Melody's Perspective

Everyone was going to Las Vegas: Jay, Max, Tom, Kelsey, Siva, and Nareesha. We left that weekend, but we decided not to tell Big Kev because we knew he would object. He never liked the idea of us going out without him and we didn't want him to tag along. Ever since Nathan died he never left our sides and seemed more over protective then when the five of them were in The Wanted.

We were to leave at 11:00 this morning and the flight would be eleven hours. I was really nervous about leaving the country, but also excited to get away from all the memories. A part me had hoped that I could go with Nathan. When I was with him, I had always imagined leaving everything behind to go somewhere with him, but I always denied it. I denied everything.

"I can't believe we are finally going to Vegas!" Kelsey said from the living room as she was helping Tom pack his last minute necessities. Although they were being highly unproductive even though we have to be at the airport in at least an hour or not sooner.

"It has been awhile," Tom commented as he shoved some socks and shoes in his suitcase.

Even thought I have been living with the boys for awhile I still didn't have that many things or clothes, but I liked it that way since it meant I had less to hold onto and miss.

"Are you all ready?" I asked as I lugged my one and only suitcase to the pile of the others.

"Almost," Jay said from the kitchen as he downed the last of a beer can.

"Jay," Max said in his authority voice.

"What? I'm stressed, I need my beer," He said and then threw the can in the trash.

It took about ten minutes, but we were finally in a taxi van and on our way to the airport to catch our flight. We were planning on staying in Vegas for a week which was the boys idea, not mine.

I was ready to let go.

12 Hours later

By the time we got to Las Vegas we were all absolutely exhausted and didn't get that much sleep on the plane. Right now in the UK it is 22:00 but seeing as there is an eight hour difference it is 14:00 on the same day.

I knew the boys would last a few hours since they usually party until 4:00 at the most, but we decided to head straight to the hotel and get a few hours of sleep until we head out on the strip. The boys had gotten a lot of money converted into US dollars to gamble, but only I was not able to gamble seeing as I just turned nineteen two months ago. Can't even go drinking, but they did promise they would give me some drinks.

Las Vegas has turned out to be more then I expected: the lights, the buildings, the people, and just the scenery in general.

We stayed at the Luxor which is the hotel that looks like a pyramid. The rooms where really exquisite even though one wall is slanted due to the shape of the hotel, but I was glad we were just in Vegas. We each had our own room, but the couples did share, and this was all complementary of Big Kev without him knowing.

Speaking of Big Kev, he was furious when Tom answered his phone finally after about twenty phone calls on each of our phones. He wasn't fond of the idea that we left with out telling him, but we are all old enough to do stuff on our own and Big Kev shouldn't be sheltering them anyways.

After we all unpacked, slept for a few hours, and then had some drinks, which I am going have to try and hide (the drinking age in the US really suck), we decided to head out on the strip.

I had decided to wear a short tight black dress with red platform heels. I curled my hair and put it to the side, then put on a light amount of makeup. There were some cat calls from cars that passed by as Kels, Nareesha, and I walked arm in arm with the boys trailing behind us.

The time was 21:00 AKA 9:00pm by the time we left so the lights on the strip were all lite up and it was a breathtaking sight.

As we were walking we stopped by the Bellagio and watch the water shot up into the sky.

"It's so beautiful," Nareesha commented.

"Can we just go to the bar or somethin'?" Tom asked from behind us.

"Here," I said as I handed Tom my camera, "Take a picture of Kelsey, Nareesha, and I."

After a few photos with the girls, we were able to get a few group shots from a nice lady who we thought we could trust not to run with my camera.

But finally we eventually gave into Tom's request to go to the bar.

Kelsey had eventually ended up walking with the boys and it was just Nareesha and I.

"How have you been holding up?" Nareesha asked me. "I know we haven't been able to talk about it, but..."

I didn't have to ask her to know she was talking about Nathan. "I'm fine. I think by now I've gotten use to losing people I ugh love, but it still hurts."

"You didn't know him long." She said.

"And that's why I think it is harder, I didn't get a chance to really know him."

She nodded in agreement and linked her arm in mine. We went the rest of the way in quiet. Nareesha and I had never really talked and gotten to know each other. I know she has millions of questions about The Sentras and about how I really felt about Nathan, but I never gave her the chance.

I tried to ignore my thoughts when we reached the bar and they all got drinks except Siva who wanted to be the designated person and stop us from doing anything crazy. Max did get an extra drink to give to me which I sipped on silently.

We spent an hour or so drinking until we were quite intoxicated and then the ones who were legal enough went to gamble except Siva who dragged me out into the night air to get sober which I didn't want at the time.

"I think it's time to get you back to the hotel," Siva said as he held my arm. "Don't want you to get caught."

"But it's, Vegas, Seev. No one is going to do anything," I laughed as I tried to take his arm off me. The truth was I liked the feeling of being out in Vegas, drinking and not giving a damn to what anyone thought of me.

"Melody, the last time Nathan drank in Vegas being underagged he got in trouble." He told me.

I yanked me arm out of his hand. "Let's not talk about Nathan okay? Let me just go back inside."

As I backed up away from Siva a girl bumped me which I think was by accident in the shoulder and Siva had to reach out and steady me. The girl was petite even with heels on. She was a brunette who wore to much makeup and needed to cover herself up more.

"Oh, sorry," She quickly apologized as she hurried out of the building Siva and I were previously just in.

"Bitch," I sighed.

"Melody," Siva said sternly.

"Siva," I mocked as my glaring eyes followed the girl as she crossed the busy street to the Bellagio where we were at maybe four hours ago? It was hard to remember. I watched as she was enveloped into the arms of some guy.

Some guy who looked awfully familiar.

I brought my hand to my mouth and stumbled into Siva. "Oh my god," I moaned and felt as my eyes started to prickle with tears.

"What is it?" Siva asked with concern. "Melody?"

I tried to point my finger in the direction of the girl and the guy but my hands were shaking uncontrollably.

"Melody? Who is it?" He asked as he followed my gaze.

"Nathan." I whispered.

A/N ~ Sorry if it's awful. I tried. :P
