Nathan's Perspective

As we made our way up the stairs to our flat I knew things would go wrong. I didn't want to worry Melody, but the truth was she wouldn't be accepted. We would have to fight for her to stay here...

Melody's Perspective

I know what I'm doing, but I couldn't ignore the pang in my stomach that ordered me to leave while I still could. My phone was buzzing endlessly with texts from Jerry and even a few phone calls. Nathan asked if everything was alright and when I told him it was probably Jerry I felt him get protective.

Nathan was too nice to be apart of any of this, but sadly he was stuck in the middle.

My hand was pressed firmly in Nathan's and I found comfort in this. Nathan squeezed my hand in his as he unlocked the door and dragged me into their flat. I felt like closing my eyes and curling myself into a tight ball in the corner. I wanted escape.

What have I gotten myself into?

In the living room I could see Tom lounging around on the couch with his IPhone in his hands as he texted away. He was the only one present...for now.

He didn't look up as he said, "Hey mate. Where did you go?"

"'Bout that..." Nathan trailed off. Tom looked up from his phone due to the sound of Nath's voice. His eyes widened and he quickly stood up.

"What is this?" Tom said, not quite angry but close enough.

"She needs a place to say," Nathan explained.

"She's a Sentra, Nath. We can't have one of them crawling in our house." Tom seethed. I wanted to defend myself, slam my fist into his face and spit in his face. I couldn't. Not if I wanted to place nice here and actually stay for awhile.

Tom suddenly looked down at our hands clasped together and then started laughing and clutching his stomach, "I see now!"

"Tom," Nathan said in all seriousness.

Tom held up a finger and walked to a door and opened it. The rest of the "band" must have been in there because I heard Tom say, "We have a big situation. Nath is back and he brought a friend."

"Friend?" I heard Max say. The rest of the boy walk out of the room and stop dead in their tracks causing the curly haired one Jay to stumble into the rest of the boys almost falling.

"What have you done?" Jay asked after he recovered.

"She needs a place to stay," Nathan explained.

"This isn't good," said Siva. The boys looked concern besides Tom who was lounging in the corning laughing.

"We can't trust her," Max said.

"We can!" Nathan tried, squeezing my hand reassuringly; but what he didn't know was that Max was right. They can't trust me. " She can't go home."

"Why?" Jay asked.

"She will be killed if she goes back for not bringing back the diamonds." Nathan responded.

I saw a flash of sympathy in Max's eyes.

Nathan's Perspective

The boys don't seem to fond of the idea of Melody staying with us but after some deliberation and fighting they give in. Although they didn't think is was a good idea they didn't like the idea of Melody going back to her uncle.

It came to terms that Melody would sleep in my room. 1) I didn't think it was comfortable on the couch. 2) I don't trust the boys to play nice. 3) I don't trust the boys to not flirt and get sexual with her.

~Later that night~

I can't sleep. Melody, a Sentra, was sleeping in my bed as I slept on the floor. I can't deny this feeling I have for her, but it was weird. Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but I was afraid she would pull a knife on me, but the boys already searched her for weapons and when Big Kev came home he made sure to run a medal detector on her. It was absolutely horrific watching everything go down.

Melody shifted on my bed and I heard her whisper, "Nathan?"

I moved to look up towards the bed, "Yeah?"

"I want to thank you," she paused, "for letting me stay here with you after everything."

"I think I owed it to you after what I did," I said.

"But you came back for me so I forgive you," She said. "Can I asked you a question?"

"You already did," I laughed as I saw her head poke over the edge of the bed with a frown.

"Fine," Melody huffed, "Can I ask you another question?"

"Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you just did," I said. Before I could think Melody quickly throws a pillow at my face which leaves us both in hysterical fits.

"Really tho," She said. "Why did you come back in all seriousness."

"I had to help the damsel in distress."

"Whatever," Melody laughed, then she shifted back in the bed. "You don't have to sleep on the floor Nathan."

"Really?" I asked just to be certain.

"It's your bed, so you can sleep on it."

So I did.

Melody's Perspective

I watched Nathan sleep and it was probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. His face was so relaxed and I could hear his breathing which gave me comfort. His hair fell on his forehead and I wanted nothing more then to brush it from his face. So that's what I did.

Nathan's Perspective

I'm not sleeping, but Melody thinks I am. I don't was her to stop caressing my face.
