It was late in the morning at the 'New Zoo' as Charlotte was sitting within the Security Room.

"Well...time to get to work" mumbled Charlotte, eyeing the CCTV monitors before her. She leaned back in her chair as she began to look over the recent footage they had accumulated. Since Rebecca's absence, the footage of their new additions hadn't been exported to the blank videotapes as planned.

Therefore, Charlotte had volunteered herself to export the footage on Rebecca's behalf. At least...that was her cover story.

"I'm still surprised she hasn't been back yet," thought Charlotte, her glasses hiding her eyes as they concealed her ulterior motive. "Whatever happened must have spooked her pretty badly" continued Charlotte, her smile widening as she felt her plan coming together.

She had gained Rebecca's trust. Otherwise, why else would Rebecca have trusted her to be her eyes and ears as to what was going on within the Zoo?

Which was exactly where Charlotte wanted her.

"But for now...let's investigate this green glow," said Charlotte, returning her attention to following up on her investigation regarding the green glow she had discovered a couple of weeks ago. She took a small glance at a nearby clock, smiling as she realised she still had some time before another intern from the local high school was due to show up.

"Although I'll admit...it was rather strange to see the emergency contacts blank on her form?" thought Charlotte, letting the thought occupy her mind for a brief moment. She then pushed it to the back.

After all, they'd be time for questions later if Charlotte was that curious.

"Ok, let's get back to work...for real this time," said Charlotte, returning her attention to the monitors. She eyed the various footage going across them as her thoughts drifted once more.

"Elizabeth certainly seemed more chipper than usual" mumbled Charlotte, a small smile coming to her face. Despite their current tension, Charlotte was happy that her friend was in higher spirits. It was definitely a contrast to how she'd been recently, even the week before.

"Although I do wonder...what caused such a change?" continued Charlotte, having managed to narrow down her suspected reasons. This had brought her to conclude that it had something to do with the Female Orca that had been added.

"Now...time to look over that day," said Charlotte. She pushed a few buttons on the console in front of her, her curiosity growing as she cycled through the days within the security system.

Unknown to Charlotte, she was not alone.

Within the corner of the Security Room, the very same green glow Charlotte had tasked herself with investigating appeared to be studying her. Like a predator stalking its prey, the Spirit continued to eye Charlotte, glowing red for a brief moment as its rage threatened to overwhelm it.

Fortunately for Charlotte, it suppressed its rage as it continued to observe the red-haired woman.

Charlotte was currently in the process of rewinding the footage. She turned a nearby dial as she continued to look intently at the monitors through her large glasses. She noticed a monitor containing Elizabeth as she stopped.

"Seems like a good place to start" thought Charlotte. She looked over the console, pressing a green button which caused the footage to play. She leant back in the chair, watching as the footage began to shift.

Charlotte watched as she noticed Elizabeth escorting a woman who Charlotte knew was Nadia. She glanced at the footage as it continued, realising that Elizabeth was giving a typical introduction as they wandered the Main Hallway together.

"This...this is strange, she seems even more downtrodden than usual in this footage" started Charlotte, finding confusion entering her mind. "But now she's more jovial than ever. I wonder if I should be concerned for her mental state, perhaps I've pushed her too far away" wondered Charlotte, feeling regret within her as she noticed Elizabeth and Nadia stopping at the Orca Enclosure.

"Now for the moment of truth...I hope" said Charlotte, watching the footage intently. She watched as Nadia commenced her transformation into an Orca, she noticed the growing fins and Nadia and Tyler's growing eagerness for each other. She turned away briefly, not interested in watching the pair inevitably cave in to their base instincts.

When Charlotte turned back, however, what she saw surprised her to her very core.

"Wait...is that?" thought Charlotte, finding herself lost for words. She felt mesmerised by the monitor as she found herself unable to turn away.

She watched as the green glow which she had previously seen appeared to be absorbing...something. However, before she could contemplate this, Charlotte was startled by a rather large flash. The cameras around the Orca Enclosure were blinded as Charlotte found herself staring at a blank white screen.

"Guess I'll need to slow this down a bit," thought Charlotte, pushing another button on the console in front of her. She noticed the paused footage as she turned the dial to rewind it. She then pushed a nearby blue button, watching as the footage moved frame by frame.

Fortunately, it eventually came into focus as Charlotte's eyes widened at the sight she was seeing.

Charlotte noticed Elizabeth staring at what appeared to be a green woman where the glow had previously been. She watched with intrigue as she saw it change shape. She continued to watch as the woman became more turquoise in colour, shrinking in size.

"Wait...where's the sound on this thing?" thought Charlotte, scrambling for a moment as she found a nearby yellow button which she pressed.

"Are you more comfortable now?" said the footage as Charlotte pricked up her ears.

"Wait...this thing is trying to...comfort her?" wondered Charlotte internally as she immediately became concerned for her best friend.

What were this...creature's true intentions?

However, as Charlotte kept watching she noticed Elizabeth who while appropriately shocked, seemed rather...calm. Charlotte could only watch as she continued to listen to the conversation.

"I am the Spirit of the Zoo and I'm responsible for the magic that exists within here. You and your friends brought this property within my resting place which as you should know, is the water in which the monster formerly known as Steven is occupying".

"Wait...this thing was in the loch?" thought Charlotte, confused despite her smile. Her mind began to wonder how to deal with this...thing...what could they do? Charlotte pushed her dread from her mind, for the time being, preferring to focus on what she was seeing.

"But what I want.... is to help you Elizabeth. This mark you have, the way your 'friends' treat you, it's not nice and it makes me ANGRY!!"

Charlotte jumped slightly as she watched the Spirit turn red and give out a massive amount of energy. While she wasn't an expert like Rebecca, Charlotte definitely knew strong magic when she saw it.

"Holy...how are we supposed to deal with this thing?" thought Charlotte, her dread increasing as she felt fear wracking her being. It was as if she was paralysed as she forced herself to keep watching.

The Spirit flashed slightly with satisfaction. "It definitely is fun watching Charlotte squirm" thought the Spirit, feeling rather joyful at how on edge Charlotte had become."You deserve it for throwing Elizabeth under the bus during your little aquarium expansion with those school children" continued the Spirit, revelling in Charlotte's predicament. She truly seemed like a deer in headlights before being devoured by a superior predator."Still...I have yet to see anything that makes me need to concern myself with Charlotte, so far she's been nothing but disappointing" finished the Spirit, finding itself rather bored.

Meanwhile, Charlotte was watching intently as she noticed Elizabeth perk up.

"Would you have anything to do with Rebecca becoming distant by any chance?" asked Elizabeth on the screen, "You know, just asking for a friend". Elizabeth was smiling, seemingly resisting the urge to laugh.

Charlotte felt fear chilling her soul as she continued to stare. "Seems like Elizabeth has a plan of her own...and she didn't tell me?" thought Charlotte, feeling a swelling of emotions coming over her. She pressed a nearby button, pausing the footage as she couldn't bear to watch anymore.

Charlotte felt her emotions threatening to overload as she sat within the chair. She tried to remain composed, doing her best to manage the anger, the hurt but most importantly...the betrayal.

"Did I really hurt Elizabeth that badly?" thought Charlotte, a few tears coming to her eyes. She hadn't intended her best friend to abandon her, especially not to feel like she was alone against both of them. Before Charlotte could stop herself, she felt hot rage and anger overwhelming her.

But it was not directed at Elizabeth, it was directed at herself.

"For Fucks Sake!!" shouted Charlotte, standing up in anger as she slammed her fist down on the console, damaging it slightly as she struggled to contain her rage. She grabbed her phone and threw it against the wall, not realising that she had broken it in the process.

"Why didn't I defend her?" thought Charlotte, grabbing the chair as she flung it to the floor. She felt an uncharacteristic rage as she screamed into the air, the noise vibrating off of the walls of the Security Room. The Spirit was just looking back, enjoying the show and giggling quietly to itself.

"And now she's befriended this...thing?!" mumbled Charlotte, her rage beginning to calm. Worry took its place, fear for her best friend. She'd need to talk to Elizabeth soon, to remind her that she's not alone.

For now, however, Charlotte opted to clean up the mess she had made.
She picked the chair up and looked over the keyboard, wincing at the minor damage she had dealt to it. She looked over the phone, panicking slightly when she realised it was broken. She now had no easy way to contact Elizabeth.

"I need to tell Elizabeth now, she needs reminding that she's got my support," thought Charlotte, deciding she would leave and then return in time for the intern. However, before Charlotte could leave, she felt her watch vibrate. She looked at it before checking the clock for confirmation. She groaned, realising she would not have enough time to get back to the Zoo before the intern was due to arrive.

"Damn it...guess I'll deal with the intern first before talking to Elizabeth," thought Charlotte as she turned to leave the Security Room. She hoped internally that this new intern wouldn't take too long.

Little did Charlotte know, she'd never get the chance to talk to her friend...her best friend.

After all, Elizabeth had a new best friend, one that didn't feel like sharing.

At the Stone Archways:

Marie looked up at the stone archways of the New Zoo she had applied to work for. She smiled warmly, content to be outside as she felt the warmth of the sun over her fair skin.

Marie adjusted her blue headband slightly, moving her blond hair neatly under it. She had made a considerable effort to look presentable for her upcoming meeting with a manager of the New Zoo. In addition, she had come in her best blue and white dress which she wore a white cardigan over, really wanting to make a good first impression. This opportunity was truly important to her, despite what her parents might think.

After all, she needed this job if she wanted the freedom she craved.

"My parents have always been so overprotective," thought Marie, placing her hand to her chin in deep thought. While she didn't hate her parents, she wished they didn't treat her like a fragile porcelain doll. "I know they are only trying to protect me but I wish they would give me more freedom" reasoned Maire, trying to consider her mother's perspective.

Things had only gotten worse since people from her class had started disappearing. Marie's parents had only gotten more and more worried for her daughter's safety. They had insisted Marie return home immediately from school, stifling any opportunity for Marie to spend further time with her friends.

"They keep me inside too much for my own good," thought Marie, huffing slightly. She looked down at her small pocket watch, noticing the time as her eyes widened slightly.

"Oh golly, I should go in" mumbled Marie, realising she had been in deep thought longer than anticipated.

Marie entered the Main Hallway of the New Zoo, unable to resist her inquisitive side as she noticed the animals within. However, she regained her focus, remembering why she was here today.

"Now...I'm meeting today with someone called Charlotte" thought Marie, looking around as she tried to see anyone who might be able to assist her. As she walked deeper into the Hallway, her mind began to wander. Her thoughts returned to her parents...and her own needs.

"I know that total freedom is a difficult thing to ask for. So I only desire a little bit and I don't understand why that is a very difficult thing to want" thought Marie, feeling annoyance which she suppressed under her well-trained ladylike composure.

"Still...I wonder what Erica and Megan have been up to" wondered Marie, feeling a wave of concern come over her. They had not been seen since their interviews which, in combination with the rumours, had caused Marie considerable grief and worry.

This is why, in defiance of her parents, Marie had opted to investigate for herself.

"Ok, now where is Charlotte?" wondered Marie, having another glance around the Main Hallway. Marie noticed a nearby enclosure which peaked her natural inquisitiveness. She walked towards it, noticing the enclosure was designed for Giraffes.

"I'm sure she'll find me when she's ready...right?" wondered Marie internally as she could no longer resist. She looked inside the enclosure and watched the giraffes as wonder flashed in her eyes, her face slowly changing into childish glee.

"This...this is so cool!" squealed Marie inside her mind. She felt excitement within as she focused on the female within the enclosure who was, unknown to Marie, her best friend.

Meanwhile, within the enclosure, Erica was continuing to chew from the tall trees. She could feel the young developing within her as she noticed something in the corner of her eye. She panicked as she recognised the person, realising that her fears were coming true.

"Wait...what is she doing here?!" thought Erica in a panic as she saw Marie who was still standing there, looking like a child who had just opened their Christmas presents. She began to walk towards her best friend, fear developing within as concern for her best friend became her top priority.

On the other hand, Marie's mouth only gaped in amazement as she watched the giraffe approaching her. From the look on her face, it was obvious that Marie had never been this close to a giraffe, or any exotic animal as she recalled. However, Marie pushed the thought from her mind, wanting to enjoy the here and now.

"Marie, you have to leave!" bellowed Erica, her panic preventing her from realising that, despite her best attempts to speak to her friend, she could only produce the bellows of her new species.
"The Zoo, it changes people. We become the animals and you'll join us if you don't leave!" continued Erica, trying to get the message across to her best friend.

"Amazing" mouthed Marie, clapping her hands slightly, enjoying the attention the giraffe seemed to be giving her. Her mouth shifted as she beamed widely. A small genuine laugh came from her mouth as she was truly enjoying herself.

However, all good things must come to an end as Marie eyed someone approaching her. "Goodbye Giraffe...for now," said Marie happily, mumbling the last words. She turned away to face the approaching woman. Marie gave a bow in greeting which confused Charlotte momentarily before she took it in stride.

"Hello, I'm Charlotte and I'll be your interviewer today," said Charlotte. She watched as Marie rose up from her bow, turning to face Charlotte. Erica bellowed in rage as Marie had risen, still trying to warn her friend. A quick glare from Charlotte immediately ended any opposition from her.

"I'm Marie, greetings Charlotte, how are you today?" said Marie, sounding jovial as she held out her hand, offering a handshake. Charlotte accepted gratefully, pondering the question Marie had asked.

"I'm.... ok today," said Charlotte, trying to pick her words carefully. "I've just been working through important work before the New Zoo can properly open" continued Charlotte, noticing Marie gave her a look of understanding. "Before we do your interview, I need to check on the Petting Zoo but if you follow me, I should be done shortly" finished Charlotte, eyeing Marie who nodded in understanding.

"Understood...lead the way" replied Marie, her tone warm. She watched Charlotte walk away, following her not too far behind. They began to walk further away, heading towards the Petting Zoo as Erica looked on helplessly.

"COME BACK!" bellowed Erica, trying to get her best friend's attention. However, it seemed her bellows were falling on deaf ears as the pair continued to walk away from the enclosure. At that Erica hung her head, giving up as she hoped that her best friend would be ok.

At that, Erica returned her attention to the inside of her enclosure. She noticed Jason staring at her, her bellow had gotten his attention as she gave him a short glance. It was then Erica decided to return to the tall tree, resume her feeding.

"After all, this calf's not going to feed itself," thought Erica bitterly. She yanked at the leaves, her long tongue proving very useful as Erica allowed her animal instincts to take the front seat once again.

Meanwhile, The Spirit was observing Charlotte and Marie. It continued to watch them from afar as it noticed the pair talking to each other. It didn't pay much mind to them talking as it continued to float after the pair, having remained in its green glow form.

"After all...I doubt it's important anyway" thought the Spirit as it noticed the pair walking towards the Outside Section of the Zoo. "I guess they're going to the Petting Zoo expansion. Perfect, it gives me a chance to confront Charlotte alone" finished the Spirit as it felt a small unfamiliar sensation forming within.

This brought the Spirit's attention to Marie as it wondered how to deal with her. "Meh," thought the Spirit. "As long as I get fed, it doesn't matter, I'll take it as it comes" continued the Spirit internally.

The Spirit continued to pursue the pair as they headed towards the Petting Zoo. However, the sensation that had formed within the Spirit had failed to cease. It felt something...unusual about Marie, something...warm.

At the Petting Zoo:

Charlotte and Marie arrived at the Petting Zoo as Charlotte turned to Marie. They were both outside the main gate into the Petting Zoo as Charlotte's face widened out into a smile.

"What do you think of the new sign?" asked Charlotte, pointing up to it for emphasis. Marie eyed Charlotte, noticing her obvious enthusiasm.

Marie then looked at the sign. Her honest thoughts were that the sign was rather tacky but, not wanting to be rude, instead replied "the sign is really nice, very rustic. Complements the area nicely".

Charlotte beamed, her pride blossoming as for once, someone liked the sign. She opened the gate, motioning Marie to follow her as Marie complied, entering the Petting Zoo.

"This...this looks very quaint," thought Marie, unable to resist the smile forming on her face. She felt further intrigue and curiosity come over her as she noticed what appeared to be a baby goose near her foot. Marie bent down, taking care to avoid getting dirt on her dress as she began to give it a small stroke.

Charlotte turned around, noticing Marie giving Amy affection. "I need to check on the donkey so feel free to make yourself comfortable until I return" stated Charlotte. It was at that moment Charlotte decided to add Marie to the Petting Zoo.

"Ok, I'll see you soon" replied Marie, turning back momentarily to face Charlotte.

Charlotte nodded, walking towards a large pasture. Charlotte had intended for this pasture to be the main area for the animals to share once the Petting Zoo was open to the public. Therefore, she had placed the flock of sheep and donkey together earlier to test to see if her idea of the larger animals would work in practice.

A test which, according to what Charlotte was observing, was proving to be rather successful.

Unknown to Charlotte, The Spirit was now observing Marie. Marie hadn't seen it, her attention still focused on the baby goose nestled at her feet.

"You're a fussy thing aren't you?" cooed Marie, carefully stroking the delicate bird as Amy responded positively to her strokes. Marie felt her mind wander, her smile widening with bliss as she did so."I'm having a wonderful time, I definitely hope I get a job here, everything is just so nice and pleasant here," thought Marie, enjoying the moment which was becoming one to treasure.

Meanwhile, The Spirit had been reading Marie's mind. The warm sensation within it had only grown stronger as it continued to scan through her memories. It sensed her want for freedom, her fears of having complete freedom and her bliss at being within the Zoo. "This.... gives me an idea," thought the Spirit as it clicked its fingers.

For a brief moment, Marie felt conscious though leave her mind. Her eyes glazed over as she looked off into the distance. She noticed a large red barn as she felt curiosity overwhelm her. It had a medium-size pasture attached which would allow the animals housed within the freedom to graze in the day. She felt a need which she couldn't understand, to investigate the barn as she stood up, walking towards it.

Elsewhere, Charlotte was watching over the large pasture where she had left the sheep and donkey that morning. She smiled as she noticed they were enjoying each other's company, herd mentality had clearly settled in between them.

"This is going to be so amazing once I finish" thought Charlotte, her smile widening as she recalled that she had plans to add Marie. "Suppose I should add another large animal to the Petting Zoo.... maybe a cow" continued Charlotte as she stared back at the sheep and donkey.

Unknown to Charlotte, someone had beaten her to the punch.

Within the Barn:

Marie entered the barn, her mind still in a daze as she glanced around blankly. Her mind was still in a trance as she stood still within the barn, unable to comprehend her surroundings.

Unknown to Marie, the Spirit had followed her. It was still confused at the warm sensation rocking it to its very core. There was something...unusual about this girl.

"Fascinating...what is this feeling?" thought the Spirit, flashing slightly. At that, the doors to the barn closed. The Spirit had enchanted them, preventing them from opening until the time was right. It also decided to soundproof the barn...just in case.

The Spirit, still in its green glow state, focused on Marie once more. It flashed as it hung back, eager to start the show.

After all, despite this new sensation within it, the Spirit needed to feed!

Marie blinked. This was quickly followed up by several more blinks as her eyes regained clarity.
The trance-like state she had been in was lifting as her brown eyes gained focus.

Marie regained awareness of her surroundings as she looked around confusingly.

"How did I get in here?" thought Marie as she looked around the barn, still interested as she admired the woodwork, taking in the quality of the design. She also took notice of two large doors that she guessed would lead into the pasture connected to the barn.

"Golly, this feels rather...homey," said Marie, eyeing the barn as she noticed the doors. She quickly headed over to them, trying to push them open.

The doors stayed rigid, refusing to budge despite Marie's protests.

"Charlotte, Charlotte where are you?" called out Marie, still drawing a blank as to how she had gotten in the barn in the first place. She looked around, wondering as to where Charlotte had gotten off to.

As Marie looked around, she noticed what appeared to be an animal stall. For some reason, Marie seemed...drawn to it.

"Well, might as well look around until Charlotte decides to find me" deadpanned Marie, huffing slightly as she felt annoyed at herself. She could only hope that she hadn't done something to anger Charlotte.

Marie walked towards an animal stall, paying everything else little mind. She looked down, noticing a sign on the front gate of the stall indicated that it was intended for a cow. She shrugged her shoulders, her curiosity getting the better of her as she walked inside.

At least, Marie thought it was her curiosity.

Within the stall, Marie noticed the hay underneath her feet and the feeding trough attached to the inside of the stall door. However, the main thing that attracted Marie's attention was a bell that was hanging on the wall. It was pristine white with a thick brown strap designed to be placed around the neck.

For some reason that Marie didn't understand, she felt compelled to try it on.

"I'll...I'll only wear it for a moment," thought Marie, unable to fight back her compulsion as she grabbed the bell off the nail it had been hanging from. It took only a moment longer for her to slip it around her neck.

Unknown to Marie, the bell was magical. It was more accurately a cowbell. Once she had put it on, she had sealed her fate.

The Zoo was about to claim another victim.

"Welcome to the Petting Zoo, we hope you enjoy your permanent stay" announced a booming voice, vibrating within Marie's mind as Marie looked around in confusion.

"Wait...wha...who said that?" said Marie, her eyes darting around as she tried to find the origin of the voice. As she did so, she felt a strange sensation come over her. She looked down, noticing the bell around her neck beginning to flash moderately. The strange sensations began to spread, causing Marie to feel hot blushes as she panted out, trying to cool down.

"The Cow says..." stated the voice once more, causing Marie to feel an odd buildup in her gut. It seemed like something was trying to force its way out. The sensation continued to get worse, the buildup travelling up her throat as it was becoming more and more difficult to resist.

Eventually, Marie couldn't hold back any longer as a large guttural "MOOOOO!" escaped from her lips. She clasped her mouth with her hands, her mind trying to catch up with the inhuman sound she had just made.

"See the cow within. They don't look like human girls at all, do they?" sounded the strange voice once more, distracting Marie's mind once more as she looked around.

"I'm...I'm not a cow! I'm a teenage girl!" shouted Marie in defiance. Her composure began to fade as the sensations that had spread across her being, forcing it to change, only began to increase.

"Naive school girls don't have big, long, fuzzy ears, do they? Cow ears stretch out to either side and swivel to listen out for predators" said the strange voice once more, its tone as if mocking Marie's defiance.

At that, Marie felt the sensations focus around her ears. They felt tingly as her ears began to stretch and push out, curling into the familiar conical pattern of a cow as she swivelled them experimentally. Her hearing had ceased momentarily.

However, that was nothing compared to Marie's disorientation once her newly enhanced hearing kicked in. She stumbled slightly, managed to keep upright as her ears but more importantly, her brain adapted.

"Golly...my hearing is...rather clear" mumbled Marie, trying to recall a moment when she could hear as clear as she was currently. It brought a small smile to her face as it brought her back to her youth.

It was ten years ago when her parents had taken her to the Old Zoo. While it had been so long ago, she had treasured the memory. After all, it was one of the few experiences she was allowed to interact with animals. She particularly recalled spending time in the Petting Zoo, although she had been more interested in the sheep due to her age.

"Still...it was nice that my parents weren't so overprotective then," thought Marie, the warmth of the childhood memory causing her smile to widen. It felt odd...nice, like she might finally be getting the freedom she craved, or at least enough to keep her happy.

Perhaps...perhaps being a cow wouldn't be so bad after all.

"Cows have long tails with tufts of fur on their tips for swishing flies" announced the voice once more. Marie nodded slightly in anticipation, feeling the sensations beginning to focus around her rear.

Marie's trip down memory lane ceased as she felt a tugging under her dress. Marie placed her hands on her knees to support herself as the tugging intensified. Something was clearly trying to force its way out of her rear.

"This....this feels moo" mumbled Marie, noticing her small lowing. However, her attention was focused much more on the tugging. She became red in the face as the building pressure was
quickly becoming painful.

"MOOO!" lowed Marie, unable to concentrate on maintaining human speech as the pain was becoming impossible to bear. Fortunately, the pressure ceased as something burst from her rear.

Marie looked back, not seeing what she already knew was her new tail... but she could definitely feel it. She could feel it moving calmly under her dress as her natural curiosity peaked.

"Might as well check out my new tail...since I'll be stuck with it after all" thought Marie, lifting her dress slightly as she managed to get sight of her new appendage.

Her tail was long. It was swishing around mindlessly, suddenly whacking a nearby fly Marie hadn't noticed. It had a soft tuft of blond fur, similar to her hair as it swished back and forth in relative tranquillity.

Meanwhile, while Maire's transformation was continuing, The Spirit looked on in intrigue. The warm sensation it had been feeling only began to increase as it flashed slightly.

"Suppose I should draw it out...have more to feed off of," thought the Spirit, flashing once more as it decided to continue watching. It felt the warm sensation intensifying as it did so, causing it to feel rather...happy.

"Cows have udders which are milked for milk and cheese!" said the voice, causing Marie to begin to feel a tingling in her chest.

"Wait...are my breasts?" thought Marie, confusion forming within as she could feel them swelling. "Are they...lactating?" continued Marie internally, a sudden realisation coming over her. She was becoming a cow and cows...produced milk!

Marie felt as her breasts began to migrate downwards as her chest flattened out. As it continued to move, Marie could feel her nipples starching out into long teats as another pair of teats grew directly below them

As her developing udder approached her legs, she felt her breasts beginning to press together. Marie cringed as she felt her breasts combining into one big sack which, as Marie could feel, was beginning to further swell with milk.

Marie's new udder settled between her legs as she couldn't help but shudder at its sensitivity. Her udder was rather uncomfortable and her new teats ached for release as Marie couldn't help but pant. She could feel another guttural bellow developing within her as Marie was finding it harder to resist her developing bovine instincts.

As the bellow travelled up her throat, Marie couldn't help but squeeze her legs together in anticipation. Unfortunately, in her haste, she had trapped her udder directly between them as she could feel a liberating release.

It was then Marie realised something was dripping down her legs.

"MOOOOOOOOOOO!" bellowed Marie, unable to hold back as she mooed like the animal she was becoming. She breathed out in relief as the milk left her udder, a sudden happiness coming to her mind.

"If this...if this came from only one squirt" thought Marie, unable to hold back a wide smile. "Imagine how euphoric emptying it would feel?" continued Marie, feeling her udder resting between her legs once more. Her smile was unwavering as she began to look forward to her first proper milking.

"Cows are covered in splotchy black and white fur" announced the voice within Marie's mind. She felt an itching sensation beginning to develop as she looked down at her hand.

Marie noticed what appeared to be spot forming as she smiled. She softly encouraged the changes to continue, having been won over by the prospect of being milked. She giggled as she saw several more developing around it.

"Spooooooooo!" said Marie, her bellow mixing into her words as she watched the spots quickly spreading across her body. They formed large splotches everywhere, preparing Marie for her new fur. She blinked momentarily as one such spot formed over her left eye. White fur spread to fill the gaps, its colouration similar to the fluffiest cloud as Marie developed an expression of discomfort.

Her new fur felt uncomfortable against her clothing as Marie began to use her still-human hands to scratch her itching. Marie smiled as she realised that, in her future, she would have no need for such uncomfortable garments.

"One key difference is that cows have hooves and not hands or feet" announced the voice, its tone seemingly indifferent to Marie's plight. However, the tingling in her hands and feet were another story as Marie sensed that they were beginning to change.

Marie stared at her hands as she felt them beginning to cramp. The middle fingers began to stretch out as the others merged into the remaining part of her hand. She could see her nails on her extended middle fingers turning black and hardening. They began to spread over the lump that had once been her hands, causing them to blacken as they hardened, becoming rigid and only fit for supporting Marie upwards.

Within moments, Marie's hands had been replaced with a pair of hooves, fit for the species she was becoming. She looked to her hoof-hands with intrigue, fascinated by their simplicity.

"Hooooooves?" lowed Marie, her bellows mixing into her words once more. She paid it no mind, as she felt her mind wandering once more. Her developing bovine instincts brought her attention to the pasture outside and how...tasty the grass seemed.

"This...this will work, I'll get some of the freedom that I wanted, just not in the form I thought," thought Marie, beginning to salivate slightly as the idea of grazing felt immensely satisfying.

It seemed, becoming a cow was becoming more and more appealing for the changing girl.

It was then Marie felt a sensation in her feet. She could feel a pressing against her dainty white shoes as she felt the pressure rising. Soon, her shoes all but exploded, revealing her changing feet to the girl.

"They're...becoming hooves toooooooo?" lowed Marie, not even trying to hide her lowing anymore. She watched as her middle toes stretched out as the rest of her toes began to merge into her foot, creating one large stump. It was then her nails began to blacken, expanding around her new stumps as her rear hooves finished forming.

Marie was finding it hard to keep her balance, stumbling momentarily. However, her new hooves were not adapted for bipedal movement as she fell forward.

"MOOO!" bellowed Marie, fear coming over her as she threw her arms out in front of her in an attempt to break her fall. She closed her eyes as she anticipated a face full of hay in her near future.

Surprisingly, that never came as Marie found herself feeling strange. She felt rather...elevated. She opened her eyes in confusion, noticing her arms had extended to match her legs.

"Golly...that was fortunate," thought Marie, realising she was now standing comfortably and naturally on all fours. It was then Marie felt a small 'click' in her back, causing it to become rigid and inflexible. Marie now realised she was now confined to all fours.

"Cows have large, boxy bodies with thick hide instead of fair human skin" announced the voice once more, causing Marie to feel uneasy once more.

Marie felt a distinctive bloating forming internally as she felt her clothes become tighter and tighter. She could feel the texture of her skin beneath her fur changing. It was becoming truly animalistic, forming animal hide to replace her former human skin.

Her enlarging form continued to push against her clothing as Marie's body swelled larger and larger, becoming truly bovine. Her rear legs began to widen as her flanks grew out. Her chest barrelled out, stretching to nearly touch the floor as her clothing was beginning to struggle. Finally, it could take no more as it began to tear at the seams. Stitches burst as material split open. Her clothing promptly tore away from her body, revealing her new fur to any would-be observers.

It was then the stall door forced itself closed, trapping Marie within the stall that was to become her new home. However, Marie didn't care.

After all, even if she wanted to change back...it was too late now.

"There are worse things to be. At least I'm getting what I truly want. I suppose this is what happened to my friends, I hope they are doing ok as well and enjoying it as much as I am" thought Marie, noting just how much she'd changed.

"Cows have large wide vaginas, able to accommodate their bull counterparts and produce calves" announced the voice once more, snapping Marie to attention.

"Wait...what?" mumbled Marie, confusion coming over her for a brief moment as she could feel tingling in her genitalia. Marie cringed as she could feel her vagina pulling upwards. She could feel it shifting, changing as it stopped just below her anus and tail.

"Wait...what in the MOOOO!" stammered Marie, feeling her vagina continuing to become animalistic. It widened, becoming big enough to accommodate any future bulls which might join the Zoo. It felt unusual as lewd thoughts began to sweep through Marie's mind.

"MOOOOO!" lowed Maire, her lowing the most animalistic yet as her bovine instinct bellowed out in pleasure at the notion of taking a bull. In contrast, Marie's still human mind was repulsed at the idea.

"No, no, no...I'm not subjecting myself to that!" thought Marie defiantly. While she was looking forward to her new life ahead, the concept of mating disgusted her to her very core.

"Cows have small horns which form at their foreheads" announced the voice as Marie began to feel something pushing out.

Marie cringed as she could feel the pressure increase as she was powerless against the increasing headache. Eventually, she could feel a small pair of horns budding out from her forehead as a small trickle of blood moved down her face.

"Moooo" lowed Marie softly, closing her eyes as the blood seeped past her eyes. She found the blood rather annoying, especially since she could no longer do anything about it. Marie anticipated that her head was the next thing to change and, given her new horns, was about to change very soon.

"Cows have long square muzzles, long thick tongues and thick molars for chewing grass" announced the voice, causing Marie to feel her face start tingling. At this rate, she'd be unrecognisable from an ordinary cow.

"It's about Moooo" lowed Marie, noticing her deeper voice for the first time. Her thicker neck had caused her lowing to deepen, sounding even more inhuman as she could feel the tingling intensifying across her face.
The first thing Marie felt was her hair seemed to be...loosening. She could only watch as her hair began to fall out. Her blond locks began to fall to the floor, Marie only able to look on as they did so. She felt bittersweet, having rather liked her hair. However, she was looking more forward to her new future ahead, seeing it as a necessary sacrifice.

After all, soon, she wouldn't be human anymore.

"MOOOO!" lowed Marie, feeling a sudden tickling as she felt white fur beginning to push out from where her head had been. It began to spread across her head, the occasional black spot forming as Marie could only moo softly as the sensations tickled. The fur soon spread across her head, leaving only one final feature to change.

"Guess this is my muzzle," thought Marie excitedly. She desired to finish her changes, her new bovine instincts causing her to find the hay beneath her and the animal feed in her trough appealing as she felt a sudden hunger come over her.

For now, however, Marie focused as she felt her face beginning to push out into a muzzle. It stretched out, longer and longer as it began to take up more and more of her vision. She could feel a tingling in her tongue as it seemed to be growing, expanding within her mouth. Fortunately, her newly grown muzzle was fully adept for holding her enlarged tongue in her mouth as Marie licked her remaining teeth experimentally.

It was then Marie felt her teeth tingling as her lower teeth seemed to clump together. They combined, forming new, large, sharp molars as her teeth above disappeared. She could feel a hard plate forming as her new muzzle was finally complete. Her face finalised as it compressed, becoming the proper size for the new bovine.

Marie felt her eyes were forced shut as they changed position. They shifted on her face, increasing her range of sight as Marie was able to open them. She felt slightly disoriented at first by her new range of vision but her bovine instincts quickly eased her confusion.

"This...this is amazing," thought Marie, noticing her larger range of vision. While her world was now mostly in shades of grey and black, Marie figured she wouldn't need a full range of colour in her new life ahead.

"The Cow says..." stated the voice once more, as if waiting in anticipation for Marie's response.

"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" bellowed Marie, her guttural mooing loud and proud as if to announce to the world that she was a cow. As the bell shook on her neck, it began to glow slightly. It seemed to be...writing something.

The bell spelt out the name 'Marie' on it in large golden letters. It complimented the pristine white bell perfectly as the new cow had effectively been marked for the herd.

"Cows are used as beasts of burden but are still more productive than the former girl that stood here only moments ago" stated the voice, its tone implying it was now finished with its lecture as the voice faded away.

This left Marie alone in her new bovine body as she looked around blankly.

"Ok...now what?" thought Marie, feeling a scent come across her new bovine muzzle. It smelled absolutely divine as she noticed the scent appeared to be coming from her food trough. The scent was becoming impossible to ignore as Marie was reminded of her now, overpowering hunger.

Marie could barely resist as she plunged her new muzzle into the depths of the trough. Then, as if she'd always been a cow, began to much on the pellets within. They felt delicious, soothing her bovine appetite as she continued to eat.

"Wow! What an absolutely magnificent performance!" announced a voice as Marie looked around, startled by the new voice. Her udder shook slightly, reminding Marie just how full it was and...how desperately she needed to be milked.

Marie noticed a nearby green glow that seemed to be flashing. The flashes increased, wider and wider as it seemed to be taking on a new form.

Its hair was the first thing to emerge, becoming a shade of turquoise as it became voluminous, curling out. A familiar light blue t-shirt with a picture of the Zoo's entrance on it formed around its upper body as the Spirit began to gain physical form. A jacket formed over its shirt which was now turquoise in colour, the same shade as its hair.

The Spirit had a pair of green shorts form around its lower body. Its irises became varying shades of blue and green. Finally, It appeared to be barefoot, which was the most mundane thing about it according to Marie.

"Moo?" lowed Marie confusingly, noticing the Spirit shifting its voluminous hair out of its eyes. The Spirit seemed to be staring directly at her as if interested in her specifically. She tried to take a step backwards but her new bovine body didn't agree.

"It's ok...I'm not going to hurt you" said the Spirit, smiling as the same warm sensation began to fill its form once more. It hovered forward slowly, taking care not to startle Marie. It lifted its hand, stroking the new cow's head in an attempt to soothe her.

"Don't worry Marie" started the Spirit, noticing Marie staring at it in confusion. "Yes I know you're still in there, I won't tell anybody. You can trust me" continued the Spirit jovially as it continued to stroke Marie.

While Marie was still confused, she felt oddly...comfortable. Whatever this thing was, it seemed rather friendly. A small gurgle in her udder reminded her of the bulging udder she now had as she stared blankly at the Spirit.

"Moo?" lowed Marie, her lowing indicating her obvious discomfort as the Spirit stopped stroking her head. The Spirit placed its hand to its chin as if trying to decipher what Marie wanted. The anticipation was beginning to fluster Marie as she mooed once more.

"Wait...I think you need a...milking?" wondered the Spirit, staring at Marie who was quickly nodding. The cowbell responsible for her transformation rang in the air as she did so, indicating her approval.

Unknown to Marie, the Spirit had known exactly what she wanted.

"Ok...let's do this," said the Spirit, quickly levitating a bucket and stool to its location. It then flashed briefly, turning tangible as it began to move towards the bulging udder. It then sat down on the stool, placing the bucket beneath the udder. It then squeezed one of the teats as it noticed milk gushing out into the bucket.

"Moooooooooooo" exclaimed Marie, her deep bellow indicating her euphoria at the release of the increasingly maddening pressure of her udder.

"That feel good?" said the Spirit coyly, able to sense Marie's more than 'intimate' emotions. It shook its head as it squeezed another teat, watching as another gush of milk entered the bucket. Marie couldn't help but bellow once more, her thoughts being drowned out by euphoria as the milking felt more pleasurable than anything she had ever known.

"Oh, golly...it's everything I'd thought it'd be" thought Marie, continuing to bellow as the Spirit continued to milk the new cow. The Spirit smiled as it continued in its task, subtly removing the enchantments it had placed on the barn.

After all, it still had Charlotte to deal with.

Elsewhere:

Charlotte was wandering through the Petting Zoo. She had a confused expression on her face as she wondered where Marie could've gotten off to.

"Seriously, where is she?" mumbled Charlotte, looking around as she found herself at a loss.

Had Marie already been added or did she just leave?

"MOOOOOO!" lowed Marie, her loud lowing from the barn getting Charlotte's attention. Charlotte turned to face the barn as she stood momentarily confused.

"We.... don't have a cow," thought Charlotte feeling an odd sense of dread. Something didn't...feel right. Still, she needed to investigate...even if Charlotte didn't feel right.

Charlotte quickened her pace, rushing towards the nearby barn as fast as she could. She burst open the doors, quickly glancing around as she noticed a cow within one of the stalls.

"What the?" mumbled Charlotte, confusion filling her being. Had Marie...transformed herself?

While Charlotte was confused, the Spirit had finished milking Marie. It stroked her side, comforting the new cow as the warm sensation it had felt returned.

"Ok, now I have to deal with Charlotte, now be a good cow and don't make a fuss," said the Spirit, affectionately stroking Marie who lowed out what was interpreted as compliance.

"Wait...Marie?" said Charlotte, trying to work out what happened. However, before she could, the barn doors suddenly slammed closed behind her. Charlotte jumped slightly as she turned around. However, unknown to Charlotte, the Spirit, which was now in front of her, would prove to be far more terrifying.

"Turn around moron," said the Spirit, the voice alerting Charlotte as she noticed what appeared to be a small turquoise girl glaring daggers at her. It made Charlotte feel uneasy until a sudden realisation came over her.

It was the Spirit from the footage, the one who had taken interest in Elizabeth...her best friend.

"What are you and what do you want with Elizabeth?" demanded Charlotte, her tone firm as the Spirit seemed to treat it with a casual disregard.

"Simple...she's my friend" replied the Spirit, its smile widening as Charlotte barely kept her composure. "And you and that other girl need to pay for what you did to her?" continued the Spirit.

"Wait...so it was you who caused Rebecca's issue?" asked Charlotte confusingly.

The Spirit looked at Charlotte, revelling in the moment before breaking into giggles of laughter. "Yes I did, it was karma following what she did to Elizabeth," said the Spirit as its smile which had previously been warm, began to become malicious, putting Charlotte further on edge.

"And now...it's your turn" finished the Spirit, its once warm tone now cold like ice. It waved its hand as the surroundings of the barn began to fade away. Charlotte felt the air grow cold as she began to feel fear crawling up her spine.

"Wait...what's happening?" said Charlotte fearfully, noticing the darkening surroundings as the barn soon faded away to a black void. Charlotte shivered slightly, the cold beginning to increase as she tried to make sense of where she was.

"Spirit?" said Charlotte, turning to where she had previously seen the turquoise girl. The little girl that had been there only moments ago had disappeared, leaving Charlotte alone within the cold, dark, void as she tried to make sense of what was happening.

A sudden white light emerged as Charlotte was forced to cover her eyes. The sheer brightness doubled as the beams of light focused on Charlotte like searchlights.

"There you are" taunted the Spirit, its tone mocking Charlotte who managed to force her arms way enough to see that teeth were beginning to form. They flashed in the dark void as they formed a wicked smile. The smile intimidated Charlotte immensely as she felt a sudden sensation passing through her body.

"Wait...what's...happening?" thought Charlotte, terrified at what she feared was about to happen. Charlotte found herself rooted to the spot, unable to move, unable to scream as she was paralysed with fear. She felt forced to stare at the large eyes and wide smile as the Spirit eyed the defenceless Charlotte like a predator that had cornered its prey.

"Time to take your medicine!" exclaimed the Spirit, its voice much deeper than its previous form as it directly shot at Charlotte who managed to finally let out a scream.

Charlotte felt a wracking in her brain. It was as if something was being planted within. It then became overly agonising, too much for her to handle as she began to lose consciousness. It almost felt like relief as Charlotte finally passed out, no longer able to take the onslaught of magic being thrown at her.

With that, the darkness faded away. The surroundings of the barn returned as the Spirit regressed into its turquoise form. It breathed inwards, feeling rather tired from unleashing its power. However, as it eyed Charlotte passed out on the ground, it felt rather...joyous.

"Good riddance" mumbled the Spirit, scowling at the fallen Charlotte as it admired its handiwork. Despite feeling uneasy, it was still happy to accomplish the next phase of its plan.

"That should wipe her memory of everything that happened today. However, the worst is yet to come" thought the Spirit, beginning to feed. It eyed Marie once more, noticing she appeared rather confused by the whole situation.

"Except her, for now anyway" continued the Spirit, beginning to feel rejuvenated. However, it decided that unleashing its true power this soon might prove to be more detrimental than helpful.

Besides, if everything went to plan...it wouldn't need to do so anymore.

"First, I'd need a more sustainable food source" considered the Spirit, recalling her new best friend. "Can't have Charlotte flagging my friendship with Elizabeth to Rebecca" continued the Spirit, eyeing the unconscious Charlotte on the floor.

The Spirit felt content as, in its mind, it had tied up all the loose ends.

However, a sudden lowing brought it back to reality as it noticed Marie. The Spirit then raised its hand once more, Marie noticing the stall she was trapped in opening up as the large doors opened, allowing Marie access to the wide pasture.

"There you go...friend," said the Spirit, noticing Marie nodding gratefully. Marie then began to walk towards the pasture, her new bovine instincts compelling her to try the now succulent grass.

This left the Spirit alone with Charlotte as it glared once more at her.

"Good riddance" started the Spirit, smiling maliciously as it began to fade away. "Elizabeth doesn't need another 'best friend'" continued the Spirit, stating the words in a mocking tone as it faded away once more.

It has a few more loose ends to tie up and Charlotte had already occupied enough of its time.

Little did Charlotte know, the nightmare...her nightmare had only just begun!
