Melody's Perspective

I held the diamonds in my hands and then quickly stuffed them into my bad. The alarms were still going off and the water was still coming down. Eventually someone would figure out what was going on and come after me.

When I turned around I stopped dead in my tracks. Right in front of me blocking the doorway was three well built guys. They weren't wearing any weapons so this should be easy.

"You can either come quietly or..." One said as he held up a taser. So maybe they were equipped.

"What's the latter?" I asked. "You know, like is there anyway I can leave quietly? No harmed done?"

The water stopped and it was quiet as the water dripped to the grown from my hair. I pushed the hair that was falling out back inside of Nathan's hat.

The guy who spoke tsked then turned on the taser. Apparently I wasn't getting the latter.

As one came for me and made a grab for me I dropped to the ground, the water helping me, and slid my legs through his. He dropped down with a thud, his head making a loud crack on the hard wood floor. I cringed at the sound, but I couldn't stop and think of what I just did because he was out cold.

I had to disarm the one with the taser so as he came for me I kicked up my leg aiming for his hand. Sadly I didn't make it that far and ended up hitting his side. He staggered back as my legs went out from under me.

Damn slippery ground.

The other guy that didn't have the taser got on top of me and pinned me down to the floor. I struggled against him but he was just to strong.

"We won't hurt you if you just come calmly with us." He grumbled.

"I doubt that!" I sneered. Out of the corner of my eye the guy with the taser was coming closer. I could actually hear the electricity echoing off the walls. My heart started to thump against my chest.

I struggled one last time against the guy who held me pinned down.

"Just let me go!" I screamed.

Nathan's Perspective

How am I supposed to stare at the camera screen and watch them hurt her? I am the cause of this. It was my plan.

"I just want to know if you are happy this plan of yours." Siva whispered from behind me so no one else would here.

I finally turned away from the security cameras and said, "Not like I can stop it now."

"She won't forgive you, mate," Seev told me.

"Maybe that's just the way things are supposed to be."

"It doesn't have to be," he said and went back to stand by Tom.

"Just let me go!" I heard Melody's voice scream through the speaker of the security cameras.

I walked out of the room. I couldn't hear anymore. She won't forgive me once she knows I'm the one behind all of this. She will hate me.

It's to late anyways. There really is no going back.

And I can't go back in there and just stare at the screen like I'm okay with everything that is happening.

"What do you mean she's gone!" I heard Big Kev's voice from the room. I quickly burst through the door and took in the tv that crackled with static. Taken out. Big Kev was talking furiously through the phone.

"What's happened?" I asked Jay.

Jay looked at me, "I don't know. The camera just went out and next thing we know we are getting a call saying that she is gone."

Jay said more but I didn't allow him to finish because I ran out the door without giving a second glance back.

Melody's Perspective

"You didn't have to help me," I grumbled from the back seat of the van. I never told Jerry where I was going but he always somehow knew when I needed help and would be able to find me. Just before that taser touched my skin, Jerry and his crew busted in and took those guys down fast. I was mad that they had to save me but grateful that I didn't get electrocuted in  the neck.

"You're safe now though right?" Jerry asked.

"I'm fine," I moaned. I grabbed a fistful of my shirt and rung it out so the water would come out and then took off Nath's hat to dry my hair.

"Not in the car!" said Cora, the one who helped me get ready the night of the party, from the front seat. "This car is new!"

"It looks like it needs a little washing," I said as I rung out another part of my shirt. She tsked and went back to looking out the window which was what I was hoping for.

Jerry sighed, "Are you hurt at all?"

"I'm fine, just a little shaken up," I said.

"Those boys, The Wanted, or whatever they were called, the ones you were staying with. Do they know where you are at? Were you followed?" He asked.

And I actually thought he cared about my safe being. Obviously not. "No, I don't think so."

"What do you mean you don't think so?" He asked.

"I wasn't exactly worrying about them because I was focused on getting the diamonds!" I said. Jerry can be a little irritating at times. All I wanted to do was go home, take a hot shower, dress in warm dry clothes, have a cuppa, and curl up in my bed.

"Speaking of diamonds. Do you have them?" Jerry asked.

"Ugh," I stopped.

Suddenly thoughts of Nathan overcame my mind. His laugh. His smile. His voice. His hugs. When he kissed me. The way he said umm a lot when he spoke. When he played around with his hair. When he sung on stage, but most of all was the way he looked at me like he actually cared about me.

"Well?" Jerry urged. By then everyone in the car was staring at me, waiting for my answer.

"No," I said as I carefully hid my bag a little behind me. My father wouldn't want this anyways. When he was alive, nothing was this bad. He didn't hurt people. It was more of the territory factor, but once he died everything changed. I changed. I was never to be put in The Sentra gang but Jerry had given me no choice.

"Stop the car!" Jerry yelled. The car came to a sudden halt. Cars around us honked and were forced to go around us.

Crap

"Mel," Cora said, "Why won't you give him the diamonds. We all know you have them."

"I don't," I said.

Then the car door on my side was opened and Jerry pulled on my arm forcing me out. He threw me down to the side of the street. I landed on my bag and felt the sharp edges of the diamonds dig into my side.

"Would you like to tell me where the diamonds are?" Jerry growled from above me.

"Jerry stop!" I heard Cora yell as she jumped out of the car.

"Get back inside Cora," He said.

"I never got a chance to get them!" I said. "They came on to me. It must have all been a set up or the wrong room because the diamonds weren't there!"

"Don't lie to me!" Jerry sneered.

"Jer," Cora pleaded.

"What would be the point of lying?" I asked and I could hear the fright in my voice which I so badly wanted gone, "What would have the point of this whole thing if I would end up not giving you the diamonds?"

"You've been with those boys for a while now. How do you expect me to believe that nothing changed while you were gone?" He asked.

"Because nothing did." I said. "I wouldn't betray my dad's business by giving in to them. You should know that."

I honestly thought bringing my dad into it would work.

I guess I was wrong because Jerry took out a knife from his belt. I guess guns were to mainstream for him.

And I was down 4 against 1. This wouldn't play out well.
