Melody's Perspective

Maybe I had more to drink then I thought I did. That had to be the case because how on earth am I seeing Nathan right now. He is dead. They put the casket he was in down inside the hole that was dug. Why would the hospital lie about him being dead?

But there I see him with some girl over by the Bellagio. His hair nicely quaffed covered in a snapback, wearing his jeans slung low like he always did ,and a printed shirt like always. That had to be Nathan. I couldn't be imagining it.

Once Nathan's name had slipped past my lips I felt Siva stiffen beside me as he finally narrowed down on the guy. He must have now seen it too because he isn't answering my calls to him. Just by his response to my saying it was Nathan has to be clue that I didn't drink to much. Siva is 100% sober.

"Siva?" I asked as I continued to stare off into the distance where Nathan was leaning against the railing, smiling, and talking to the girl.

"Impossible," Siva choked. "He's dead."

"A look alike?" I wondered helplessly. I mean what are we supposed to do. Should we go up to him to see if it's really him? But it is impossible. Why would we be lied to? Why would he be here? But an aching feeling in my gut told me it had to be him. We didn't see him body and not even his family when they begged and were turned down because Big Kev didn't want to bring on a wave of emotion on a heartbreaking day.

Did Kev ship him to the states? Why? Was this the reason why we weren't allowed to go anywhere with out him?

"I would know Nathan anywhere. I've known him for a long time," Siva said.

"What do we do?" A part of me wanted to just go up to him and hug him even if it wasn't Nathan. He looked so much like him.

Without answering my question Siva started walking towards the guy who looked like Nathan and the girl. Before he could cross the street I ran after him and tugged on his arm to stop him. "You're just going to go up to him?"

"What else am I supposed to do? If this is Nathan and he really isn't dead then he has a lot of explaining to do. How could he do this to us?" Siva explained as his eyes started to glass over with tears.

"Shouldn't we get the boys first?" I wondered. I wanted to delay this as much as possible. My heart was pounding against my chest and I felt like throwing up.

"No, if it isn't him then we would just give them false hope and if it is we don't want to scare Nathan." He said, "We also don't want him disappearing before we get a chance."

I nodded my head in agreement and we started to cross the street. My hands were shaking and I had to hold onto Siva's arm. I reached down and tugged off my heels to carry them because I felt like I was going to fall and just pass out.

The closer we got to the guy the more his features started to come into focus and the more I knew this was Nathan. The girl must have said something funny because it caused Nathan's familiar laugh to fill the air. My hand tightened on Siva's arm.

Nathan must have felt our presence because suddenly his face lingered away from the girl as he turned and looked in our direction and froze.

Nathan's Perspective

Kev is the one who shipped me off to the states and the one who told me to make a life here. He even gave me a new identity of Nicholas Jay Smith. Of course I've had people comment on how I looked like Nathan Sykes from The Wanted, but they knew it was impossible because he died. I would just laugh it off and then do my fake American accent.
