chapter 4

Today was the day they were going to break out, Elenor couldn't wait for the day to end, they planned to break out at 12am, because that was the time when most guards would be on break, thinking that all the children would be asleep. during lunch and dinner, it was all the 5 of them could talk about, how they would break out and reviewing the plan again, they cannot screw this up, one wrong move and everyone was dead. The day moved by rather quickly and it was 11pm and Elenor, Jack and Liam were talking about how life would be outside of camp.

"what do you think it will be like outside? do you think much has changed since we came into camp?" Jack asked.

"I don't know but for Elenor, I'm pretty sure it would be a whole lot different." Elenor chuckled at Liam's statement. Honestly, Elenor didn't really know what would happen, would she go back to her family? but even if she did her parents would probably have forgotten her already. She decided that it would be a later problem and decided to focus on the mission.

Soon later, it was time to spring into action, the 3 of them got out of bed and looked outside. As planned, there were only a few guards at either end of the hallway and a few at the hallway across from theirs and it would be easy to take them down. Elenor was given the task to use her mind control abilities to bring the kids out of bed and outside while Liam and Jack took down the guards.

Elenor's eyes glowed black as she used her powers and guided the kids out of their dorms, it was draining her energy but she had to keep this up until everyone got out of the camp. The 3 of them met up with chubs and zu and they led the kids downstairs to the main gate. All was going well when the alarm suddenly rang and more guards came out of their break time.

"WE HAVE A BREAKOUT AT SECTOR 1. ALL GUARDS TO THAT SECTOR RIGHT NOW." Elenor heard one of the guards and got distracted and stopped using their powers. When the kids were out of the trance, they panicked when they saw guards chasing them and started running towards the main fence. The fence was electric so they couldn't touch the fence to push it down. Liam, Elenor and Jack used their telekinetic powers to break down the electric fence and the kids ran out of there as fast as they could. That was when the guards started shooting and killing the kids. Elenor realized that Jack was nowhere to be found and started looking for him. To her horror, she saw Jack lying on the ground, motionless.

"no no no no no" She ran to his body as kids swarmed around her.

"Jack come on wake up. Please wake up." she shook his body, hoping for him to wake up. Tears started forming in her eyes as she realised he was dead. Her best friend and brother was dead. A part of her died with him and she couldn't stop crying. Liam, chubs and zu ran up to her and when they saw Jack, they looked sorrowful and zu even cried a little.

"come on we have to go, we'll bring his body with us" Liam told them and they got up. Elenor suddenly saw red and went towards the shooting guards.

"Elenor what are you doing?!" Chubs called out to her but she continued to walk towards the guards. Her eyes glowed black and her mouth turned hot as fire came out of her mouth, burning all the soldiers and the camp with it. Chubs then ran to her and dragged her towards the exit, telling her it was time to go. She watched as the camp burned and got destroyed and she felt a great satisfaction knowing she killed the people who treated kids badly. As the kids continued to run out of the camp, Elenor saw Zu suddenly slip and fall on to the ground as kids continued to run around her towards the gate. Elenor used her superspeed and rushed over to Zu and picked her up and sped out of the place. she looked for Liam and saw him waiting for the rest of the group further down the road, carrying Jack's body on his back. She sped over to him and gently placed Zu on the ground.

"Wait here, I'll get Chubs." She then sped back to Chubs.

"For a second there I thought you were gonna leave me." Chubs joked, causing her to laugh.

"never." She offered her back to him and he climbed on and she sped off to where Liam, Zu and Jack were. When they were about to leave, they heard gunshots being fired. Didn't she kill off all the soldiers? Elenor was sure she burned them all.

"Hold on a second, I need to do something. wait here." Elenor let Chubs down on the ground and sped towards the camp. One by one, she used her superspeed to bring all the kids out of the camp. When everyone was out of the camp, she used her telekinesis power to pull the buildings down to the ground, making sure that the soldiers were killed in the process. She felt guilty killing people but it had to be done and it was to avenge Jack's death. She felt herself growing very weak from using too much of her powers. She had never used that much power before. She sped over to her friends and was breathing heavily.

"Elenor are you okay? You look a little pale." Liam asked in worry.

"I-" Elenor felt her legs go weak before passing out on the ground and the last thing she saw was Chubs running towards her and Liam calling her name.
