Freddy screamed and thrashed around while strapped to a table as Dave ripped his wires out. You stood back watching from behind a glass barrier, screaming at him to stop, but all that came out were incoherent ones and zeros. Freddy's violent protests started to subside as Dave pulled at his remaining wires. Freddy looked over at you, quivering, and in one final chance at help, he held his hand out to you. Freddy's hand dropped to his side as his last wire was ripped out of his robotic body.

You shot up, hyperventilating as you looked around your room. Your sweat-soaked hands touched your face as you calmed yourself. You slowly laid back down just to help yourself relax. You grabbed your phone and checked the time, 6:28 A.M. You were ready. You quietly stood up and grabbed your phone, bags, and the business card Dave had given you.

Your door creaked loudly when you opened it, the sound put you on edge. The stairs, cabinets, and floorboards all seemed to scream at you, why did everything sound so much louder when you wanted to be quiet? You put the last can in your bag as you slowly zipped it shut. You opened the front door and walked down the driveway.

You wrapped your arms around yourself to try and stay warm but felt a shiver every time another breeze blew past you. You walked further, nearing the bus stop. Dawn was only just beginning to overcome the night, rays of sun filtered through the rows of trees. The sight made your walk seem less like you were leaving home, but going somewhere better.

You sat on the cold, wooden bench at the bus stop, listening to the sounds of early morning hustle. Occasional cars flew by and birds chirped sweetly, but the lingering sense of dread still clung to you, like thorns had wrapped and twisted around your chest. The bus rolled to a stop and opened its door welcomingly to you, inviting you inside.

The bus was far from crowded, only a few seats were taken as you walked down the aisle to an empty spot. You took out the card again and rechecked the phone number. "1-800-FAZ-FAZBEAR." You dialed it once more and listened intently as it rang.

"You've reached Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental! How can I help?" Asked a very clearly scrapped teenage boy. "I was wondering if I could speak to "Dave?" Is he there?" You crossed your legs while you listened to the boy's hushed tone as he spoke to someone else. "Y/N!" Dave called from the other end, "It's great to be hearing back from you, and so early too!" His voice boomed excitedly.

You nervously laughed at his enthusiasm, "I was wondering if I could schedule a meeting with you, preferably soon..." Dave and the boy again spoke in quiet tones; something about "cancel this" or "rescheduled that." "How about this afternoon? 4:30-ish, does that work for you Y/N?" You smiled to yourself, "Sure, I'm free then!"

"Perfect." Dave said, "We will be seeing you soon Y/N." The call ended and you shoved your phone back in your bag. The bus shook as it drove down a particularly rocky road. You had a lot to get done today, at the next stop you thought about all the other stops that were going to be made. A short nap couldn't do too much harm, right? As the bus started to move again, it rocked you softly. You set a timer for 30 minutes and finally let yourself fall asleep.

Freddy sat in a dim room with a muzzle bound to his face, growling at those who surrounded him. He flinched at the slightest movement, fearing what they'd do to him. You stood behind the crowd, desperately shoving yourself to the front to help him. All of a sudden, they knocked you to the floor and started to rip him apart. You just watched, listening to his faint cries grow louder.

"Last call for Rugby Lane!" The driver announced as your alarm sounded. You hurried off the bus and sighed, relieved that you'd just barely made your stop. You walked to a small building and rang the bell as a woman walked out from the back, "Yeah?" She said harshly, a lit cigarette hanging from her mouth, "What'd you want?" She asked, putting the cigarette out on the countertop and leaving a faint burn mark.

"A room," You folded your hands over your chest, "I filled out a form online for a room." The woman looked you up and down as she re-lit the cigarette, "A little young, aren't you? You don't got a damn clue about what you's doin'." She scoffed, "Rents 1,500. Is your daddy payin'?" Her snarky attitude disappeared when you slammed a wad of cash you had been saving for the past three to four years on the counter, "That's 3,000. Two months rent." She smiled and took the money, shoving it into her pocket.

She grabbed a rusty key from a drawer and handed it to you, "Apartment 6B, can't have no pets, no parties, and you better not mess up the furniture." She walked straight into the back again, getting an apartment was that easy? This place was sketchy but at least you had a place.

You managed to find which apartment was yours and set your stuff down, the place was clean enough and the bed sheets at least looked like they'd been washed. 3:42 P.M. While you'd like to stay and tidy up, you needed to get going if you didn't want to be late for your meeting with Dave.

The next bus that picked you up was much more crowded than the last one, the important thing was that you were on time.

You walked into Circus Baby's, watching as kids ran wildly around the animatronics. "Y/N!" Dave called to you, "Right on time, just as expected!" Dave ushered you in, taking you to an office. "It's a pleasure to have you on our team!" You cleared your throat loudly, interrupting Dave's excitement.

"I do want the job but what position would I work? I mean, I'm good with robotics, I can stay up late..." Dave's smile widened, "A technician would be the perfect position! We're needing one and I've seen how you've fixed Funtime Freddy, you are a great fit!" You smiled, "How's $16 an hour sound?"

Your mouth gapped but quickly shut, "How many hours would I work?" Dave shuffled some papers, "Just clock in at about 12 A.M., and do the tasks I give you, shouldn't take more than a few hours." He stared at a paper momentarily, "But I know you really like spending time with Funtime Freddy, so if you stay a while longer without clocking out, you'll be paid for however long you stay."

"So when can you start?" Your face lit up, "Tonight! I can start tonight!" Dave nodded and wrote something down, "Alright, 12 A.M. Y/N. Don't forget, I know Funtime Freddy's dying to see you," He laughed, standing up and organizing his papers. "Thank you! I'll be there!" You turned around and grabbed the door knob.

"Y/N!" Dave yelled, making you jolt, "Yes?" You asked quietly. Dave threw a large black bag at you, "You'll be needing that."
