Your breath hitched as you stared at the large figure towering in the threshold of the door.

"We've been looking for you for a while." Circus Baby said softly, smiling at you. You got up and walked back over to her, trying to calm your still racing heart.

"Thanks Baby... I don't know how long I'd been stuck in here if you hadn't come." You smiled sheepishly, avoiding eye contact with her. Circus Baby gently grabbed your shoulder as she started leading you out of the room.

"It's no problem, Y/N. I'm just glad I found you... I believe your shift is over. You need rest." She continued to walk you through Ballora Gallery. The room was completely dark aside from the empty stage.

"Where's Ballora? Doesn't this place open soon?" You questioned. Baby's smile faltered slightly. She hesitated, staring at the stage for a moment. She continued walking.

"Ballora malfunctioned..." She said quietly, "She went against her programming and she is being repaired soon." Circus Baby turned to you again, her smile smeared back over her metal face, "The procedure is quite standard... Nothing to worry about, Ballora will be back to preforming soon enough."

As you reached the exit, Baby hugged you gently, being mindful of her large size. You exited the building and returned to your apartment to lay on the bed, despite the slight scent of musk that always seemed to linger, you found that you'd grown used to the arrangement.

As the tv was flicked on, Dave kicked back and settled into his couch. The sound of the news was largely drowned out as he looked through a file. "-young woman-... missing-... last seen with her family on-... contact-... details needed-... withheld currently-..." Dave didn't need to hear it, he already knew they were looking for you. He knew what he was doing was risky, but it would all be worth it in the end.

The day came and went, and soon you were back. You grabbed the note on the door, reading through your nightly tasks.

Restock party hats
Repair Funtime Foxy "C Joint"

You weren't sure what Foxy's C Joint, was but you guessed you could figure it out. You entered the building and started your tasks. You walked to the storage room and grabbed 4 bags of party hats before bringing them to the correct location. Easy.

You walked till you reached Funtime Auditorium and you quickly realized what the note meant by Foxy's C Joint. He sat on the edge of his stage with his arm limp at his side. You walked up to him, staring at his obvious injury.

"What happened?" You quizzed, gently taking his arms and looking at his C Joint, or right elbow. Foxy rolled his eyes, huffing and pouting. "I tripped on a chair playing tag!" He announced loudly. You bit your tongue at the volume, your ears rang loudly as you tried to refocus on your current task: fix Foxy.

You brought Foxy to Parts and Service and got him to sit down as you started working. "Where's Ballora? Shouldn't she be in here too?" Foxy's expression darkened. He looked towards the other side of the room. "She's probably resting in the back somewhere..." His tone was off: it was still above average but now it was as close to a whisper as it could get. It sounded less like an explanation and more like a silent prayer.

You nodded slowly, searching his face for any type of clarification but all you saw was longing. He must've really missed Ballora. They only seemed to have each other down here, and for one of them to be gone was probably devastating.

You continued with maintenance, picking at the joint till you found the problem: the mechanism was busted, probably from the fall. You started the repair, removing the broken pieces and replacing them. Foxy didn't speak to you, not even when you spoke first. It was like a switch inside of him had been flipped. You reattached his arm with the new joint and got him to test it out, making sure it worked properly. He never gave an answer, it was like he didn't care if he functioned properly. He left, and so did you.

You entered the breaker room and found Freddy staring at the sparks. You smiled and slowly walked up to him. You sat next to him and he smiled at you. "Did you enjoy your time at home?" He leaned back against the wall, looking at you expectantly.

You slid back to join him, letting your head rest against his chest. "Yeah..." you looked up at him, "I'm worried about Foxy though." Freddy gazed down at you, his eyes narrowing, "Whys that Cupcake?" He asked, his arm coming to wrap around you.

You shook your head, "I think he misses Ballora..." Freddy's tightened, his gears grinding. "What happened to Ballora?" His voice trembled, you turned back to him, quickly grabbing his hand. "She's okay!" You spit quickly, fearing an outburst. "She's alright, she had a malfunction and she's being repaired."

Freddy didn't seem to relax from your reassurance. "When will she be better...?" He mumbled. You sighed, "They didn't say... It shouldn't be long though." Freddy tensed up again.

"You aren't the one fixing her?" Shock was evident in his voice. You shook your head. Freddy stared off, clearly trying to restrain himself. He took deep breaths, his metallic chest rising and falling like the tides of an ocean.

As he calmed down, he nodded, seemingly coming to an understanding with himself. "Okay..." he looked at you, making sure you were listening, "Please tell me when she's better..." He pled, clearly just as worried as Foxy. You nodded, "Of course Freddy, anything for you." You took his hand in yours, squeezing it lightly. Freddy relaxed, his shoulder plates dropping an inch or so. He folded his arms over his chest, staring off into the darkness of the room.
