It was proving to be another typical morning at the New Zoo as Rebecca sat in the Security Room.
Rebecca had decided to come to the New Zoo today following the disappearance of the 'Diana' tape. She needed to investigate the cheetah, confirm whether they had kept their memories...and the potential knock-on effect.
"So...you could still be in there after all?" thought Rebecca. She eyed the monitors curiously, keeping them focused on the cheetah enclosure. She noticed the cheetah in question appeared to be stretching and minding its own business.
It then suddenly turned its head to face a camera before running off into its enclosure.
"You can't hide from me Diana," said Rebecca tauntingly, a small smile adorning her face as another camera focused on the cheetah once more. It dashed off once again, trying to find cover within its enclosure from the camera's watchful gaze.
Rebecca pushed a button as a few more cameras adjusted their position. Within moments, they soon covered the cheetah enclosure, robbing the cheetah of any blind spots.
And, from the look in its eyes, the cheetah seemed to realise this.
"Well, she's definitely in there," said Rebecca, smiling in satisfaction at her idea succeeding. At least now Rebecca could accommodate the factor of Diana's memories into her plans...or snuff them out if she desired.
"No...I can't do that" thought Rebecca, feeling distant memories wash over her. However, before they could distract her, Rebecca forced them back. It was then she opted to move on to the next item on her itinerary for today.
"Time to check the vandal's footage...again," thought Rebecca, turning a nearby dial as the footage on the monitors began to rewind before her eyes. As she waited, she looked around aimlessly. Rebecca noticed her rear...and what had happened only days before.
"I still wonder what happened?" thought Rebecca, recalling how she had cycled through various books within the privacy of her bedroom. However, her research hadn't managed to give her any leads to even begin with whatever had affected her.
And the nights locked up in her room had caused Charlotte and Elizabeth to become suspicious.
"It doesn't matter...I need to keep this hidden until I find a cure" said Rebecca, shaking her head.
It was at that point Rebecca looked up at the monitors, noticing they had arrived on the night in question. She focused once again on the monitors, eyeing them intently as she pressed a green button, allowing the footage to play.
"Ok...so what's this strange glow?" wondered Rebecca, watching as she noticed the Zoo's magic seemed to be taking on a mind of its own. She watched as Georgia was coaxed into the Leopard enclosure as she failed to come to any particular conclusion.
"Can I be certain that it's not been tampered with?" thought Rebecca, placing her hand to her chin. She considered the possibility...could Elizabeth or Charlotte be trying to pull one over her? Were they trying to tamper with the Zoo's magic themselves?
Could she even trust either of them?
"No...I can't," said Rebecca sharply, gritting her teeth. The deleted footage regarding Anastasia as their new crocodile flashed across her mind as she cemented her next decision. It was then she pressed a purple button on the console. She then looked upwards as she noticed a purple text box on the monitors.
'FOOTAGE ENCRYPTED, PLEASE ENTER PASSWORD'
"Ok, now what could they never hope to guess?" thought Rebecca, thinking through possibilities before smiling as one crossed her mind. She typed into the small keyboard on the console, inputting her chosen password as the footage was now locked.
"Now that should stop our little rat while I investigate this situation," said Rebecca, beginning to feel a tingle near her rear. Before it could emerge, however, Rebecca was already on it, using her magic to wash over the region.
"Ok...so I can conclude that strong emotions seem to let it out" mused Rebecca, days of researching her newfound condition playing back in her mind. With that, she sighed and placed her head in her hands. She didn't need this with everything else going on.
"Forget it," said Rebecca simply, shaking her head as she pressed a few buttons on the console. The cameras shifted once again, beginning to focus on the camera enclosure as Rebecca smiled warmly. "Let's see what Caitlyn's up to" finished Rebecca, staring into the monitors which had now focused on their recently added tiger.
Rebecca watched as she saw Caitlyn wandering throughout the enclosure, the glee and excitement obvious by her movements. It still all seemed so new, so vibrant to Caitlyn who was clearly excited in her new form.
"It's glad to see she enjoys her new form," said Rebecca, her smile widening. She was really growing fond of Caitlyn as the pair had bonded magnificently since acquiring her a fortnight ago.
"Still...I wonder if she'd want any company" thought Rebecca, recalling how Caitlyn had mentioned her boyfriend. The name escaped Rebecca's mind for the time being but she had already decided who would join Caitlyn when they interned for the Zoo.
Speaking of interns, this caused Rebecca's mind to shift back to another one of her priorities. Another intern from the local high school was due today for some volunteering experience. It was then Rebecca noticed someone near the stone archways which formed the entrance via the security cameras.
"Ah...so they have arrived?" wondered Rebecca, a smile adorning her face as she began to look forward to expanding her collection. "I guess I should go and introduce myself," thought Rebecca, getting up from the chair she was sitting on.
Rebecca then walked out of the Security Room, preparing herself to meet the new recruit.
Elsewhere:
It was still rather early in the morning as Travis looked up at the large stone archways that formed the entrance of the 'New Zoo.' He pressed a button on his CD player, ceasing the sound of the recent CD he had purchased as he focused his eyes on the zoo entrance. He felt a sense of unease come over him as he remembered how several of his classmates had disappeared following their interviews.
"I...I just wonder what happened to Caitlyn?" thought Travis, his emotions clouding his mind as he felt a sense of longing come over him once again. "Caitlyn, where did you go?" wondered Travis, feeling further depressed before remembering why he was here.
"Man I ain't a fan of animals but...I gotta find Caitlyn..." thought Travis, swallowing his unease as he began to walk forward. He wandered under the stone archways of the New Zoo as he entered the Main Hallway. He glanced around absentmindedly, not taking any particular interest in the surrounding animals.
"After all...she's the only girl for me" mumbled Travis as he continued to walk through the Main Hallway. As he did, he began to feel rather uneasy once more. The mugginess of the Main Hallway was causing Travis to feel rather warm as he stroked his brown hair. It was becoming further unbearable as he was sweltering in his jacket.
"Sure is warm" thought Travis, unzipping his jacket as he removed it. He carried it under his arm as he kept his sunglasses on. He did this primarily because he thought they seemed cool despite the impracticability of wearing them indoors.
It was at that point that, currently unknown to Travis, his life was about to change forever!
Coincidentally, Travis was currently standing outside of the Tiger enclosure of the New Zoo. Even more coincidentally, at that very moment, Caitlyn was lying on one of the many rocks within her enclosure.
It was as if something magical was about to reunite the pair at last.
Currently, Caitlyn was staring outside blankly as her mind was deep in thought.
"I guess I'm not surprised that Anna's joined the Zoo," thought Caitlyn, recalling one of her recent conversations with Rebecca. She smiled as she noticed that Rebecca seemed to be taking a liking to her. It was as if they were becoming...friends.
"Wait...aren't we already friends?" wondered Caitlyn internally, trying to snuff out the small voice of doubt in her conscience. "After all, Rebecca changed me...into my true self," thought Caitlyn, wincing at the thought, remembering her discarded humanity like a bad dream.
"Still, being a rabbit will certainly suit Anna...given she's always been a bit of a social butterfly," thought Caitlyn, smiling the best she could. "Even overbearingly so" finished Caitlyn, smiling darkly internally. "After all, she'll have plenty of time to interact with a bunch of children '' continued Caitlyn, feeling a sense of pride and satisfaction. It almost made Caitlyn feel that Anna was better off for losing her memories. After all, the containment and forced affection would have, eventually, driven Anna crazy anyway,
A newcomer at the Tiger enclosure caused Caitlyn to suddenly snap out of her train of thought. She looked towards the front of her enclosure, getting off the rock she had been resting on to try and get a closer look.
Her heart skipped a beat as she recognised the newcomer.
"Travis!?" thought Caitlyn, her heart skipping a beat once more as her boyfriend was eyeing her. "What is he doing here?" wondered Caitlyn, curiosity filling her as she eyed him intently. Travis stared back, getting into a staring contest with the curious feline.
It was at that point a green glow formed nearby. It stayed high as if observing Travis and Caitlyn below. It sensed that the cheetah opposite was walking up curiously as well as a plan began to form within it.
It flashed a few times, focusing on Travis as it attempted to influence him.
"Woah look at that cheetah," said Travis, suddenly losing interest in Caitlyn as he turned around to face the opposite enclosure. He removed his sunglasses, hoping to get a better look as the cheetah walked further forward. Something about it felt odd...mesmerising.
Caitlyn on the other hand was horrified. She roared, trying to get her boyfriend's attention to no avail.
"Who does this cat think she is?! Trying to steal my crush?" thought Caitlyn, genuine anger swelling within her as she noticed the cheetah seemed to be 'smiling at Travis's presence.
Travis meanwhile, had only found the cheetah further enticing as he felt an increasing need to join her. The fact that he knew the cheetah was a female was lost on Travis as he appeared to be in...some kind of trance.
In contrast to what Caitlyn was thinking, Diana was actually mortified at her current situation. She noticed Caitlyn still roaring, banging herself against her enclosure in a desperate plea to get her boyfriend's attention.
Diana took her focus away from Caitlyn for a moment, glancing at Travis. She knew what was about to happen. After all, she had seen it enough times!
"Wait, does this mean...they know?" thought Diana, feeling her blood run cold as she was momentarily frozen in fear. Several questions ran through her mind as she became increasingly fearful.
"I thought I'd been sneaky enough, had they become suspicious since that girl from that night?" wondered Diana as a million different thoughts and possibilities invaded her mind. However, they all came back to a single question which the possible answer made Diana become paralysed by fear.
Had the Managers realised she still had her memories?
A sudden roar snapped Diana out of her inner turmoil. She noticed Caitlyn appeared enraged, continuing to bang herself against the enclosure to no avail. Diana couldn't understand anything Caitlyn was saying but her reaction told her everything she would need to know.
"She...she's in love," thought Diana, feeling increasing guilt as she noticed Travis was still giving her his undivided attention. Still...she felt an obligation to help the feline opposite...or at least reassure her.
"I'm...sorry, I don't want this as much as you do but we're all victims to the Managers and their Zoo and whatever they say or want, we have to comply," chirped Diana, feeling sorrowful at the situation.
Unfortunately, this was to no avail as Caitlyn continued to roar in rage and sadness, quieting down as if resigning herself to what was happening. She seemed so glum as the pair of felines had seemingly resigned themselves to their predicament.
It appeared as if Travis would be becoming a cheetah soon enough.
Thankfully for the pair, Rebecca wasn't far off. She had been observing the situation from a distance, curious to see how it would unfold.
"After all, this seems very similar to what happened to Georgia," thought Rebecca, having already noted Caitlyn's reaction. Whoever this was, they seemed important to her as Rebecca intended to nip this in the bud.
She walked forward, giving Caitlyn a look of assurance as she did so. She raised a hand, a soft green glow coming from it as Rebecca forced her will upon the Zoo once more, intent on taking back control.
The green glow could feel the newfound magic. It flashed once. It was as if recognising what, or more specifically, who was trying to interfere with its magic. Still...it couldn't afford a long battle...at least not yet.
With that, the green glow faded, allowing Rebecca to establish her control over the Zoo's magic once more.
Rebecca smiled as she noticed that Travis's senses seemed to be returning to him. She walked forward, holding her hand out with the intention of a handshake from the teenage boy.
"I take it you're the new intern?" asked Rebecca as she stared at Travis, her eyes appearing to pierce into him.
"Huh?" said Travis impulsively. He looked back at Rebecca, albeit awkwardly as he tried to recall what had happened only moments ago.
Surprisingly, he was coming up blank.
It was then Travis finally noticed the open handshake and, not wanting to embarrass himself further, quickly accepted the handshake. It was then he remembered that Rebecca had asked him a question and, from the expression she was giving him, she expected an answer.
"Yes," Travis blurted out quickly. He felt extremely awkward as Rebecca continued to stare at him quizzically. This only served to make Travis feel more awkward as he seemed to clam up, conversation becoming rather difficult.
As Travis froze up, Rebecca groaned inwardly. It was becoming increasingly clear that she would need to lead the conversation. She used a small bit of magic, knowing the spell she was casting would make Travis open up a bit...and ensure he was honest to boot.
"Would you like to tell me about yourself?" asked Rebecca, smiling warmly. She knew the spell would work its way through Travis soon enough. She could already see the small spike of confidence forming as Travis looked back at Rebecca.
Before he could stop himself, Travis blurted out "My name is Travis. I came to work here because I heard my friend Caitlyn applied here and I'm her boyfriend". He quickly covered his mouth at the last part, wishing he had kept that to himself.
Rebecca on the other hand felt her plan from earlier coming together as she smiled. She knew that he would fit in perfectly in the Tiger enclosure resulting in a new tiger for her and reuniting a pair of lovers.
"I think I have the perfect assignment for you, please follow me," said Rebecca as she began to walk towards the back door of the Tiger Enclosure. Travis followed, not wanting to embarrass himself further. He was so focused on Rebecca to notice that she shot a glare at the cheetah.
Diana looked at Rebecca, resisting the urge to stick her tongue out. However, she knew very well that would give her away if they didn't already know.
"I...I can only hope they don't" thought Diana, turning away as she headed deeper into her enclosure. At this point, Diana knew that the only thing she could do was play dumb and hope the Managers fell for it.
At the Tiger Enclosure:
Within a few short moments, Rebecca and Travis were outside the back door of the Tiger Enclosure. Rebecca turned back to face Travis, staring at him intently as she began to brief his assignment.
"You will be responsible for feeding the tiger and we will see where we go from there" explained Rebecca, content with Travis nodding in understanding. "Are you ready to begin?" asked Rebecca, her gaze not faltering as Travis stared at her rather sheepishly.
"Yes, I'm ready" replied Travis, smiling as Rebecca opened the back door. She ushered Travis inside, taking his jacket off him for safekeeping. As Travis walked into the enclosure, he looked around, marvelling at its beauty.
The enclosure was beautiful. Travis noticed the large trees which hung overhead with very thick branches, only allowing very little light to come through the sunroof. He noticed a waterfall that ran into a stream near a pile of craggy rocks that could be used by the tiger to lie on. He looked towards the stream, it would be a good source for the tiger to drink from and a place to bathe and occupy itself.
"Treat her nicely, she is a favourite of mine" stated Rebecca as she closed the door behind Travis. Travis eyed the enclosure curiously, noticing the tiger from earlier was still inside. As Travis felt an unusual sensation passing through him, he couldn't help but feel that the tiger was...familiar to him.
"Ok...this is strange" wondered Travis, noticing the tiger moving from its position on the rock. It was then it began to walk towards him, staring at him curiously. "Rebecca?" called out Travis, feeling increasingly nervous as the tiger got increasingly closer to him.
Unknown to Travis, Rebecca had already left. After ensuring her CCTV cameras were recording, she had moved to her hiding spot where she would remain until Travis had finished his changes.
Despite Travis's nervousness, he allowed the tiger to move closer to him. It seemed more...curious than anything as it smelt the meat in his hand. It was then Caitlyn began to eat the meat from her boyfriend's hand, smiling internally as she enjoyed the slow meal.
"Don't worry Travis...soon we'll be together again" thought Caitlyn, resisting the urge to hug her boyfriend. However, she stopped herself, fully aware that his current human form would make such a situation difficult. As Caitlyn had tenderly finished her meal, she began to lick the remaining juices off of Travis's hand.
"This isn't so bad, good girl" mumbled Travis, feeling rather calm at his current situation. The tiger seemed rather calm as it continued to lick his hand.
Travis could feel the unusual sensation from earlier begin to return as Caitlyn continued to give his hand a tongue bath. Despite his disliking of animals, Travis could help but smile as he felt a tingle begin to vibrate through his hand.
"Hm..my hand feels tingly..allergic perhaps?" thought Travis as he looked down at his hand awkwardly. He watched as thick pads began to develop on his palm, bulging up as his fingers thickened. His nails sunk into his changing hand, forming new claws as orange fur began to spread across his hand. Travis could only look on in surprise as his hand quickly became a tiger's paw.
"W..what the hell is this!?" shouted Travis, beginning to feel a sinking feeling inside him. He realised what was happening as the female tiger continued to eye him curiously.
"Wait...a female?" thought Travis, trying to work out where that thought came from as panic began to fill his being. His dislike of animals came back full force as he ran towards the door he came in.
Travis was eager to open the door...eager to escape. He didn't want to be an animal and worse...have people staring at him all day. He finally reached the door and began slamming on it full force.
Meanwhile, Caitlyn was eyeing Travis with a small sense of amusement. She moved slowly towards Travis as she was happy with the new tiger paw her boyfriend now had.
"And soon...the rest of him will match" thought Caitlyn, struggling to hold back her excitement.
Travis's efforts were all in vain as the door failed to budge against his brute force. It was then Travis considered using his still human hand.
However, before he could try anything, he felt a tingling sensation in it. Travis could only watch as his fingers thickened up like his other...paw. New pads developed as familiar orange fur was growing on his changing hand. His nails sunk into his newly developing paw, becoming sharp claws that would help him in his new life ahead.
For now, however, Travis could only stare at his new front paws with concern. Caitlyn on the other hand was watching with intrigue as she began to feel rather giddy.
"C'mon Travis...stop fighting it," thought Caitlyn, feeling rather excited at being reunited with her boyfriend...especially in their new forms.
Meanwhile, the sensations that were transforming Travis continued to spread through his body. He was struggling to stay upright as he fell to his knees. The strength in his legs seemed to be leaving him as he looked outside the enclosure.
"I...I don't want to be stuck in a cage with people staring at me" moaned Travis internally, feeling a great deal of dread and unease come over him. Thoughts of his humanity...his parents crossed his mind as Travis couldn't stop the tears moving down his face.
"Mom, Dad...I'm sorry" mumbled Travis burying his head in his knees. Caitlyn stared at her boyfriend, immediately becoming concerned at his despair as she quickened her pace slightly.
"Wait...Travis, are you ok?" growled Caitlyn. A small irritation built up in her as she noticed Travis paying her no notice. At that she stroked her muzzle across Travis's leg, getting his attention. Travis felt another sensation inside him and looked up from his knees, noticing the tiger's eyes as the feeling of familiarity returned to him once more.
A sudden realisation struck like lightning as Travis stared closer at the female tiger.
".....Ca...Caitlyn...?" asked Travis as he looked at the tiger sceptically.
"Yes, Travis...it's me" replied Caitlyn, staying at her boyfriend's side. She knew he needed her right now...and would need her to help him get acquainted with his new body later.
Travis was surprised at hearing the tiger before him speaking plain english...the fact it was in his girlfriend's voice made it all the stranger. He felt tingling sensations spreading across his body once more as he stared at Caitlyn.
"How did this happen to you?" asked Travis, feeling a growing sense of curiosity coming over him. Unknown to Travis, new instincts were beginning to emerge.
Caitlyn on the other hand had noticed this and realised that her time with Travis was growing shorter. Therefore, she decided to reassure him at least, hoping he would remember her when all was said and done.
"I don't know but it's really good Travis, you should really embrace what you are being given" growled Caitlyn, trying to encourage Travis to find the positives in his new life ahead.
Perhaps...perhaps that would be enough for him to remember her?
"I don't know, Caitlyn," said Travis uneasily, his expression uncomfortable as he felt something pushing underneath his t-shirt. He felt warm as the same orange fur that had been on his paws began to spread over his body. He panted as Caitlyn could vaguely see his new stripes forming on his back.
"It's all so different, we would have to deal with people staring at us all day, what about our future?" continued Travis, panting as the warmth of his growing fur was making him incredibly uncomfortable.
"I understand your concerns but believe me, it's better this way, the people won't be bothersome, the Zoo isn't even officially open yet" replied Caitlyn, hoping this would reassure Travis. It was then Caitlyn looked at Travis, getting her claws and swiping at his t-shirt, tearing the material to shreds.
This revealed his growing pelt as Caitlyn stared directly into Travis's eyes.
Finally, my future is with you and I wouldn't have it any other way" finished Caitlyn as she 'smiled', hoping that would be enough.
In actuality, it helped Travis's scattered mind begin to clear up. Coherent thoughts began to return as he began to settle down.
"I guess I don't have a choice," thought Travis, eyeing his girlfriend, his paws and his developing fur. "I guess whatever happens...we're together" continued Travis, a small smile coming to his face.
Caitlyn looked down at Travis and 'smiled'. It appeared that Travis had finally embraced the idea of being a tiger. Therefore, she hoped that Travis would be like her when he finished.
"Suppose we should finish you then?" said Caitlyn, pushing Travis down onto his back, pinning him. She stared at him eagerly, as if ready to get the changes going.
"I...I guess so" replied Travis, feeling a strange feeling in his body. The sensations began to feel rather peculiar as his body began to bulk up. His muscles swelled, feeling uncomfortable for the changing boy as they became the proper proportions for the tiger he was becoming. He felt his bones shifting and changing, limiting his field of movement as his arms bulked up. This had the effect of his new front paws hanging downwards as Travis found himself no longer able to move them as he could only moments ago.
"What...what's wrong?" asked Caitlyn, noticing Travis's discomfort as the sensation began to spread to his lower body. It was then Caitlyn realised the source of his discomfort was his jeans. She quickly tore them to shreds as Travis was now completely naked.
Caitlyn moved to the side of Travis, observing the changes occurring to him as she began to feel a rather instinctive need developing.
Fortunately, Travis's fur was quickly spreading down his lower body as it thickened into a true animal pelt. The orange fur moved further and further downwards, swiftly covering his lower body as a pulling sensation made itself known to him.
"Is...is that a tail?" thought Travis, feeling a small change in his brain. It began to make his tail movements feel natural as it continued to grow from his rear. It grew longer and longer, his stripes forming over it as it began to move around absentmindedly.
"Takes some getting used to, doesn't it?" asked Caitlyn, 'smiling' as she watched her boyfriend get used to his tail for the first time.
Travis could only nod once more, finding speech to be escaping him for the time being. He felt an unusual change in his equipment as he felt it change, becoming fit for his new species. However, he did catch Caitlyn staring at it for a few moments before turning away, if they were still human, he would be convinced that she was blushing. He did his best attempt at a chuckle, this only made Caitlyn turn away even more in embarrassment.
"Wasn't expecting to be blindsided like that" thought Caitlyn, trying to ignore the growing need in her rear. After all, Travis needed her support right now while her own needs could wait.
Caitlyn, to her credit, quickly regained her composure and moved back towards Travis, wishing to continue assisting him, reassuring him with his changes. She watched as his feet began to change, the toes blimping up and coming close together, worsening their dexterity considerably. She could see his new claws form on his new set of paws which were already covered in fur.
"He...he looks so...handsome," thought Caitlyn, finding it increasingly difficult to concentrate. Travis truly was becoming a magnificent tiger. She looked and noticed his black stripes which complimented his sleek orange fur. She barely suppressed her feelings as she noticed Travis seemed to be struggling.
"A...a little help?" asked Travis, struggling to get off his back. Caitlyn moved to one side, helping Travis rollover. As they managed it, Travis found himself on all fours as he felt his back 'click', locking him into that position.
This left his face the only thing left to change. And something told Travis that that would soon be changed as well.
"Time...time to welcome my mate," thought Caitlyn, her instincts running on autopilot as she moved towards Travis's face. She licked his face in affection, encouraging the changes to continue.
Travis could feel the sensations spreading upwards towards his face. Cailtyn's affection seemed to be accelerating the changes as Travis's face began to push out into a small muzzle, his nose thinning out as his fur moved upwards. He could feel his ears changing, moving to the top of his head as they changed into points, black fur growing on them. He could feel the final wave of fur cover his face as the transformation completed itself.
The changes were now complete as Travis roared for the first time which could quickly be heard throughout the zoo. Caitlyn could only stare at him in wonder as she felt an increasing need that was becoming harder to ignore.
"Travis? Are you still there? Do you remember everything?" asked Caitlyn, hoping for a response from Travis.
She really hoped that he had kept his memories, fearing the alternative. Although her increasing need seemed rather indifferent either way.
"Yes, I'm here Caitlyn" responded Travis as he walked up towards her, slowly as he was still getting used to walking on all fours. He took a few paces, seeming to be a quick learner as he turned to face his girlfriend, seeing Caitlyn appearing to be uncomfortable.
"What now?" asked Travis, eyeing his girlfriend who seemed rather conflicted. Travis soon got his answer as he looked into the nearby stream. He quickly understood, he had become quite a handsome tiger and Caitlyn was tackling between her instincts and her mind.
"I...I really am quite handsome" thought Travis, unable to resist being a little smug at the situation. However, he quickly pushed it to the back of his mind as he eyed Caitlyn. After all, she had helped him during his transformation.
And now, it was his turn to help her.
Travis stared at Caitlyn as she seemed deep in thought. He moved further towards her and looked her dead in the eyes. "I really missed you, you know?" said Travis as he looked at Caitlyn before nuzzling her.
"I know, I missed you too. You were the only thing I was missing when this happened to me" replied Caitlyn as she returned her boyfriends nuzzle. Their tails lashed around as their nuzzling intensified, imitating the human equivalent of a deep kiss.
After the pair broke their nuzzle, they each stared at each other intently. It was Caitlyn who broke the silence as she stared cheekily at Travis.
"I guess if we're stuck together, we need to start thinking about kids" declared Caitlyn, watching as Travis just stared at her dumbstruck. It had taken him a few moments to realise what Caitlyn had just said.
However, realisation soon hit him.
"Caitlyn!" roared Travis, jumping back slightly. He looked across to see what would look like Caitlyn chuckling if she was still human. Travis quickly realised that she was joking as he joined in, the pair 'laughing' at the joke as Caitlyn moved towards Travis. The pair once again nuzzled clearly enjoying being with each other.
"Now...how about we play?" said Caitlyn, not giving Travis a chance to react as she suddenly batted him with her paw. She moved away, subtly inviting him to join her. Travis quickly obliged, the pair began to wrestle across the enclosure, enjoying the moment and each other's company. Eventually, Travis pinned Caitlyn as the pair stared at each other, greatly and deeply in love with each other.
"Now...if only I didn't have to worry about Mom and Dad" thought Travis, pushing the thought to the back of his mind.
After all, he and Caitlyn had a lot of catching up to do.
Epilogue:
"Amazing," thought Rebecca, currently watching her tigers play through her camcorder. The pair of tigers were too distracted wrestling to notice Rebecca was watching them. Rebecca smiled warmly as she enjoyed the moment before the pair eventually moved out of sight, moving deeper into the enclosure.
"I'm glad it worked out for Travis," thought Rebecca, feeling an odd sense of guilt. She was struggling to understand her sudden empathy towards the people she had transformed but...following her predicament with Chris, Rebecca knew that times were rather uncertain right now.
"Well I sure look forward to whatever offspring these two make," said Rebecca, putting her camcorder away as she sighed. "Now...to see what is going on with that cheetah," thought Rebecca, feeling a need to get back to investigating the strange occurrences around the Zoo...and whether Diana was responsible.
With great reluctance, Rebecca began to wander back to the Security Room, leaving the pair to their own devices as they continued to play.
As Rebecca left, she didn't notice a green glow within the corner of the hallway seeming to focus on her. It flashed briefly as if it was considering something before deciding not to take action.
After all, Rebecca was paranoid enough already.
Therefore, the green glow stayed for a few seconds before fading out, leaving no trace that it had ever been there.
