Nathan's Perspective

I am a complete twat...

I couldn't believe I did that. I kissed Melody and I loved every single second of it. I knew she did too. I saw the betrayal in her eyes as I took the key from the belt of her dress. If I could I would have never ended it, but the lads were watching us and I couldn't wait. The Bloods were there after all.

After I got the key I managed to persuade the lads into tying the men up and locking them in a closet and then we would call the police after we got the diamonds so they could clean up the mess. It took a lot of heavy work and hitting some of the men over the head when they started to stir awake. Other then that it was pretty simple.

As we left the house, we were all obviously pumped with excitement.

"Mate, that was genius," Tom said to me, jumping around like the little boy he was or acted like. Being the oldest doesn't always make you more mature.

"Wasn't nice to play her heart though," Siva said. He was always the one to make everything seem more serious and he was always right.

"We had to get the key, there was no other option," I said as Max unhooked Boris and we went in the direction of where the diamonds would be.

"You could of simply taken it," Max said, "It was right there. She was tied up."

"Just drop it," I sighed.

"Baby Nath kissed a girl," Jay boosted, ruffling my hair as he did.

I pushed him away laughing as I did so, but I couldn't stop thinking a Melody. She was still in that room, her hands bound, probably hating me. I don't know her, I don't believe in love at first sight, but from the moment I saw her she intrigued me.

30 Minutes Later

We made it. In thrity minutes Max, Jay, Tom, Siva, and I made were staning over the ledge that over looked the ocean with a thick metal chain falling over the side. It took us awhile to find the exact spot, but it didn't take us that long.

Siva started to haul the box up with his left foot on the ledge to get a better pull while Jay grabbed onto the excess chain. In no time we were able to get it all the way up and water started to seep out of the cracks.

Tom got in charged and put the key in the lock to open it up. And then there they were. They were small diamonds, but there were many wrapped up in a cloth.

"Looks 'bout right," Tom said, smiling down at the diamonds admiring them.

"Think we could get some?" Jay wondered. His mind immediately went to beer I would think.

Siva fixed his coat, "Doubt it, but we better get some money. We got battle bruises to prove our hard work."

"What's wrong, mate?" Max wondered, looking at me.

"Mmmm, nothing," I responded staring into space. "I ummm I'll be back."

"Where you going?" Jay asked.

"Nowhere. Just go to Big Kev, I'll be back in a couple of hours," I said, already walking away from them.

"Ok," I heard Tom say behind me then close the diamonds.

I just hoped I wouldn't be late.

Melody's Perspective

I hate him. I hate him. I hate him. It took me ten minutes to finally tear the black tape and trust me it is not that easy. Once the tape was off I yanked the cloth off from around me mouth. I licked my lips trying to moisten them and then got to work on the tape around my ankles. It hurt to feel the tape peel at my skin but it was bearable.

After I searched frantically for my heels which I found outside the room in the hallway. I didn't feel like wearing them, but I was sore from last night so I carred them in my hand. I was only afraid of bumping into Ethan. I don't know what would happen. Not to mention Jerry. What will he say once he knows I've failed. I've seen what happens to some men who aren't successful. Death.

I opened up all the doors as I made my way out the building looking everywhere for Ethan. When I opened up a closet door I saw why they weren't swarming the bulding. All of them were tied up. Ethan was the only one awake and he looked at me furious which only caused me to laugh. The Wanted. They were responsible.

I shut the door even as I head Ethan groan in protest to be let free. Not a chance.

In that moment as I walked out of the house I regretted not bringing my cell phone along. I thought I would lose it and that was the one thing Jerry wouldn't buy new for me.

I was walking down the street starting to get familiar with my surroundings. I was going to go after The Wanted even if it would cost me my life. I'm going to die anyways so I might as well do it on my own terms,

"Melody," A voice said behind me. I knew that voice. Nathan.

I didn't want to face him. I was to scared, but this is what I wanted right? "What do you want?" I said without turning to look at him.

"I'm sorry," He said softly.

I turned around and looked at him then, "No!" I said pointing an accusing finger at him, "You don't get to say that, not after what you did."

"Mel-" He sighed grabbing for my arms to pull me close to him, but I pushed him away with all my force.

"Was that your whole plan? Did you know who I was to begin with? I can't believe you!" I yelled. I was on the brink of tears but it was more from exhaustion.

"No. No it wasn't."

"Get away from me," I said. He tugged at my arms to try to stop me from leaving. But I wouldn't take that. I started shoving him again but he wouldn't let go. Instead I tried hitting him in the chest, but he was stronger then I anticipated.

He let go of my arms, grabbed my face, and kissed me again. I melted. I went slack and let him kiss me, not knowing what else to do, but stand still.
