Chapter 31 ~ Coming Back

Melody's Perspective

~1 week later~

I watched silently as Nathan packed his belongings. It took him an hour to tell his new friend Jazlyn everything. About being Nathan James Sykes from The Wanted (which cause a lot of "OMG" and "I thought you looked familiar!" and "But he's dead") and then the whole situation that happened in the past year or so.

She didn't take it well when he told her he was going back to London to settle things but she understood. She left a few days before like her and Nathan had planned to do before he saw Siva and I a week ago. I was glad when Nath said he would come back with us for sure. A part of me thought he would want to stay in LA because he started a new life.

"Are you excited?" I asked him. I was laying down on his bed looking up on the ceiling. We were to meet the boys in less then an hour at the airport.

"I'm thrilled," He said, "But I'm nervous. Kev is not going to be happy."

"Maybe, but you should of fought harder to stay with us."

"Can we not talk about this?" The whole subject stressed out Nathan more then he already was.

"What do you want to talk about?" I wondered.

"Mmmmmm, nothing," Nathan then he fell down on top of me with his arms near my head so he wasn't putting any weight on me. He looked into my eyes and then pressed his lips against mine.

I laughed and broke away a little asking, "If this is how life is going to be with you all the time, then I'll gladly go wherever you go."

"Then this is how life is going to be," He laughed and kissed me again until his phone rang from the end table. He lifted himself off of me and went to answer it. "We'll be there soon." he said into the phone.

I got up from his bed and started to zip up his suitcase then leave his and my own by the door where the bell hop will grab it.

"I'm not always late!" I head Nathan laugh into the phone because he knows for a fact he is. "Okay, see you soon, Jaybird."

"You ready?" I asked once he put his phone in his back pocket.

"Yea," He responded after looking around the hotel room one last time. He was beyond being nervous at this point. Our plane leaves at 3pm which means we will be in the UK by 10am which means he can see his family right away if he wanted to.

Nathan's Perspective

Stepping in the airport I had to put on a pair of sunglass and keep my hood up as long a possible. The boys were afraid people will notice the four of them and if they saw me then all hell would break loose.

No one gave me a second glance but as always that is expected. Melody and I trailed behind as the others walked ahead of us. I watched as two girls noticed the four and the girls and quickly walked up to them.

"Jay!" One exclaimed. The boys stopped and turned, waiting for the two to approach them. I grabbed Melody's hand to pull her off to the side. I watched as they happily greeted the girls and took pictures.

I barely heard the other girl say to Tom, "I'm really sorry about Nathan."

"Thanks, babe," He said, "It's hard but we are pulling through."

I wished I could just go up to them and make myself present, but it wasn't the right time. What bothered me the most is what the fans will think when they learn the truth. Will they hate me for lying? Or will they be excited that I'm still alive? It's only a matter of time.

"I think it's safe now," Melody said. The girls were retreating and the boys continued on their way. We followed then soundlessly.

An hour later we were boarded on the plane and on our way back to the UK.

~Hours Later~

We decided it would be best to go to visit my mum's first and get things cleared up, but in all honesty I am exhausted and all I can think about is my bed. But I have my mates for support so I'm ready.

We got a couple of taxi's and we are officially on our way to Gloucester.

I mess with Melody's fingers all the way there.

She looks up at me and in a soft tired voice asked, "Do you ever regret meeting me?"

"Sometimes," I told her honestly. I see a panic behind her eyes but quickly say, "But I don't think my life would have felt complete if it wasn't for you. You gave me an adventure and it's all because I Found You."
