"Wait for it... Wait for it..." Nick said anticipated as he looked at the wall clock. "9:01! Amy Santiago is officially late for the first time ever." Jake cheered. "All right, let's do this. Who's got theories?" Sam asked the squad as they all stood in front of the gates as a group.
"Uh... Alarm didn't go off." Terry guessed. "All three alarms? All with battery back-up? Come on, who wants to take this seriously?" Jake ridiculed him. "Ooh! She was taken in her sleep!" Charles pitched in.
"That's what I'm talking about! Super dark, Boyle, but way more plausible than the Sarge's idiotic alarm clock theory." Jake complimented. "I bet she tucked herself into bed too tight and got stuck." Rosa said with a smirk.
"Mm, maybe she fell into another dimension where she's interesting." Gina suggested. "Or, maybe she got trapped under her overflowing bookshelf while she was keeping back a book." Sam guessed earning a high five from Nick. "Awesome guess, babe." he complimented.
"It's 9:00 A.M. why is no one working?" Holt asked interrupting their game. "Amy Santiago is a few minutes late, and we're all trying to guess why." Nick answered. "I'm guessing she got arrested at a children's prison at the park Carnival for a heavy dispute with the game stall owners." he added.
"I'd like to play. I'd say she's in line at the bank. This is fun." Holt said. "It is fun, but you're all wrong. She clearly slipped through a subway grate and is having terrible sex with a mole man." Jake guessed.
Just then the elevator doors opened with a ding and the said detective walked out hurriedly. "There she is. Amy. Where have you been? We've been worried sick. Do you care to explain yourself?" Jake asked her impatiently.
"I'm just 70 seconds late. It's not a big deal. Don't worry about it." she defended. "Santiago, you will tell us, and you will tell us now." Holt demanded her. "There was a problem at the bank." she sheepishly admitted. "Hot damn!" Holt exclaimed victoriously.

Nick placed down a cup of coffee for Sam and took a seat in front of her in the break room. "Fresh coffee for my beautiful girlfriend. Happy birthday, babe." he said. "Aww, thankyou so much, my handsome boyfriend." she said smiling and blushing.
It was Sam's birthday today. The whole squad had wished her along with some gifts. Amy gifted her a new book series to add to her collection while Jake gifted her some donuts to eat. Terry had brought the cards that the twins had made for her.
Charles gifted her a designer porcelain plate that was signed by Joel Robuchon. She was so excited about it. Gina had gifted her a stylish coat she had brought at a thrift store, which Sam accepted happily.
"So what are our plans for tonight?" Sam asked. "You're gonna love this. I've reserved us a table at the Luncheon Avent at 7.00 for a luxury dinner made by the Michelin star chef-" he explained enthusiastically. "Amore Louvie?!" she asked excitedly. "Yes." he said nodding with the same excitement.
"Aww, that's perfect, babe." Sam said holding his hand. "It's your birthday and my special girl deserves the treat." he said smiling. "You're too cheeky." she teased. "Only for you."
Sam blushed at that.
Just then Scully walked in holding out a pamphlet for them. "Hey guys, as you know, I am standing this year for the Union rep elections and I would like to have all your precious votes to help me establish a very friendly environment for us officers at this precinct-" he said robotically. "Are you reading that out of your own pamphlet?" Sam asked.
"Oh Sam, you get me so well. It's too many words for me." he said with a sigh of relief. "Well, who's the opposition with you this year?" Nick asked. "Opposition? Who's opposing me?!" the older man asked furiously.
