AN: If you are someone that is studying or practicing law, please ignore the hand-wavey laws I've written down. I have zero experience with court proceedings and law in general :D

PS: This is a lengthy chapter around three thousand words, I have midterms and was studying so I took my sweet time.

Usagiyama Rumi was someone who highly valued strength and integrity. Midoriya Izuku was a man who possessed both. When she'd lost the battle and seen his final move, the only thing she was left feeling was awe, unadulterated awe.

The best part? He wasn't even done growing. His movements were sharp, trained to perfection with no wasted movement.

Safe to say the future generation was probably in the best hands it could be.

She knocks at Nezu's door, "Come in." He responds.

"Please take a seat." Nezu says, putting away a stack of papers.

She does so.

"Tea?" He offers.

"No thanks." She declines.

"Very well then. What did you think of him?" Nezu asks.

She closes her eyes and thinks back on the fight.

Rather than her being the one to measure his strength, it was the other way around.

She scoffs, "He's a monster. To be reaching that level of power at such a young age..." She responds.

"It is indeed unprecedented. Though it isn't like it came without a heavy cost." He says, shaking his head.

"I knew he wasn't normal when I found out he was a vigilante, but how bad could it be?" She asks, raising a brow.

Nezu releases a long sigh, "Since it is more than likely he's going to be working with you longer than just the week, I'll explain first." He says, pouring himself a cup.

Mirko's ears stand at attention, she is closely listening to his words, "I met him when he was fifteen, I'd heard about him from his mother and some teachers here. He showed promise, he's much smarter than anyone else I've come across."

"He had a solid plan in his head, graduate from a hero school and become a hard worker, he'd done the work on it too, to what extent I was unaware." He goes on.

"Then why did he decide to..?" She asks.

"I'll get to it. When I came across him, it wasn't the best of circumstances. A well-known trafficking ring kidnapped his mother. They called themselves "Ouroboros". Through rigorous research and belligerent raids, we found out their goals." Nezu explains.

"Quirk Evolution. A concept mentioned in Garaki Kyudai's book of Singularity theory-"

"Which is what exactly?" She cuts in.

"Ah, I should've prefaced. Garaki Kyudai posed a question many people previously considered heavily. How dangerous could quirks get down the line?" Nezu asks.

"Is this important?" She asks.

"Anyone that has studied history would know about the warring state era, yes?" She nods, "We entered another warring state era due to the advent of quirks. Japan was in chaos."

"Yeah, I know about that. What does that have to do with this though?" She asks.

"That question is no longer asked. Garaki came up with that theory no more than twenty years ago. The result? He was stripped of his medical license and qualifications. Ostracized by society for his views."
