AN: Thank you guys so much for 6.3k reads! I cannot believe how popular my story is getting. Thank you all for the support you've shown me. I apologizeise for publishing slowly, however, I spent the first part of October celebrating my birthday which was on the 9th. Thank you all for your patience!
You sat at the table eating your snack while you pulled out your phone, "Hey Lydia, just wanted to check on you," You texted before putting your phone next to your plate to wait for the reply. You ate slowly, trying to give Freddy more time in the kiddy pool like you promised but you lost focus and stopped eating.
Something didn't feel right. So really didn't feel right. Millicent, Alex, Lydia. You kept thinking about them, why? Millicent was dead, sure as a fact, she was a girl you'd read about. Alex was missing as far as you knew, you hoped he'd be found but why do you keep imagining him as dead? Then it comes to Lydia, she's your best friend so it makes sense for you to think about her a lot! Right?
Before you knew it, nearly 20 minutes had passed. You shot out of your seat and ran outside to find Freddy still splashing around. "Alright, Freddy!" You called, "Time's up!" You saw Freddy begin to pout but he stepped out without a fuss, "Thanks," You said before tipping the pool over to drain the water.
"What's next, Y/N?" Freddy asked while he tilted his head slightly. "I'm not sure..." You walked while Freddy followed behind you till you were both inside and started to look through your bags. You reached inside one and pulled out a huge bag of foam, "Well start with this!" You proudly announced.
"Foam?" Freddy's head tilted again while he examined your crafting item, "What'd you need foam for?" He questioned, "You'll see!" You hinted while standing up, "Can you help me get these bags up to my room?" Freddy smiled before effortlessly picking up both large bags with one hand, "Of course, Cupcake!"
The both of you walked upstairs and into your room. Freddy sat the bags beside your bed, "Now what Lamb-Chop?" He asked while you brought out a large chunk of foam, a marker, and a box cutter, "Just stand still," You instructed while you sat on the edge of your bed with Freddy standing in front of you.
You began to trace out the shape of Freddy's chest on the foam and soon enough, you'd worked for six hours. Those hours were spent tracing, cutting, fitting, and placing. In the end result, Freddy had a thin layer of foam covering every inch of himself. "I look silly, Y/N." He huffed, "Well I'm not done yet!" You remarked.
The next step was putting some fur on him. You'd bought light purple and white sheets of fur that you spent an hour shaving down till they only had a thin layer of fuzz left. You used purple for his chest, muzzle, inner ears, and his cheeks while the white covered everything else. You were careful and made sure his sensors, joints, and faceplates still worked properly.
After almost nine hours of work, you were done. After the six hours of foam work, Freddy powered off to save himself the boredom, "I guess he'll have to see himself tomorrow..." You told yourself before lying down on your bed. It only took you fifteen minutes before you'd fallen asleep.
The next day, you woke up and felt something tickling your nose. Your eyes cracked open and you saw Freddy's muzzle pressed against your face. You giggled and sat up, "Morning, Lamb-Chop!" Freddy greeted while stifling his laugh. "I'm assuming you've seen your improvements?" You questioned. Freddy nodded excitedly, "You did great, Cupcake!" He congratulated, "I've never looked better!"
You smiled as you threw your legs over the side of the bed and stretched. You grabbed your phone to check the time but the six missed calls you had from your parents. You tried calling them back and they picked up after the second ring, "Are you okay, baby?" Your mom asked with obvious worry in her voice.
"Yes!" You reassured her, "Why wouldn't I be?" The other end was silent for a moment before your dad spoke up, "Lydia is going to be on trial for murder," He blurted out. You started to panic, Lydia was a fighter but not a murderer! "This has to be some kind of mistake!" You accused.
Freddy's POV:
I listened to the conversation between Y/N and her parents. My plan had worked better than intended yet it didn't make much sense. It doesn't make sense that they're already set on having a trial! They have no evidence that it was Lydia other than the body being in her yard but the police should be well aware that she was simply dumped there. I assumed she'd be questioned but not on trial.
Why did I care? Lydia could be in jail and away from Y/N and me, that's something to be happy about! The problem was that she'd be away but not out of reach. If there was a chance for Y/N to see Lydia, she would. I could do away with Lydia the same way I did with Alex but if Lydia being in jail upsets Y/N this much, I can't imagine how devastated she'd be if Lydia went missing or was found dead!
My hands are tied behind my back, I'm running out of moves. I don't know how much longer till Lydia's trial or till Y/N's parents are home and it's worrying me. I can't let Y/N figure out what I'm doing even though I'm not exactly why I'm doing it. I used to love people. Adults, kids, and teens alike but one day, I started to notice things. One day, I started to see more than a crowd of families watching me.
I started to see kids making fun of each other, I saw dads grab their kids by the wrist and twist it till they cried all while they kept telling them to quiet down. I noticed every time a mother screamed at their son for interrupting their phone call. I saw every insult, injury, bruise, and mark that was left on those kids.
I used to love every person I met but now I feel like I despise all of them, except Y/N. She's not the kindest I'm sure, she's probably not considered the prettiest, but she reminds me of how much better I felt when I was naive. I don't understand how she makes me feel like this, and I don't think I care to. All I know is that she's staying with me, no matter what.
