Elenor didn't know how long she was out but when she woke up, she saw she was lying on the van floor and Ruby was lying beside her, out like a light. She felt a slight pain on her shoulder and wondered how she got it. She got up and got out of the van and saw Chubs and Liam outsid, sitting on a tree trunk and Zu was not to far, picking flowers.

When Liam saw her, He immediately got up and went over and hugged her and she hugged back.

"are you okay? How's your shoulder?" Liam asked as they pulled away.

"it's a little sore but other than that it's fine." Elenor said and Liam sigh with relief.

"what happened?" Elenor asked.

"see for yourself." Liam said and pointed to his mind.

"are you sure?" Seeing into his mind meant that he had to relive the memory and Elenor didn't want that for him.

"I'm sure." Liam reassured her.

"you're gonna get a hell of a surprise. not that it was a surprise to me." Chubs told her. Elenor's eyes glowed black as she entered into Liam's mind.

As Elenor entered his mind, she saw the scene. She saw Ruby getting hit and her falling to the ground and fainting. She saw Lady Jane pointing her gun at Liam and Liam tried to back away from the white noise but to no avail and he fell to the ground in pain. Elenor felt herself get mad and Liam must have felt her anger because she felt Liam holding her hand, trying to calm her down.

"Hello Liam." Lady Jane said with an evil smile.

"I love that kids can hear frequencies adults can't. There is some good in growing old I guess." Lady Jane said. Elenor saw Chubs and Zu trying to break free but the cuffs were on tight. Lady Jane stopped casting the white noise and handcuffed liam and put one knee on him to stop him from getting up.

"took you long enough Lady Jane. Are they gonna dock ou for slacking on the Job?" Liam asked and Elenor smirked at his remark.

"you alone fetch 150 thousand, baby. you should be proud." She was talking about how much she would earn selling Liam and Elenor felt disgusted that people could be this cruel.

"you've gone up the price since the last time I snagged you. what did you do? start another revolution?" Lady Jane asked.

"Just let them go, you can have me. I promise I won't give you any trouble." Was he serious? He was going to sacrifice himself?! Elenor made a mental note to smack him later. She also heard Chubs yell but she couldn't make out what he said. Seeing Zu cry made her blood boil. Lady Jane was going to pay for what she did if it's the last thing she did.

"that's a very generous offer Liam, but i'm gonna have to pass. she's worth 500 thousand." Lady Jane said, looking at Elenor.

"and considering I'm the one with the gun, the odds are in my favour." Lady Jane said. She looked at Elenor and got close to her.

"don't you dare hurt her." Liam threatened. Elenor's heart warmed at how much Liam cared for her.

"you care more about this one." Lady Jane said with a smirk.

"If you hurt her I swear I'm going to-"

"What are you going to do huh?" Lady Jane asked and kicked Elenor's shoulder hard. So that's why Elenor's shoulder hurt.
