotte.
Charlotte felt conflicted. She knew that she was partially responsible for their predicament but had allowed Elizabeth, her best friend to take the fall. She could only hope that Elizabeth didn't take it too personally.
"Who knows what could happen?" mumbled Charlotte as she began to reflect on recent events. She noticed that fractures had begun to emerge in her and Elizabeth's friendship and she was scared to lose her best friend.
She stopped outside the Giraffe enclosure as she noticed the giraffe formerly known as Jason was currently munching on leaves in the enclosure. She smiled softly as she watched the giraffe stared at her momentarily before returning to his meal.
"I can't really blame Elizabeth for what she did to Jason" said Charlotte as she continued to watch the giraffe continue to eat, as if without a care in the world. "After all, I messed up just as badly with the rhinos" she continued as she recalled an incident from last night.
The increasing controversial media coverage over the missing children was beginning to cause problems at home. Rebecca had told them that someone had come to investigate the Zoo, she guessed in regards to one of the missing children. Fortunately, they had been dealt with, being a new addition to the seal enclosure which Charlotte had been informed to check up on.
"To be fair, it sounds like Rebecca jumped the gun on that one" wondered Charlotte as she recalled that Rebecca never gave a direct answer confirming their suspicions. "I wonder why she is only directing anger towards Elizabeth for this, the blatant favouritism does make me feel rather nervous."
Charlotte snapped out of her thoughts as she noticed she was still in front of the giraffe enclosure, noticing the enclosure seemed rather small for just one giraffe as she decided to give her farewells to Jason.
"See you around Jason. I'll see about getting you a mate in the near future" mused Charlotte. Jason was still obviously munching on leaves as he noticed Charlotte depart.
Charlotte continued to walk down the enclosures, examining the contents of each. She checked the list on her checklist, making sure that they were consistent with each other. She noted that many of the new female animals looked like they were close to expecting young.
"Good to see the reproduction appears to have no complications" said Charlotte, smiling for a moment as she browsed her checklist. The next one was the seal enclosure. "Might as well go and see our newest resident. See if Rebecca was exaggerating."
Soon, Charlotte arrived at the seal enclosure as she looked within. She immediately spotted the new resident as it turned to look at her. Charlotte stared in wonder as she observed the beast.
"Well...gotta say Rebecca's description doesn't do him justice. Wonder why he became an Elephant Seal though" said Charlotte as she looked through her checklist a little, her expression becoming skeptical. "Based on my notes, the magic shouldn't have acted in this manner" continued Charlotte as she noticed some of the other seals looking at her. However, most of them seemed to become immediately bored once they recognised that the person wasn't Elizabeth.
"I do agree, they need moving however. I'll continue to look around, see if there's another enclosure we can move them to" concluded Charlotte as she turned to leave the enclosure. As she began to depart, a sudden roar startled her as she turned back.
Charlotte found herself staring at the elephant seal once more. "Wait...did he just recognise me?" thought Charlotte as she stood uneasy for a moment, feeling butterflies in her stomach as she watched the elephant seal depart, heading deeper into its enclosure.
"What was that all about?" wondered Charlotte as she departed from the Main Hallway, trying to get the experience she had off her mind as she arrived at the Outside Section.
As she walked around the Outside Section, she noticed a lot of empty enclosures.
"I guess we should add more animals back here. It seems rather dead at the moment" said Charlotte as she looked into the enclosure of one of the few residents.
She eyed the polar bear formerly known as Bennett as he appeared to be currently taking a cold bath. He seemed rather bored and possibly frustrated as Charlotte made a note next to his file.
'Male seems rather bored, could possibly benefit from company.'
"Surely, Elizabeth would like to add another. This is her area of preference after all" thought Charlotte as she found herself thinking towards her area of preference.
"The Petting Zoo is still rather small. I would like it if we could focus on that point in the near future" said Charlotte as she imagined for a brief moment what it would look like when full. The thought brought a wide smile to her face as she wandered around the rest of the Outside Section.
Eventually, Charlotte found herself outside a wide empty enclosure, It had a large body of water and what appeared to be a few rocks.
"This looks promising, could very easily repurpose this into the new seal enclosure" mumbled Charlotte as her mind moved onto the next issue.
Moving the group into it.
"I think we'll need Elizabeth for that. They definitely seem to listen to her. Maybe...if she does cooperate, she can get back in Rebecca's good graces" thought Charlotte, although from all the years she knew Elizabeth, her simply cooperating was considerable wishful thinking.
Charlotte heard her watch beeping as she looked down, realising what time it was. She began to walk back inside, heading into the Main Hallway as she progressed towards the Office, she expected paperwork would need filling out, which was another of Charlotte's specialities.
As she got closer to the Office, she heard a noise...it sounded almost like talking. It became clearer and clearer as Charlotte stood still, indicating that some was inside the Zoo.
"Wait, why is someone here?" wondered Charlotte as she opted to investigate. She began to head towards the origin of the sound, curious as to who was in the Zoo.
Earlier That Day:
Judas and Eliza walked under the stone archways of the New Zoo, determined to get answers.
Their child Julie had recently gone on a school trip at this zoo before mysteriously disappearing. They were concerned at the disappearance of their child and decided to investigate.
They had also tried to get in touch with some of the other parents, people they knew from association with Julie. They had gotten a response from Paul and Paula as they planned to conduct an investigation. They had decided to work together.
"It's a good job we decided to combine our efforts" mumbled Judas quietly as Eliza looked at him, nodding her head in understanding.
"Agreed, I just wished they could show up at the appointed time" fumed Eliza as she headed deeper into the Main Hallway.
"Eliza...I think we should wait," said Judas, a panicky tone in his voice as Eliza turned to face him.
"Judas..."started Eliza, wondering how to approach this to her husband. "This could be our only chance in finding Julie. We have to take it" finished Eliza as Judas nodded in understanding, his panic fading slightly as he followed his wife.
Between the pair, Eliza was definitely the dominant one in their relationship. Her light ginger hair hung freely down her back. Her well-muscled physique indicated years of weight-lifting, running and exercising as she wore a simple pair of blue jeans and yellow tank top, as if showing off her muscles to anyone who would notice.
In contrast, Judas was relatively recessive. He was rather withdrawn, keeping to himself in matters other than his wife and daughter, letting his wife do the talking. His black hair hung over one of his eyes as the simple black shirt and jeans he wore barely clung to his thinner body.
Eliza grabbed a map from the nearby map stand and showed it to Judas. They both looked at the variety of animals which would eventually be in the Zoo once it's enclosures were full.
"They were definitely ambitious," said Judas softly as Eliza nodded. "I agree, such a shame that the Zoo may never open after all this effort put into it" agreed Eliza as the pair wandered further down the Main Hallway.
Eventually, they stopped outside the seal enclosure at the end of the Hallway. They took particular attention to the elephant seal which was within the enclosure.
"Intriguing...isn't it?" wondered Eliza, not noticing they were eying their former friend, Noah.
"Definitely but...doesn't this enclosure seem a bit small?" replied Judas, eying the seal.
"I'll have you know we intend to move the seals elsewhere" said a mysterious voice as the pair turned around, Eliza in a slight panic and Judas, much more so.
They noticed the woman who had called out to them, she had red hair and was of medium height as she walked towards them.
"What are you doing here?!" demanded Charlotte, glaring at the pair the best she could. Noticing Eliza's physique did make her falter for a temporary moment.
"We're here to look for our child!" responded Eliza, Judas stunned into silence as the pair began to get into an incomprehensible shouting match. He noticed Eliza's hands clenching into fists, he feared that this was about to get physical.
"Wait...who are you?" asked Judas, the suddenness of the statement silencing the pair as Charlotte turned to face Judas.
"My name is Charlotte and I'm one of the managers of this Zoo'' stated Charlotte, glaring at Eliza for a moment before it subsided. "Despite our...less than pleasant introductions, you can look around the enclosures while I'm checking up on them" finished Charlotte.
The pair turned to face each other, silently communicating to take advantage of this offer.
"We accept your offer" said Eliza, smiling as Charlotte turned away, resisting the urge to laugh. Eliza was convinced she had fooled her but she would soon learn otherside.
The group walked into the Outside section of the Zoo as Judas and Eliza looked around. They noted that there were many more empty enclosures and the Zoo had a lot more animals to acquire before it had any chance of opening to the public.
"Why don't you take a look at this enclosure?" offered Charlotte as the pair walked with her, looking inside the enclosure from the overhead viewing platform they were food on.
The enclosure had soft white sand covering the bottom of it, the pair imagined this was done to emulate the feeling of a desert. They also noticed clusters of plants ranging from grains, wheat and oats which would provide food.
In addition, they noticed a small watering hole which the animal would use to drink some water if need be. A prop pyramid was in the background which they chuckled slightly at, feeling it was quite odd but appropriate.
"May I ask...which enclosure is this?" asked Eliza, staring at Charlotte who smiled softly at the question.
"Oh...just the camel enclosure" responded Charlotte, a hint of joy in her voice. "I get the feeling we will be adding them very soon" she finished, emphasizing the last words as she felt the magic coarse from her voice as she noticed an immediate change in expression from Eliza.
Eliza had begun to feel uncomfortable under her clothes. She hid it the best she could as she wondered what was causing her skin to itch. She scratched mindlessly at the area as she tried to make it go away. The itch only increased further as it was driving her crazy.
Judas on the other hand, was already scratching intensely as the discomfort being felt by his wife was reciprocated in himself. He could already feel his legs stiffen as the pair turned to face Charlotte.
"Something wrong?" asked Charlotte innocently.
"We...we don't feel well" replied the pair as Charlotte feigned an expression of concern.
"Perhaps you need to cool down" said Charlotte as she began to walk away. "Follow me" she said, although from her tone, it sounded more like a command. The pair began to move, noticing their legs felt stiffer. Nevertheless, they followed Charlotte as she headed elsewhere in the Zoo.
The pair continued to feel uneasy as Charlotte guided the pair. They soon stopped at a nearby enclosure. "Sorry...I just need to check on one last thing" explained Charlotte as she walked inside.
The pair continued to feel uneasy as they felt a cramping in their feet. Before they had a chance to examine it further however, they heard a sound coming from the enclosure Charlotte had just entered.
"What do you think she's doing?" wondered Judas as Eliza's expression changed to anger.
"I don't know but I'm going to give her a piece of my mind!" shouted Eliza as she entered the enclosure, finding walking more difficult than earlier as Judas followed her.
The sudden light as they entered blinded them so they didn't notice Charlotte leaving and closing the door behind her
The pair didn't realise they had been locked in the enclosure until they heard a 'click' emanating from the door. They looked around quickly, realising that they had been locked inside the Camel enclosure upon seeing the prop pyramid.
"Hey...what are you doing?" said Judas uneasily as he began to feel greater discomfort than earlier. He looked around, noticing the nearby heat lamps, concluding them as the cause for his increase in discomfort.
"Let US out!" shouted Eliza, banging on the door as she tried to force it open. Unfortunately, the door held firm as the pair found themselves trapped. There wasn't even a handle on the side of the door they were facing.
"Why would I let an animal out of its enclosure?" wondered Charlotte out loud as the pair turned to face her.
"Wha...what are you talking about?" asked Judas, a sense of rising panic in his voice as Charlotte smiled once more. However, this smile was far more malicious as she seemed almost excited at what she was about to say.
"I mean...you're going to become the new animals for this enclosure" responded Charlotte as the pair were shocked into silence, only feeling the sensations increase in their feet from earlier.
The pair looked down as they tried to walk towards the door but found their feet to be uncooperative. Their shoes burst off as their new feet emerged. They noticed their new feet as they stared at them.
Their toes had begun merging into each other, forming a new set of limbs which they were beginning to have difficulty balancing on. Soon their feet had two toes sticking out and were much larger. They seemed to be covered in fur, making the pair realise the origin for their itch earlier on.
"Wait, are those camel feet?" panicked Eliza.
"They sure are," replied Charlotte with a smile. "Now you two behave. I'll be back soon to get rid of your clothes and make sure you're fed." She waved as she turned away, leaving the pair to their fate.
The pair watched her go, they considered scaling the wall but how would that work? They could barely walk let alone run. They wouldn't get there in time as they began to realise what their fate likely was going to be.
Their thoughts on climbing the wall seemed to focus the changes in their hands. The fingers and toes had merged together into lumps and began to change closer to table legs than hands and feet. They continued to stare in awe as her hand and feet continued to change. Eventually, their limbs had swelled up to match their legs with two small toes sticking out of each one.
"No...all those years' work" cried Eliza internally as she noticed her muscles had faded from arms and legs, reducing them to little more than sticks to support her eventual new body.
The pair began to feel themselves being pushed forward. They soon landed on their hands and feet as they felt something shift in their back, bounding them to all fours. Eliza tried to get to her feet in defiance but this accomplished little of value as the sensations seemed to shift, affecting their bodies now as they felt a pulling sensation within their backs.
The pair realised their humps were forming as they felt a pushing against their clothes. They grunted in pain which was beginning to deepen, become more beastial, more animal as their humps broke free of the confinement of their clothing, causing it to rip as the pair were almost reduced to nudity.
The pair then felt a rumbling which seemed to intensify as it focussed on their bodies.Judas felt himself growing larger and fatter as his jeans were eventually pushed to their limits and began to tear before finally snapping on the ground, leaving Judas completely naked. Fortunately, the spreading fur had preserved Juda's modesty as he realized that his physical body...was very much a camels.
Meanwhile, Eliza felt bloated as she, like her husband earlier, felt her size increase to the sides causing her to become fatter and larger. Her jeans finally snapped and fell to the ground, leaving her naked like her husband. She felt her anus and vagina move, resting near her rear as she realized what was likely to happen next.
The pair began to feel a sensation near their rears. They grunted as they clenched their teeth until with a sudden 'pop' the pressure was released. Their relief was short lived however as they felt a new foreign limb behind them.
Eliza felt her new tail emerge which she moved about, intrigued but horrified at the sensation she felt. She moved it experimentally and felt intrigued as the newfound muscle responded to her thoughts. Judas felt the same as he stared at his wife. From the neck down, they were now complete camels as the pair of them now had a lush coat of brown fur to cover their bodies.
"I'm scared Eliza, what do you think happened to Julie?" said Judas fearfully as Eliza came up to him. It took her a few attempts but she finally managed to kiss him.
"We can only hope she's fine" responded Eliza. "Let's just hope Paul and Paula have better success" thought Eliza.
The pair looked at each other in despair as they then felt the final changes begin. Their necks stretched out, becoming proper sized for the camels they were about to be, easily becoming much longer than their previous necks. They also felt their faces stretch out, their nostrils increased in size to allow a much greater intake of air to support their new bodies. Their faces pushed out into muzzles as their physical changes completed themselves.
The pair managed to hold on for a short moment, grunting out in defiance as the changes migrated inwards, beginning to affect their minds. However, their resistance soon crumbled as their eyes darkened, sealing their change as they submitted to their new animal instincts.
The new dromedary camels grunted at each other for a moment before heading towards the water hole. They each proceeded to bend their long necks down and began to drink, gathering stock for their new humps.
Charlotte returned and saw the new camels drinking. She ticked camel off the list on her checklist and grinned. She felt a new wave of confidence as she watched the camels.
"I'm glad that worked, don't know what I would have done otherwise" thought Charlotte, her nerves calming as she realised she got lucky today. Rebecca had limited just how much magic that she and Elizabeth could know. Fortunately, Charlotte had managed to read ahead briefly.
"I suppose we'll be having to tie up all the loose ends now" groaned Charlotte. "No doubt they'll all be coming to investigate now" she continued. "I guess me and Rebecca will have to focus on this. Can't risk Elizabeth having another one of her tantrums" she figured as she looked down the camels once more, proud of herself for dealing with this particular loose end.
Charlotte left the camels to their own devices, more parents would be showing up eventually and she needed to prepare.
