Amber's POV
"Happy eligibility, Amber!"
"Thankyou, tita." i smiled at Tita Jasline as she kiss my cheek before fixing my hair a little. Sandaling nilagyan ni Chae ng powder ang pisngi ko at nginitian ako. "You look so gorgeous! Your dress suits you." puri niya. Nandito kami ngayon sa bahay nila dahil minimake-upan niya ako. Mas bata siya sakin ng isang taon at minsan tinatawag niya kong ate pero palagi ko siyang pinagsasabihan.
"You are... a fashion designer student?" tanong ko sa kanya. Tumawa siya ng bahagya. "Soon. I'll take that course."
"In advance..." ani ko at bahagyang tumawa. "...I know you can reach it."
Sandali niyang kinuha ang maliit na box sa table at kinuha ang tulip necklace doon. Naglakad siya papunta sa likuran ko at sinuot iyon sakin. "Ang ganda."
"That's a magnificent gift i receive from someone." sabi ko at napangiti.
"Who's that someone?" tanong niya. Napailing naman ako. "I don't think so."
"All the guest are on the place, later magsisimula na ang program." sambit ni Tita. Inayos na naming lahat ang mga gamit. Tumayo na ako at inalalayan ako ni Chae palabas hanggang sa makapasok sa kotse.
I felt excitement and that somewhat tickle on my stomach, but at the same time, nervous. All birthdays that had past, is like a normal day with a simple celebration but it's different in feeling when you turn into the legality stage of your life. This day is the sign of maturity, then i think it's enough to understand things passing throughout me. Even in a year, i can give more esteem in my own growth. Just... just once, i can make myself understand that my journey isn't about love.
"After this celebration of yours, it's okay to have your own inspiration, ate." sambit ni Chae kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.
"Sometimes, you need to have enough time, spending with someone who make it throb." nakangiti niyang sabi at tinuro ang puso ko.
I want to make myself realize that this isn't yet about love but, what if it is?
"If i only have magic to stop this feelings for someone i knew i have no chance for." sabi ko at napayuko.
"No. You don't need to have magic just to attain that. If you are willing to move on, you can." saad niya at tinitigan ako ng makahulugan. "Maybe... You have still feelings and you can't let him go."
