'Besides sword swings, maybe I should train my body? Hmm, I'm only 5 though it might be a little inefficient.... maybe just cardio?' thought one Midoriya Izuku after finishing up his sword swings.
He was confused. With what he read on the internet, cardio was good for heart health, burning calories and overall leg development. Perhaps if he asks mom to buy a treadmill? He was standing at 4'11" now, quite tall for his age if he does say so himself.
'She'd prefer buying a treadmill to letting me go outside at 6 AM, lord knows.'
The loud music coming from upstairs signified his mum had woken up. Pouring water into his now finished bowl of oatmeal, he drank a cup of water and headed upstairs to take a shower. He'll ask mom about it after school.
Finishing his shower and heading on to get dressed. He went to his room and put on a black hoodie and some grey sweatpants. He headed on to the sofa and wished his mom a "Good morning" as he sat beside her to watch some tv.
"So.... make any friends in primary?" Asked Inko.
"Not really. Katsuki's been acting weird since his quirk manifested almost 7 months ago now. He picks on people and calls them "extras"? I've tried stopping him, but besides that the atmosphere in class is weird. They think I'm all buddy-buddy with him so I'm mostly avoided. And I haven't hung out with Katsuki for a while now.... he's turning into a bully."
"Oh. That sounds horrible honey. Are you sure you're okay?"
"Of course. I prefer reading books and meditating over some loud, brash kids any second of the day."
"You're a kid too you know. You should make some friends..." Inko said worrying her son might turn into a monk.
"I would if they quieted down a little. It's always, 'let's play this, let's play that' with them."
"Oh honey... you sound like an old man with that tone."
"Can't help it. The memories make me feel older."
"The memories? Oh you mean your quirk! Tell me about it."
"Hmmm? Oh right. Well from what I can tell, these are the memories of Japan as far as the area is considered. There is a supernatural aspect but we'll get to that later. The memories are of a Shinobi Veteran. He serves the Young Lord of Ashina. I don't quite know what period this is in, but it's quite the long time ago. Blades, spears and flintlock pistols and rifles over quirks and modern weaponry. I'd say 800-900 years ago."
"He serves his lord, protects him. Dies for him a multitude of tim-"
"Dies?! Do you experience that?!"
"Well, yes but no. His bodily constitution is different from others. He was trained to be a shinobi for the majority of his life. His senses are heightened, his blows are extraordinarily strong. His muscles more durable. All in all, he's kind of a superhuman. Something called as Dragon's blood flows freely through his body. It grants him immortality."
"Oh, so he cant die. What happens then? When he does get killed?"
"He wakes up again. Injuries healed and all."
"That's..... amazing I guess."
"You sound like you don't believe me."
"No honey that's not it. It's just that...."
"I sound like a schizophrenic?" Asked Izuku.
"Yes... I get that it's your quirk and I dont have any idea what it is, but immortality? Especially in a time so long ago?"
